It has been debated on here but a Kremlin spokesman admits significant losses of troops however 1,351 deaths doesn't sound like what the West was saying like 10,000 to 15,000 deaths that was being reported a few weeks ago.

Apart from everything else, Russia doesn't typically fire against any targets in cities during the day. It also doesn't have Tochka-Us in service since 10 years ago but that goes without saying. It has them in storage and could in theory recommission them, but we haven't seen Russia use them in this conflict at all. It sticks to more modern and precise weapons.

It was the Ukraine which organized this evacuation mission from Kramatorsk yesterday. I thought it was a bit strange, especially as the mayor of Kharkov was saying the opposite to his citizens - stay put (be used as human shields).
But I was prepared to give them props at least for Kramatorsk - at least they're finally now taking responsibility for civilians.
Nope, turned out to just be a set-up for an ugly provocation.
And now we'll see the usual - calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Donbass (to give time for the Ukrainian military to evacuate from there or flood more troops in or whatever), journos being invited in, mass-media propaganda, etc..
And doubling down on the propaganda - some faked satellite photos of Russian Tochka-Us, more intercepted radio transmissions, whatever.

If it's accurate, the rocket came from the south-west. Which would put it's launch site from within the Donbass pocket. The Tochka doesn't have the range for Russia to hit Kramatorsk with it from anywhere it controls in the Zaporozhie region
