This is contrails tin foil hat BS level analysis.   You see the shock wave because of condensation of atmospheric water vapour
and not because of bomb combustion products.   So different days will have different relative humidity conditions and you will
either see a spectacular condensation even or you will see almost nothing (there may be some evidence of the shock wave
closer to plume depending on the stratification of the boundary layer).   The peculiar doughnut hugging the ground condensation
pattern seen in the explosion shown in the video is also a reflection of the stratification of the boundary layer. There is a
wave-guide effect depending on the vertical temperature gradient (or lapse rate). The lapse rate also determines how easy
it is to condense the water vapour by vertical air parcel displacements. The shock wave does not simply override the atmospheric
conditions, it is triggering what amounts to cloud (fog) formation.

The explosion in the video above clearly has no red-brown colour so its only similarity to the Beirut blast it was a large explosion.

Blast-wave clouds, known as a "Wilson Cloud," are made when humid air gets compressed and causes the water in it to condense. They are very common with a big enough explosion, most people just aren't used to seeing them so they think its not ordinary

Even worse when an aircraft pulls a manouver in the right air conditions and clouds of condensation form on the wings and people think it is breaking the sound barrier... when in actual fact along with those explosions... what you are really seeing is a super accelerated forming of normal clouds... from a high speed high energy pressure wave from the explosion and air rapidly being compressed over a wing surface....

Pace of revolution picking up east of the Euphrates. Could be the start of guerilla operations against the SDF/US. With a map to remind me where the demarcation lines are.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 A.M.) – On Sunday, the Al-Akidat Tribe in Syria announced the establishment of the (Al-Akidat Army) and immediately began operations against the U.S. Coalition and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) east of the Euphrates.

During a meeting in the city of Deir Ezzor, the sheikhs and notables of the Al-Akidat Tribe stressed the need to unify the positions regarding what is happening in the Syrian Jazeera region (east of the Euphrates) after the attacks carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces, with help from the Coalition.

In a statement obtained by Sputnik, the sheikhs and notables of the Al-Akidat Tribe addressed the circumstances into which the situation and matters had turned at this stage and the crimes of the “SDF gangs with US-Zionist support, which crossed all red lines.”

The statement said, “This militia used some criminals, fragmentation and assault on the sanctities of the homeland and society, plundering the nation’s wealth and liquidating national symbols represented by targeting Sheikh Mutashhar Al-Hafl in cold blood and in broad daylight.”

They continued: “As a result of the above, and in response to this, the notables and elders of the Al-Akidat Tribe will meet to discuss these matters, and take the necessary measures to respond to the occupier, his tools and terrorist gangs, and liberate all of the Syrian lands, so that Syria remains the leader of the Arab nation, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.”

The statement would say: “In response to the urgent desire of the Akidat sons to move and organize ranks to get rid of the American occupation and its tools , the elders and notables of the Al-Akidat Tribe decided to form a political council for the tribe from the tribe’s notables and elders, whose task is to manage its affairs in coordination with the relevant authorities in the state and form the Al-Akidat army.”

They explained that this army will be formed from all the tribe’s clans in Syria as a resistance military wing, and immediately begin work to achieve the comprehensive liberation of the Syrian lands, in coordination with the Syrian Arab Army, and “eliminate terrorism in all its forms and chase criminal gangs.”

The political council of the Al-Akidat tribe announced the start of popular resistance against the SDF and Coalition and considered them a legitimate target of the resistance, and called on all those “associated with the occupier and his supporters from the tribe and the region to return to the bosom of the homeland, otherwise it will be considered a legitimate target of the resistance as is the case of the occupier, his tools and his mercenaries.

They added: “the great heroism of our Syrian Arab Army, the sacrifices of the martyrs, the heroic stances of the allies and friends of Syria, and their standing by the right and supporting Syria under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, and we affirm the national unity, land and people.”

    Quite a large area.

A complex issue for SDF/US. Hit these villages too hard, which they are well capable of, could get the SAA over the river in protection mode. The risk of dead/injured troops is not what Trump wants 3 months before the election.

This is bullshit. They’re stamping any dissent in eastern Euphrates as mukhabarat action. It’s not gonna fly well. Syrian state will stay far from this, & SDF will hear the brunt of growing anger against their rule, and when that happens no amount of American troops can save them

    This looks important to me.

The move by the SDF seems to be related , certainly in timing, to the SDF/US upgrade oil infrastructure deal.

It looks on the surface to be the SDF declaring economic war on Damascus. I can't see any other destination for that gas and presumably Damascus was paying for it. This would mean that the SDF have, on the surface, cut off a revenue stream. That's unlikely so perhaps as part of the new deal the US is paying for the gas to stay in the ground as part of their sanctions on Syria.

Whatever it is it could come to a head quickly.

The Commander-in-Chief of the SDF, Mazloum Abdi, arrives at the Al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and holds a meeting with the head of the Council of Deir Ezzor and a number of officials in the region to discuss the area.

This visit comes against the background of the tribal meetings that were held in the region following the recent events and protests against the "SDF" policies in the region.

Abdi's visit comes in light of great tension in the security situation in Deir Ezzor governorate, and the start of a form of armed resistance to the influence of the SDF...by their supported media.

    1h
The Preparatory Committee was formed to follow up the meeting of the Euphrates tribes and clans in the house of the Ekidat chiefdom in the town of Theban, east of Deir Ezzor, and it works continuously to form delegations of notables and supervisors++specialized political committees, social and service committees, military committees, and the formation of a permanent short-term committee of all committees representing the entire region

The committees will begin their work upon completion of their full quorum++of all clans and tribes' candidates, and after that the stage of negotiations with the international coalition will begin to fulfill the demands of the people of the region and lift the injustice and injustice that has befallen them and the region, as well as the assassinations and insecurity that have taken place.

We also confirm that any statement not formally issued by the committee, we are not responsible for it.
    Preparatory Committee - Deir Ezzor - Theban - 08/16/2020.

Looks like the SDF has problems in its own ranks. Too much money stolen on the way to the lowest levels by the look of it.

No. Definitely not Orion UAV, but MQ-9 Reaper. Just look at the EO ball placement, on Orion it's set back just right in front of the frontal gear, where as MQ-9 has it's EO ball more forward placed near the tip.

    Orion

I do not buy the collision claim.   It is wildly improbable but serves to save face from admitting that the "enemy" shot them down.

The Orion rear propeller nose looks nothing like the Reaper and the rudder V is bigger relative to the wings. The Orion is smaller
    than the Reaper.

Collision! my foot. More like the locals in Idlib getting fed up with their leaders getting taken out so often, there might have been another a couple of days ago, by the Slasher Sword Hellfires fired from MQ-9s.

Wonder how the USAF will retaliate? They don't often just take it on the chin, didn't they know who they attacked??? Revenge is a natural reaction when you think you are the King of the Jungle.

Of course not. They would have to have stuck together in a tight clump to produce such the video fireball. Mid air collisions
are rather violent and produce a lot of scattered debris.

Of course there is a non-zero chance that it was a mid air collision of two co-moving drones (why would they be in this formation?)
that was not so violent. But then there would be no chance of the two drones sticking together in a clump.

It really puts into question the US and it's allies about their aircraft losses. There's many times when they lose aircraft and the reason stated is 'malfunction', when many times it's been speculated that they were shot down.

They presented the "malfunction" story a few years ago in Afghanistan as a chopper went down. Problem was that they hired a russian heli crew to salvage the wreckage and their heli came under very unfriendly fire. And the evil russians told the story to the media!
