Solncepek, how a satellite launch is at all connected to this thread, and moreover, don't be a dick and translate what you post. There are few Russians/Russian speaking members here, most of others don't speak this language.

Mmmmm, where do they go next? A courtesy call into Tartus on their way to the Black Sea perhaps, waving hello to the Yemen when they pass by?

A group of ships from the Russian Pacific Fleet has arrived at India’s main naval base to take part in the week-long Indra Navy-2015 drills, the fleet’s spokesman said on Saturday. The guided missile cruiser Varyag, the destroyer Bystry, a tanker and a rescue tug anchored at the Vishakhapatnam naval base of India’s eastern Naval Command,” Captain Roman Martov told RIA Novosti. “The active phase of the Indra Navy-2015 exercises will take place in the Bay of Bengal from December 10 to December 12. The Russian and Indian fleets will be practicing joint actions at sea, including anti-submarine, anti-aircraft and anti-ship defense scenarios,” the spokesman added.

The Indra Navy-2015 drill will wrap up on December 12 with a closing meeting on board India’s Sahyadri frigate and a ceremonial send-off for the Russian naval group at sea, Captain Martov said.

But what is still missing from public view is the most vital element of the system – the 92N6 Grave Stone combat-engagement radar, which simultaneously serves as the command centre of a battery. There is no evidence of the deployment of even a single Grave Stone system to Syria.

You might expect one of the prime military research organisations in the West to know about these things, but obviously not. They should have asked here before they stuffed their foot in their mouths! From their site

Our work is to systematically, independently and rigorously assess the 'defence industrial ecosystem' and analyse the forces in operation, to glean a deep understanding that frames and informs national, regional and international policy debates. This has been outlined in the research group's founding Whitehall Report 2-11.

We aim to build up a 'defence, industries and society narrative' that will help policy-makers, industrialists and other stakeholders within wider society to make sense of their professional world. The intention, through a mixture of workshops, round tables and conferences and regular publications is to disseminate the emerging body of knowledge as widely as possible.

Gee yeah, thanks Roy Gutman for showing us war on terror will make anyone you don't like a terrorist. that's why it's called a war. On the substance however they're basically right. Turkey shot the Su, Russia is turkey-shooting the "moderates". Then comes ISIS, then come more Russian bombs. In a sense Russia is just copying Turkey, when they attacked the SAA in the area and allowed "moderates" to sweep in.

Fuck you mister Gutman, you're only 4 years late.

Already posted? I searched the last few pages and didn't find anything.

Defense analyst Pierre Sprey, who was on the team that developed the F-16, strongly believes that the downing of the Su-24 was a planned ambush by Turkey. He presents quite a lot of evidence to that end: http://harpers.org/blog/2015/12/mountain-ambush/

No, not initially, UHF receivers came as a later upgrade, and I highly doubt the claim that the Su-24Ms operating in the Syrian theater don't have them.

...Or it may be that the Su-24’s military frequency radios were on the fritz, which is easy to believe given the well-known unreliability of Russian electronics...

Looked very staged..  many bombs against 2 jihadist .. lol
What US coalition is doing is a real circus in Syria with a bit of hollywood.
They are 100% allied with ISIS ,and they leading the fights of ISIS and Alqaeda too against Assad. Whenever the American coalition claims "liberated a town".. what really happens
is that they ask ISIS to move to another location..and then kurds move to the location ISIS left.
and to make things more real they leave a few jihadist behind about a few dozens with light guns to try to stop thousands.  So effectively Americans send first ISIS or Alqaeda to attack government positions and then later send kurds to occupy those location and annex it to them away from Syria. The US coalition "liberation of Raqqa" is asking kurds to take Raqqa , and ISIS are redoployed to another place.. then americans get credit for "Defeating ISIS" in RAQA..but in reality not a single bomb will be dropped on them.  Now comes the new part.. every territory that Kurds take..will be for americans and its coalition to create a safe zone to "protect them".
So effectively Americans are in an illegal stealing of lands of Syria and are using ISIS as the excuse for their military presence.

Here is some interesting and unconvenient facts about US "war on ISIS"

    1) they don't bomb Alqaeda ,this are the badguys that supposedly did 9/11 WTC and major enemies of US.
2)The terrorist have Satellite encrypted communication ,provided by European sattellites.
    3) ISIS have been smugling oil with thousands of trucks for more than a year from IRAQ -Syria to Turkey.. very long convoys that can be seen from space Every fucking single day crossing the border with Turkey and moving deep inside Turkey and the US coalition not a single bomb dopped on them. because supposedly "they don't want civilian casualties" was their excuse . lol1
4)After Russia supplied evidence.. or Turkey financial help to ISIS.. Americans deny it.. and still defend Turkey.
5)US coalition do not coordinate with IRAQ government ,neither with Syria or Russia.
They simply fly and do almost whatever they want. The planes in reality are used to drop
weapons supply to them and provide logistics of Syrian army positions
6)FSA ,ISIS ,and Alqaeda are all terrorist and work together. they had problems but most of the time they work together.
7)Turkey do not bomb ISIS ,only attack kurds and Russian planes.
8)United States provide political support to Turkey,Saudi Arabia that are financing and arming ISIS.

So the whole thing is a fraud..and the earlier Syrian army recover its territories ,the better
position they will be to kick the Americans and its coalition from Syrian airspace.

Erbil and Sulaimani airports will suspend flights for 48hrs due to expected RuAF airstrikes across the border...

Mmmm. if this is true.. and confirmed it will be a major game changing thing it will be the first time that Russian airforce bomb in IRAQ. and this is not far? from where IRAQ told Turkey army invaded ? Shocked And the 48 hours timing looks like the same that IRAQ gave Turkey
to retreat .So it looks like this new airstrikes have a lot to do with Turkey invasion on IRAQ.
