If it's military then it's likely flown from the mainland and get there via GPS or other suitable means of navigation. Thus making it essentially a cruise missile.

The question then, how many were launched ? That single drone isnt likely the only one because murphy's law. People will launch multiple of it, some will malfunction or intercepted.

    Naaah.
Those are Muricans who are so bloody smart&brilliant!
They supply Ukrs with the weapon costing $200k a piece, only to repurchase it on the dark web for $30k.
    A win-win situation, agree?!

Some have been intercepted over the sea, there are footages of it as well. As Belisarius said, it was just another staged action for propaganda purposes.

Pakistan part of an air route used by the West recently to supply arms to Ukraine in its war against Russia.

Now we know it is a cheap drone , we should not waste S400 missile on it . Better find easier and cheaper way . Why not go up in propeller plane and shoot down with shot- gun ? If fail , then pilot dive to low altitude out of the way ( carry FOF ) and SAM fire ! Could become sport .

Pakistan is one of the key distributors of US imperialism. Should be liberated IMO. But maybe they can be turned into something useful - I've got an impression there are certain circles which are not so deep in American corrupt pocket. It's a long game and USA is already loosing grip in many places, with maybe the most significant being Saudi Arabia. They were also key collaborators of US imperialists during cold war working for example in oil sphere to damage Russian revenues. They are not doing it now. US has significantly lost influence there.

    It is not even close.
Pakistan was one big military camp & supply hub for Mujaheds, including full-scale recovery programs for wounded fighters.
Not to mention hosting the prisoner camps for the Soviet POWs, who were tortured ... oh my bad, questioned there and killed in numbers. A Badaber Uprising should ring a bell somehow.
Today's Pakistan carries war games with Russia. Pakistani special forces train with their Russian counterparts for years. A 1100+ km gas pipeline is being constructed with Russian supervision and will be filled with the Russian LNG until there will be a pipe via Iran that is being discussed at the moment (with extensions to Afghanistan and ... India). Pakistan applied for BRICS, still, it was denied by both India and ... China, with the Russian sustain.

At some point someone needs to compile all the (failed) attempts at damage control from the useful idiots like yourself - and then match them with the grotesque pre-war psy-op the regime propagandists were running.

From 'we can be in Berlin in 4 weeks but we just don't want to' to '180 days into the war our military infrastructure in Russia Proper is now getting wrecked this actually means we are winning'.

Revisionism at its finest... now pro Russians have become western all of a sudden and love war... Putin ignored all the peace ovatures from Kiev and just invaded them anyway because Russia loves war unlike the peace loving western democracies.

WTF would Russia want to go to Berlin for except to level the place... and they don't need to go anywhere to do that.

Right up until the invasion happened most here were saying war was not going to happen, because this was Ukrainians shelling and killing Ukrainians... why would Russia care...

But then the US pushed the necessary buttons... nazis, nuke weapons, bio weapons labs and then the final straw was they were going to attack the Donbass and Lugansk and then Crimean regions anyway, so it just made sense to attack them first and get in the first blows.

a shut down core still needs cooling,

No it doesn't... by definition a shut down reactor has control rods inserted to stop the nuclear reaction that generates the heat that creates the electricity... with the reactor shut down... it doesn't require cooling to prevent over heating.

Kissinger said there would be Ukrainian escalation in August and he wasn't kidding.

A Ukrainian escalation would be entertaining... I double dare them to try... because the results will be even more damage to the 60th state of the US of A...

I am certain Russia is contacting other powers like India and China to come and observe as third parties. Any of you guys heard anything like this? They need to get China, Brazil, India, Malaysia, etc, to bring scientists and diplomats to observe the situation so that a record can be kept and keep IAEA honest. The "international community" isnt just western governments, even if our current insane governments might think it to be so.

What Russia should do is simply say the shelling of the NPP stops right now or the whole place will be shut down and the lights will go out in a large portion of the region at a time leading up to winter.

The 48N6DM missile probably costs over $ 1 million

The S-400 system has a range of different missiles and many of them will be older stock by now that they will need to use up at some stage.

Not an ideal use for such missiles, but if they have to be used anyway then why not...

It appeals to a lot of people given the neo-liberal dystopia the US is becoming in a social sense with all its race/sexuality/whatever conflicts.

Even with its inflation issues America is still more attractive than Russia when it comes to getting rich; but money is not the most important thing for everyone. Some people already have it, others know how to earn it anywhere
And sex is not necessarily the main attraction either. Again some people already have it on a regular basis. Besides which, American women are more promiscuous than Russian women anyway; they're just more crazy, that's all.

This ad is geared towards white middle-class American men from 30-50 who have some skills to bring, desire a calmer lifestyle than what they currently have stateside, and are not afraid of learning a language. That's a big market.

The Saudis and Pakistanis in the 80s and in previous decades were fine with allying with the US against the godless commies

However it's now the US and Europe who have become the godless hedonists and partly over that, the Saudis are ditching them.
The Pakistanis tried to but Imran Khan was deposed and that outcome has been setback for some time - hard to say how much. However the stooges controlling Pakistan at the moment are widely despised and Khan is openly calling them out for being coup assets of the US.

These attacks in Crimea have psychological goal, with it Ukraine is successful to demonstrate that peninsula is part of conflict and thus clearly something else from Russia proper. It is all about symbols and Ukraine is signaling that will attack any target there without any respect for Russian very strong military posture. Also black sea fleet is pushed into more and more defensive positions. In my eyes this is brilliant tactic. Ukraine with time will get only stronger and more capable, speed with which they are assimilating western technologies is far beyond any NATO military abilities. Russia will have to further increase already very high costs of operations there without any easy gains and no way out from conflict on its own terms and is not able to distract world attention on other global topics...

Around 5-7 destroyed mstas, plus over 15 captured or destroyed Russian tanks put on display in kiev. This reminds me of the captured tanks displayed in Prague. How the hell did the Ukrainians manage to destroy and capture many SPGs? The russians haven't captured a single pzh2000, dana, krab or caesar. if the Ukrainians can ploink and capture over a dozen(that we know of) russian SPGs, then russians are far worse at counterbattery fire against SPGs. This is pathetic. The russians gloat for weeks about achieving near misses against 3 M109s, to the point of labeling M109s as pzh2000, plus showing 144px vids of random unidentifiable crap getting bombarded, while Ukrainians are showing loads of destroyed Mstas in HD.
This video shows that Russian tank losses are probably over 300, jydging by the ratio between photographed destroyed equipment and actual destroyed equipment.
