My point is that Clooney didn't put on that t-shirt because he's ignorant, like you claim, but because he doesn't care. It's nothing more than a one-off publicity stunt, I'm sure he doesn't even know anything about that timoshenko, besides her name, and even that he'll soon forget anyway.

Luhansk and neighboring mainly Russian-speaking eastern provinces have seen active calls for separatism following February's toppling of President Viktor Yanukovych. Ukraine's pro-European interim government accuses Russia of fomenting secessionist sentiments.

The Crimean Peninsula was annexed by Russia last month following a contentious referendum.

Earlier in the week, a state-controlled Russian TV station said 25 Ukrainian citizens had been arrested in Russia by the country's security agency on suspicion of planning sabotage.

NTV television reported Thursday that those arrested included three activists from Right Sector, a Ukrainian nationalist group that played a role in Yanukovych's ouster. The report didn't say when the suspects were arrested or give their names but included footage of three suspects in custody.

Several layers of police cordons were simply fought through by masked young men - police shields, helmets stolen, there was even a grenade chucked into the building before it was seized but it seems like it didn't explode. Situation still developing.

Rallies in Kharkov and Odessa. In Kharkov there was a rival pro-Maidan rally as well, but it surrounded by the much larger anti-Maidan one and is barely escaping by the police making a cordon for them to flow through.
