New combat aircraft will be presented at MAKS-2021

I was talking yesterday with an engineer friend of mine from a well known Italian company that manufactures armored vehicles, (he was disappointed when he saw one of the armored vehicles kicked by the Russian State TV footage of ballistic tests, even of the T-14 two days ago) that:

1) Russian development is proceeding apace and we are at parity.
2) A Fincantieri colleague was very concerned about the action at the various Russian and Non-Russian shows this year. The Redut 350 naval and 22386 corvettes...turbines...hybrid electric/gas variants…
lots of stuff, not to mention hypersonic.

Now we're at the direct marketing comparison.

It can't be a Mig-35 variant.

I've always wondered what a Mig-21 would look like in low RCS and modern electronics, single-engine, economical, full MIG style.

I'm sure this is one of the (many) reasons for the sudden standby of the F-35 project, they too have intelligence that works.

Therefore if the stand is from Сухой the model will be a single engine one optimized for air superiority against manned and unmanned today and perspective foreign products.

Is important to notice that both projects have an inherent internal-initiative nature with, at today, only limited Federation's MoD financiary assistance, therefore the aim of this presentation will be probably to catch foreign interests, also in limited joint-development, to convince the MoD to finance the project.

Only thing is MiG is fighting for here is to have it's label slapped on someone else's work, they think they can pull it off because they officially belong to same corporation as Sukhoi

MiG is on it's last legs, unless they can complete new interceptor project they will go down the way of Yak and I am fairly certain that most of that work is also being handled by Sukhoi

I wish the final product ends up as either of these two. But from the shadow on the water, it resembles more like a Yak VTOL.

Until now, it looks exactly as the model at Borisov's desk and the little that we saw in the teaser video. Ventral intake, conventional aero layout apparently without stabiliser. Relatively long fuselage, compatible with internal weapon bays in line with the engine and high fuel capacity. Nothing like a F-35

A random user at another forum said 2/3rd size of F-35 is that correct? I know its a small ass aircraft not that i am against it if they said the take off weight is 18 tons.

No need to measure anything, it is a single engine jet with long fuselage. It cannot be bigger than the F-35, it may be minimally longer but never heavier. It seems very streamlined as was discussed here. Let us see whether some information is provided about the weapon bays in the next days, that would be IMO the reason for the lengthy fuselage.

I wouldn't think about the size yet. At the moment, there is no way to compare the size with anything

Well at least we can safely guess that it's not a mock-up otherwise it wouldn't need a tractor to haul it around

Wether it's a flight-ready plane or not is a different matter

Anyone wonder what the engine might be? I doubt a single AL-41 is suitable since it has a low T/W ratio. Perhaps klimov or tumanskii have a new engine?

Kh-32 is bigger than this aircraft.

The Su-57 was shown to the public a year before it's official presentation, but it was just a model on a desk.
No one noticed.
The S-70 was presented long before the official presentation, painted on a Su-57 fuselage. No one had any idea for that matter, and what more, it was a year+ before we heard that those are supposed to work together in a wolfpack.
This plane was - probably - shown to the public as far as 3 years back, again as a model on a Borisov desk.
I will tell it once more: what are they showing to us, with the latest Su-57 camo?
