TsNIItochmash delivered SR2M submachine guns to law enforcement agencies

The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering of the Kalashnikov Concern fulfilled the contract for the supply of a batch of SR2M submachine guns to the special forces of law enforcement agencies of Russia.

The 9-mm modernized SR2M submachine gun was developed at TsNIItochmash in the early 2000s and in 2004 was adopted by the special forces of the FSB, and then by other law enforcement agencies. It is designed to destroy living targets, including those in second-class personal protective equipment, as well as unarmored vehicles (cars, trucks , etc. ) at ranges up to 200 m.

A weapon with a magazine for 20 rounds weighs 1.7 kg, magazine capacity - 20 and 30 rounds. The submachine gun has a buttstock folding on top of the automation box cover, which ensures aimed shooting both with the buttstock folded down and with the buttstock folded. To increase the efficiency of shooting, a collimator sight, specially designed for this submachine gun, is used. The length of the weapon with the butt folded is only 36.7 cm, which makes it possible to carry concealed.

TsNIItochmash is not only a developer, but also the only manufacturer of SR2M submachine guns.

NOTE: suspect these actually went to FSB and Rosgvardia units.

Nice... the SR series of weapons includes the Viper pistol SR-1, this SMG SR-2 and also a light assault rifle SR-3... the first two are 9x21mm calibre and the third is a 9x39mm calibre weapon.

Obviously the M models are upgraded versions of each type.

The number of carjackings in Moscow has decreased by 93% in 10 years.
Over the past 10 years, the number of car thefts in Moscow has decreased by 93% due to the installation of photo-video recording systems. This was announced on February 12 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
"For comparison, 948 cases of theft were recorded last year and 13 thousand in 2012, when the first such complexes began to be installed in the city," Sobyanin wrote in his Telegram channel.

Car jacking has a meaning different from car theft. It means grabbing the car while the driver is still in it, at gun point. It is a type of mugging.
Such incidents were never high in Russia compared to gun crazy America.

Michkov is one of the top 3 prospects in one of the deepest drafts in years. If he didn't have a KHL contract , he would be going #2. But yeah. His dad was murdered it looks like. Have a laugh at the replies. Of course it was Putin.

After a murder of the high school teenager in Chelyabinsk by Tajik ethnic gang there are many questions around change in regulations for obtaining a Russian passports.
From what I could gather from the news, from 7 suspects that were arrested, at least 3 don't speak Russian, but they are all Russian citizens.
Among all ex-USSR countries, Tajikistan is probably biggest shit hole with majority of immigrants coming in with very low educational and skill level.
I don't see what are they bringing to the table, except as unskilled labor in construction sector.

Around 33 minutes Mercouris talks about a general law and order improvement leading to lower prison population. I am surprised he is giving it
such simple treatment. Most of the prison population reduction resulted before 2010 in response to legal reforms. Russia adopted jury trials and
introduced proper probation. Of course the improvement in policing, the economy and decline of corruption has been key but it is not just some
gradual reduction over the last 20 years.

MOSCOW, July 20-RIA Novosti. Police in Russia confidently control the operational situation in the country, said the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.

"Despite a significant shortage of personnel, the Russian Interior Ministry units are successfully solving the tasks set by the country's leadership to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, strengthen law and order, prevent, suppress and solve crimes and offenses," she said.

According to the Russian Interior Ministry's data on crime in the country:

    for six months, the total crime rate decreased by two percent (we are talking about registered violations), and the damage fell by 42.5 percent.;
    homicides decreased by 2.1%, rapes — by 9.6%, robberies and burglaries — by 25 and 28.5%.;
    The homicide rate is 99 percent, a historic high, compared to 98.9 percent a year ago.;
    the number of "drunk" road accidents decreased by 21.6 percent, the number of deaths in them — by 37 percent, injured — by 19.4 percent.;
the growth of cybercrime has become an alarming trend — the number of such violations has increased by 27.9 percent, and over the past five years their number has tripled.

In the autumn of last year, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, during the parliamentary hour in the Federation Council, announced a large outflow of personnel in the ministry — the lack of staff in the department amounted to 90 thousand employees.
The minister then noted that this state of affairs does not yet affect the criminal situation in the country, but "there is a reasonable limit to everything."

MOSCOW, July 20-RIA Novosti. Over the past 10 years, the number of murders in Russia has decreased by more than a third, and their detection rate has reached a historic high of 99 percent, Irina Volk, a representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, told reporters.

"A systematic increase in the overall level of security of citizens of the Russian Federation has been observed over the past 10 years. During this time, the mass of registered crime in the Russian Federation decreased by 10.9%, and assaults against the person-by more than a third. Homicides and attempted murders decreased by 38.3%. Two times less cases of intentional infliction of serious harm to health were registered, " Volk said.
She also noted that law enforcement officers in Russia solve 99% of cases of murder and attempted murder. "Professional and effective work of the internal affairs bodies in solving crimes, including serious and especially serious ones, brings significant results. For example, the detection rate of murders and attempted murders reached a historic high of 99%, " Volk said.

Compared to 2013, the number of robberies decreased by 4 times, and the number of robberies decreased by 3 times. The number of thefts decreased by a quarter, and apartment-3 times, cars-6 times, thefts-almost 3 times. In addition, teen crime has decreased by more than 2 times in 10 years, and street crime-by 30%.

MOSCOW, August 31 - RIA Novosti. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has simplified the conditions for entering the service in the internal affairs bodies, said the official representative of the department, Irina Volk.

"On August 4, federal law No. 436-FZ came into force, which amended legislative acts aimed at simplifying the conditions for entering the service in the internal affairs bodies," she said.
In particular, the age limits for those who first came to the service have changed. Previously, one could enter the police until the age of 35 or 40, depending on the position.
Now age restrictions will be determined by a special rank. For example, when assigning special ranks to private and junior commanding staff, the age limit will be 50 years, for middle and senior commanding staff, with the exception of the ranks of colonel, 55 years.

In addition, the institute of personal guarantee for those entering the service was abolished.
The changes will also affect those who previously served in positions that provide for the assignment of special or military ranks, entering the internal affairs bodies to perform special tasks or tasks in special conditions. For such candidates, it will be possible to conclude contracts for up to a year without a probationary period.
Now it also provides for the possibility of continuing the service of employees who were injured while performing tasks in special conditions and found unfit for health reasons to serve in the internal affairs bodies.
Such employees who want to continue their service, awarded state awards for performing tasks in special conditions and having the status of combat veterans, can be appointed to individually selected positions, Volk added.

I don't see what are they bringing to the table, except as unskilled labor in construction sector.

The issue with some immigration is that the niche they fill is the dirty physical labour jobs that locals don't want to do, or don't pay enough for them to want to do.

Here in New Zealand that is people to go out on fishing boats for long periods of time, it is hard and dangerous work and the pay rate is not great, though when you get back from a trip you usually have all your wages because there is nothing to spend it on on the boat. I had a friend who went to Australia to earn big money in the mines, but he said half the guys there just spent all their money on booze and tail. He came back with a good portion of his first house... and as he said, all he had to do was work like a slave for a couple of years. Also in New Zealand fruit pickers are generally immigrants because the conditions are not good and the pay rate is terrible too... so only immigrants will do it.

You could argue that sea food isn't cheap here so WTF is the money going if it is not going to the guys catching the fish and why isn't food cheap considering the people who pick it are getting very little money... someone is making big money and they are not the people who actually do the hard work in the industry.

I'm not sure what is the best place for this news. Two generals, Konstantin Ogienko and  Dmitriy Beliatski, were arrested for taking bribes

    https://tass.ru/proisshestviya/18672753

Former air defense commander defending Moscow arrested in bribe case

If convicted, Konstantin Ogienko faces up to 15 years in prison
MOSCOW, September 7th. /TASS/. The former commander of the 1st Order of Lenin by the special-purpose air defense army, which covers Moscow from air strikes, Major General Konstantin Ogienko is accused of a bribe on an especially large scale. This was stated in the decision of the 235th garrison military court to extend the arrest of an officer, the text of which was read by TASS.

"“The preliminary investigation established that from June 28, 2023 to June 29, 2023 in the city of Dolgoprudny, Moscow Region, Ogienko, acting as a group of persons by prior conspiracy with the commander of the 4th air defense division, Major General Dmitry Belyatsky, with extortion received from the head of the public organization "Nadezhda" the first part of the bribe in the amount of 500 thousand rubles, which are part of a bribe in the form of money in the amount of 30 million rubles, for assisting in the alienation in favor of the head of the public organization "Hope" of the land plot of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, "the document said. This site, as noted in the case file, is located under the Lobney sub-Moscow.

In addition, it says that initially the investigation came to General Bialiatski, who pleaded guilty and made a deal with the investigation, within the framework of which he testified at Ogienko. He did not plead guilty and refused to testify.

"Despite the non-recognition of Ogienko's guilt in the commission of the crime provided for in part 6 of article. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ( receipt of a bribe on an especially large scale ), the latter’s involvement in the commission of the crime, according to the investigation, is confirmed by the totality of the collected evidence, namely: materials of operational-search activity, the protocol for examining the scene of the incident, witness interrogation protocols, a confrontation protocol between the accused Belyatsky and the suspect Ogienko, as well as other evidence gathered during the investigation of this criminal case, "the court ruling on the extension of the arrest to the general emphasizes.
Ogienko served as commander of the 1st Order of Lenin of the Army of Air and Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense of a special purpose since 2021 and was removed from his post after the initiation of a criminal case against him in July 2023. Initially, he was arrested until August 29, but after that the court extended his detention until November 27 of this year. If convicted, the general faces up to 15 years in prison.

Even Putin mentioned problem with immigrants during his speech in EEF in Vladivostok. It seems like government might tighten the bolts a little.

    https://t.me/sledcom_press/8901

📄 The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee took part in a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on migration policy issues

The meeting discussed issues of preventing and combating crimes committed by foreign citizens. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee voiced the problem of increasing crime among migrants. It was noted that from January to July 2023, compared to the same period last year, the number of grave and especially grave acts committed by migrants increased by 32%, from 8.5 to almost 11 thousand. The statistics on crimes against persons are especially alarming. The number of criminal cases involving migrants’ crimes against sexual integrity has also increased. In the first half of 2023, the Investigative Committee initiated 22% more criminal cases for crimes of this category. Also, a significant part of the total array consists of crimes against the order of government.

The emergence of enclaves, which often pose a threat to the local population, is increasingly becoming a significant problem.

The meeting participants noted the importance of developing clear special program measures to combat migrant crime.

At the meeting, a conclusion was made about the relevance of the issue of comprehensive preparation of foreigners for entry into the Russian Federation, including for carrying out work activities.

In addition, the TFR’s proposal to organize mandatory fingerprint registration of all foreign citizens at checkpoints across the state border was discussed. The issue of creating a digital profile of a foreign citizen, which is being worked on by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, was also mentioned as worthy of attention.

The meeting participants also focused on aspects of legislative regulation of the activities of employers who attract migrants, in order to prevent discriminatory factors in this area.

At the end of the meeting, a set of measures was developed aimed at improving the state migration policy, which will be used as the basis for the decision and subsequently implemented.

Importing millions of people who hate you never works out in the long run. Improperly obtained citizenships should be revoked, all illegal immigrants must be deported, hostile ethnic enclaves must be broken up. A Kazakh, Tajik, Turkmen or Uzbek that doesn't want to be a Russian in Russia, speak Russian or respect the customs of Russia can quite frankly F*ck off back to the shithole they crawled out of.

Post  franco Fri Nov 10, 2023 12:31 am

On November 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated employees of the internal affairs bodies (Police) of the Russian Federation on their professional holiday.

“Today we honor true professionals, people who guard law and order, protect the rights of our citizens and stability in society. Despite the danger and risk, they come to help in the most difficult, often emergency situations. We are proud of the best employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who have always been at the forefront of the fight against crime and tyranny,” said the Russian leader.

Putin emphasized the courage, determination and competence of the workers, who through their actions strengthened the authority of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and laid down traditions that later became legendary.

“On this holiday, we always remember with special warmth the many generations of law enforcement soldiers, we thank the veterans for their conscientious, honest service in peace and war, for raising a worthy replacement,” the head of state said.

He also drew attention to the fact that in connection with new threats in the world, the requirements for all personnel of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs are increasing. Consequently, Vladimir Putin emphasized, each employee is obliged to strengthen his work in the area entrusted to him and to make maximum use of the country’s necessary potential for the timely resolution of tasks to protect citizens.

“Your effective work in the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation is especially important - in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions,” the Russian President said.

Russian citizens see the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as their protection and support, so the duty of people who guard the law is to strengthen people’s faith in the power of the law and the state, as well as in the triumph of justice, he added.

“We need to work more actively and decisively in other key areas. Stop provocations of extremists that undermine international peace and interfaith harmony. Tough fight against illegal migration and drug trafficking. “Increase the level of safety on the roads and identify economic crimes,” Putin emphasized.

The President of Russia once again congratulated the veterans and all employees of the internal affairs bodies on their professional holiday and wished them and their families health and success.

The day before, November 9, Russia celebrated the Day of the formation of the special forces of the Russian Guard. The holiday is dedicated to the creation of the first special police unit in our country. It is noted that the first police special forces units appeared at the end of 1978.

AK-12 and AK-15 assault rifles, Lebedev pistol adopted by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, by Anton Valagin for Rossyiskaia Gazeta. 12.08.2023.

The Kalashnikov Concern announced the acceptance of its products: AK-12, AK-15 assault rifles and two versions of the Lebedev modular pistol (MPL) into service with the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation.

“This is an extremely important event for the concern. First of all, it testifies to the high trust in our products on the part of the state. Secondly, the concern gets the opportunity to participate in all government contracts of internal affairs bodies,” noted the head of Kalashnikov, Alan Lushnikov.

Previously, AK-12 and AK-15 entered the arsenal of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and MPL pistols were adopted by the Russian Guard.

The AK-12 and AK-15 assault rifles are fundamentally new assault rifles, a further development of Kalashnikov’s “hundredth” series products using the design of the previous AKs. They differ in caliber: the AK-12 uses 5.45 mm cartridges, the AK-15 uses 7.62 mm cartridges. There are also variants chambered for NATO.

The Lebedev pistol is a self-loading pistol chambered for the 9 mm Parabellum cartridge.
