I'm surprised from the turkish army's plan in Idlib , i mean who would send his groups "without air cover or air defence" to face a well trained army (SAA) that protected from a superior air support from Russia and air defence ?!! i mean what kind of turkish army generals planned for that !

The more you leave attacks unanswered the more brazen the turks will become.

Btw Russia did not know Turkish troops wherein the tank it thought it was HTS members, So the russians did not purposely kill those guys.

I think so too. Officialy Turlish soldier are in observation posts not in tanks.

Anyway it's not in Putin interest to bomb turks over a failed manpad launch. He can order launches of kalibr at Erdogan's palace anytime he wants ...

Russian diplomacy is probably working in sending turks home peacefully. Erdogan already started sending its militias in Lybia.

    in other news..

it looks there will be a phone call between Erdogan and Putin today.. and erdogan is saying the future
policy of turkey will depend on that phone call..

A phone call between the two leaders to discuss Idlib is expected to take place on Friday evening. “The result of this conversation will determine our attitude” in the area, Erdogan said. The Turkish leader stated that Ankara will not pull its forces out of Idlib while operations by the Syrian government continue there.

Erdogan says Turkey will not withdraw from Syria’s Idlib until attacks by Damascus stop

    https://www.rt.com/news/481391-erdogan-not-withdraw-syria-idlib/

If i was putin i will offer some terroritory to Erdogan so that he can save face ,for withrawing its troops..
something like idlib main city ,to be given full autonomy and turkey to admin it.. and 15km buffer zone of syrian -turkey border...  this he can use to boast "victory " at home.. while at the same time will allow syria to retake
all latakia and all m4 highway and m5.. without losing a single soldier.. and limit turkey control to that terrorist simpatizers city . and syrian army encircle it.. have control of all check points so no big weapons enter there..
later with a different government ,yeas later the city can be retaken with diplomacy (or by force) since will be encircled. this will save a lot of money to russia in starting a war,and will allow also to keep some influence with turkey that will be necessary for russia to counter any US blocking of the black sea..

Much different case, that was a series of escalations.

Not a case of Iran constantly trying to down our jets.

If Erdogan needs an air defence , he can use his hawks or whatever he has but actually he is cawrd to use them because he knows the consequences and he needs a full support from US not just some batteries , the guy said a lot of speeches but he realised now that he don't know the situation there , today also he said he will support his guys in libya to Control the whole country , this idiot don't know that LNA is controlling about 90% of libyan lands with support from Egypt and some gulf countries , he should look at the map and check the libyan borders and tell us how the hell he will do that Exclamation

and this evidence presented here.. will be now in the hands of the Russian military ,and they will provide
    this information to erdogan..

all that putin needs to do .. is tell erdogan to control his boys,.. that he don't want to fight turkey ,
but that if some of their military , continues targeting their planes to harm its pilots.. that they will have no option to return the fire at them...and that it will be done in a case by case.. not against all turkey military ,but only those that threaten the life of its pilots..  if putin present all this evidence of turkey army firing on russian planes
at www.rt.com.. he will have a solid case.. to retaliate.. and he can strike back.. turkey military outpost will be
warned to not do it again.. and they will not dare to do it , because they have been exposed .. and can't say it was "alqaeda "who did it.. and this will keep things cooled down to just one particular incident.  Erdogan can later save face and remove the military that gave the order to target at russian planes..

what is important now.. is that turkey army was caught targeting with manpads russian airforce and that this will be very embarrassing for erdogan to explain to the world community.. he will want to save face.. AND...

that now russia will be perfectly justified in world public opinion and even in turkey society to return fire in self defense. to any turkey army attacking its places.. putin can say now ,he is not there to fight turkey army, that will respond ,to any attack ..now will have justification to bomb that particular position.. in the future.. if they continue... and the operators of the outpost will be warned.. the next time they will be bombed.. Rules of engaments are very important.. they can allow nations to fight each other..without scaling things to a full war..look for example US vs IRAN skirmish fight.. american killed their general.. and then iran retaliated
and bombed american base.. in response.. and each side strike at each other one time and now US no longer
is using hostile tone against iran.. trump was even polite for first time with iran , even offering a new nuclear deal.. lol1

Rules of engaments ,well explained ,and agression documented on one side .. can help justify the response of the other side.. and just keep the conflicts to temporary fights.. without escalating things into a point of no return .
Now turkey soldiers knows ,they have been exposed.. and this is really bad for them... Erdogan can't now say
it is alqaeda the one firing at Russian planes..

looks like the last wipe of pro turk rebels was another one..  of the 200 , anna news and sana news claimed
in the first offensive , with up to 400 rebels killed.. so if Sana news is correct.. then the kill count of terrorist
is 200+400 = 600 terrorist/turkey soldiers in just 2 days.. trying to capture Nairab in Idlib province. they
still can continue doing this for one week or two if they are desperate to die... so be it.. since they should have
about 30,000 terrorist in idlib and up to 10,000 turkey soldiers..

Another disastrous defeat of terrorists in Syria. More then 400 dead.

    in more news.
the latest phone talks today between erdogan and putin..

    Y.N.M.S
    @ynms79797979
    2h
Putin stressed respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria ..

The Erdogan stressed the need to implement the Sochi Agreement, and the two parties agreed to continue consulting to reach a ceasefire in Idlib ...

Unless the regime [in Damascus] stops its attacks in Idlib, it is not possible for us to withdraw. -erdogan

    Urgently
Safe corridors in Idlib and Aleppo will soon open
    After a Russian-Turkish agreement

    Y.N.M.S
    @ynms79797979
    ·
    3h
    Urgent:
Reuters: Macron and Merkel speak with Erdogan and demand a political solution to the Syrian Idlib crisis

So its seems the last conversation the tone or erdogan have changed.. from "syria army have to go".. to
to ...  "Unless the regime [in Damascus] stops its attacks in Idlib, it is not possible for us to withdraw"
also another observation is the war-peace scenario in syria.. with some zones at peace with turkey army
doing patrols with russian army. but in other zones.. they fighting each other.. turkey army trying to
strike at russian planes with stinger manpads and russian airforce bombing at turkey supplied convoys to terrorist trying to attack SAA positions.  Shocked

So erdogan is sending signals is willing to negotiate for idlib.. and don't want a full scale war with Russia..
so in the latest conversation with putin.. by phone today.  possible things erdogan doing are..

    1) he is only trying to earn time ,to hold SAA offensive until they fortify other cities ,with fake promises ,until he position his military in the places he wants..
    2) he is looking for ways to exit the conflict ,without making it look like a defeat for his army.. and trying to negotiate ...

it could be something of both.. and more..
what is interestingly it seems as if  Putin is requesting ,full liberation of all idlib from terrorist ,and disarm Alnusra/hts ...perhaps Putin was told by his military ,that if he give something to Erdogan ,he will continue playing games and that soft talking with heavy airforce bombing on any hostile force attacking SAA is the way out of the conflict..  to win by force , and soft talking.  Smile

It will be insane if erdogan provokes Russia into a full scale war.. that he will badly lose.
and putin neither wants such scenario either.. im sure Russia is telling erdogan ,that both nations needs
each other to fulfill many of their interest. and that is better to work together , that each one on their own.

No deal with Erdo. The deal was the only one possible. Terrorists who are brainwashed to go to paradise, fight to death. Most of them. Enough time given for peace and talks. They will not and can not have peace. Because they are weaker in popular support. Can only exist in war. Conflict. Should not worry about Erdo, saving face. Should not promise land to him or control of any town. The terrorists in big towns, if left alone, will again form groups to fight. Can not be at peace. The big city has to be liberated at some stage. To kill them. Can leave this job to the last. Turkey armour in city useless. In a trap. No place for Tanks. A prison of streets and buildings. No promises. No land. Only ignore Turks, if you can. But if they open fire, target that position only. Let them know about rules of engagement. They already know. Turks can not play positive role. Must leave. Will leave, when surrounded. Without supplies.

what is interesting about this conflict.. is that it teach NATO .. and its allies..
ie.. Americans ,turkey ,israel. what kind of conflict they will face if they invade Syria..
and use their army and or airforce to reverse the gains of Syrian Army..
The claims that Russia "will not" bomb turkey army.. now have been silenced..
Those convoys had mostly turkey infantry armored vehicles , turkey tanks and turkey artillery.
will have made no difference if there was turkey flags waving on them.. they will have been bombed..

but the outpost of turkey military are not touched for now.. as a sign that Russia is not in syria to fight turkey ,
but only terrorism ,but that will also come in the help of syrian army.. if any army or militant force try to reverse
their gains.. If Americans or Isreal army was trying to do the same.. erdogan did.. it will have been the same..
thing.. they bombed and fully documented.. Russia will be justified on public opinion ,because it was self defense.

    in more news..
looks like there is going to be a very long night...
a major big concentrations of terrorist is forming near neyrab according to social media...
So it is possible the mercenary forces will tray another push ,with different tactics.

Actually yesterday turkish soldiers launched a manpad against a russian su-24 from a turkish outpost and then russian bombed some hundreds meters away as a signal for turkey.

Those manpad will be targeting very quickly and very soon if they don't stop them. And in the middle of the desert it is hard to hide from a 500kg bomb, specially that the stinger make a smock line showing where it was launched.

Because you conveniently forgot to mention all of these countries are so weak they cannot do anything about the Alawite regime in Syria, even if they wanted to.

Also, Iraq and the Lebanese Hezbollah are practically a bunch of Alawite allies, so weak or not, neither Iraq nor Lebanon would even consider fighting against the regime in Syria.

Trust me, the massive refugee problem Turkey faces is a major issue which the Turks cannot ignore.

Erdogan true intentions.. with his interference in syria..

Erdogan's quest for new Ottoman Empire mapped out

And this is exactly right... is a re-creation in a new way of the ottoman empire ,but this
time using the muslim brotherhood organization ,as the common ground to lure all this countries
    to become part of turkey...

The arab spring was a muslim brotherhood spring.. and they siege control of tunisia, lybia, egypt ,and tried syria
and algeria too.. so exactly this was not coincidence.. it was mostly exclusively countries in the coast of mediterranean sea.. from morroco to turkey..using the muslim brotherhood as a form of unity.  and the only nations that had to be changed its government was algeria ,tunisia ,egypt ,lybia and syria.. interestingly they bypassed israel.. Wink  israel was never  attacked not even a single time by alqaeda or isis.

This is even more true.. because before syria experienced a financed sunni civil unrest in feb 2011.. there was a delegation of american senators. weeks earlier tying to convince him.. and Erdogan and clinton asked Assad to
create a prime minister position and give it to the muslin brotherhood.. Wink   this is a true story told by journalist and by assad.. and he refused.. to do that.. because in syria the muslim brotherhood it is seen as a terror organization ,since they are always behind the civil unrest in previous protest.. and after assad refused.. the next day began the protest in syria..so called "arab spring".. that is nothing more than a muslim brotherhood take over of the nations at mediterranean coast..  they wanted to remove russia influence from strategic countries ,
where russia could refuel their warships.. the revolution in algeria was in 2010 and failed.. the egyptian one was a success. muslim brotherhood took control of power ,but he was replaced by the military later.. so was reversed. and in syria we know the story.  Qatar which is muslim brotherhood too supporter was the key player
in supplying weapons to lybian rebels..  And turkey and jordan were the key players in using their territory ,for NATO to infiltrate thousands of armed pro muslin brotherhood terrorist into syria.

US and UK are the arquitech of this muslin brotherhood empire.. and turkey and qatar was suppose to lead this
invasions.. their goal is religious.. and to bypass russia pipeline in europe with a pipeline from the middle east.
as a bonus ,remove hezbolah and iran influence in the zone.. for the benefit of israel.. and tranform syria into a new palestine.

this was the plan of the pentagon draft in 2003..after their 911 false flag, to use religion sectarian wars and terrorism to remove 7 pro russian countries in 5 years. before russia could recover its power.. and it took them about 7 years to put the plan.. so called arab spring into action.. they recruited jihadist from the entire world
to target syria. that they knew russia was going to help.

They are biased sure depending, but you are no different really you are ignoring facts to promote Erdo's views ignoring it's his fault it all happened in the first place. Trying to say he is doing it to fix the refugee problem when in reality he is just using them has a pretext to try and steal land.

So honestly you are no different than most people on this forum.

if Erdo wanted the refugees gone, it's super easy to do so. You load them on trucks and send them back. Let the Russians and Syrians take care of them.

    @Vann7

Intresting point you make about Clinton asking Assad to appoint Muslim brotherhood to prime minister role in Syria. But this support that Yanks give to religious extremism, also extended to ISIS and Taliban against Soviets. And even in Iran, they allowed Ayatollah back, to suppress the socialists. I think religion in politics, in many ways does not play positive role. The reason is that religious beliefs and rules are very vague. For example, one can interpret Quranic verses in many ways. Religious belief, is like a bright light that shone a long time ago. The shadows that it cast are different shades of grey. The bright light is dimmed, by passage of time. So where there is no religious law that applies. We must use modern science. To cast shadows in black and white. We must innovate. During the Iranian revolution, there was talk of forming a democratic Republic or Islamic Republic. But the socialists and democrats were weak and there was infighting. So the Islamists took power. It was better to have a democratic Republic, with Islamists as an element rather than an Islamic Republic with no democratic element. I think in the ME, the preferred model should be a democratic Republic with those democratic Islamists elements that will participate . The right wing prefers not have this. To confuse people with old religious text. That they will interpret and dish out to the public. The problem in Iran remains lack of political party. And religion being left as only source of knowledge or reference. Syria should follow different path.

The Turks are sending in the Low altitude Atilgan SAM to #Idlib. What a mistake they're about to make.

#Turkey sending Leopard 2A4s to #Idlib. It's a shame they've ruined this tank's reputation by letting them be #RuAF targets.

What absurd propaganda language. M4 is a Syrian highway and not international waters. Americans are illegal occupants in Syria
and they do not "intercept" Russian military convoys, they interfere with their legal activity. Russian forces have every right to
start shooting up these yanqui occupant pirates.

The reputation of the Leo 2 is already ruined, the Kurds destroyed some of them, even with old Konkurs ATGM`s.

The Leo 2's reputation was ruined by the fact that they need special tents to be used when stored outside. The modern MBT is supposed to be able to cross-country in all kinds of dirt, mud and muck, used and fully functional in any kind of weather condition, and have full NBC protection....the fact they need to be stored in special tents during harsh weather really puts in to question if (Leo 2's) are actually up to snuff to protect crews from NBC and ATGM's.

Yes straight from the theater of the insane and absurd. If this keeps up, its only a matter of time before those Oshkosh dump trucks get turned in to Oshkosh Kabobs on a open fire!
