    @ Isos

The reason, I think Iran decided to strike back directly against America and not just using allies in Iraq or Syria or Lebanon :

( 1 ) The killing of peace envoy Iranian General, sanctions and sabotage from America.

( 2 ) Iranian allies either politically or militarily constrained and vulnerable.

( 3 ) Bringing in Usrael or Saudi, will allow use of  land as aircraft carrier for Americans.

( 4 ) Any damage on Usrael / Saudi, will not compel Yanks to stop war against Iran.

    @ Starman

Of course Iranians will strike. Looks like the Americans are targets now. But reason that, they are ready for this. Because :

( 1 )  They can not live in peace and security.

( 2 )  They are willing to either deter counter - attack entirely. Or :

( 3 )  They are willing to suffer and inflict increasing casualties.

( 4 )  The Americans  are not ready for either scenario.

(  5 )  The same applies to Usraelis.

    @ Magnumcromagnon

If the Russians and allies, for various reasons will not force an end to war in Syria, by defeating the Rats completely. Then it will take a long time to arrive at political solution. Since once there is killing, on a social scale. It will take multiple generations for the wounds to heal. As an example , it took 50 years for Europe to come together after WW 2. Into a more normal, post war situation. So in the absence of a defeat for Rats, a cold War will exist in Syria for at least two generations. With all the trimmings. A palatable situation for Russia or allies?

BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:50 A.M.) – The joint Russian-Turkish patrol managed on Wednesday to reach the last point on the M-4 Highway (Aleppo-Latakia), which links the provinces of Latakia and Aleppo through the Idlib Governorate.

This is the first time that Russian patrols have reached the last point of the international highway, according to the agreement that was approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin during his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on March 5th in Moscow.

Previously, the Russian and Turkish troops were blocked by jihadist forces, primarily Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) and protesters from villages around the M-4 Highway in Idlib.

In fact, earlier this month, a Russian and Turkish patrol came under attack near the town of Ariha, resulting in three Turkish soldiers needing to be hospitalized.

Despite sporadic clashes in northwestern Syria, the ceasefire established by Erdogan and Putin has mostly held in the Idlib Governorate.

The reason for this is due to the large presence of Russian and Turkish troops that have been concentrated along the M-4 Highway.

While both the Syrian Army and militant forces continue to buildup their troops along the front-lines, it appears, for now, that the ceasefire continues to hold across Idlib.

Absolutely disgusting!!! 2 USAF F-15's harass a civilian Iranian airliner over Syrian airspace (the destination was Lebanon, and the passengers are Lebanese citizens). The airliner had to take drastic measures that caused injuries to the passengers and nearly led to disaster!

Trump screwed up over the corona virus... he tried blaming China but it hasn't really worked and he is worried he might not get reelected... so plan B is a quick and easy war/conflict... the problem is that a conflict with Iran wont be quick or easy, but is he smart enough to know that?

I realise he is the backtrack king and depending on the way the wind blows he can say the complete opposite thing the next day... that might be handy... the rocket man can be his best friend tomorrow... even though that rocket man doesn't realise that under all the smarm and BS he is just the same lying wanker that created the whole bad situation in the first place...

He is the arsonist fire fighter... he is always at the scene of the fire first because he starts them himself.

Crod said, soon there will be  Democrat in white House. Some foolish Iranians think that the Leopard will change it's spots. They say let's wait before November. But the Leopard does not change it's spots.

Iranians or Chinese or Russians, should not hold their breath, in expectation. They should not engineer policy towards USA, according to the American political techno speak. Perhaps a new president in the White House, will have had a good appetite. He ate eggs and bacon for breakfast. He is in a good mood. Today he will not bomb us. Let's wait and see.................. .... Biden and Boris both clapped and cheered the murder of Iranian peace envoy. The murdered General. 400 years of racist colonialism. Murder of other people's...

So despite Iranian SAM. the helicopter can fly. And Iranian SAM can not. They fire and we do not. The cure is not simply drive out yank from bases in ME.  Or move equipment or troops. Since any nation can and has right to station them, and they will . And difficult to go to war with every nation. And they can fire  from afar. But we have to fire at them. And burn into their memory, of who we are. So their children and grandchildren.......... Will remember and shake with fear......

...but what you will get is a president more stable (mentally) and one that will listen to allies and not be driven by one country alone. Biden is a fool but he's a stable fool. Clinton would be worse, much worse. With Biden I expect to see a return to normal international relations from the US and not the ad-hoc madness from the incumbent madman.

The general was killed, get over it, he was replaced and to be fair, he caused enough misery himself. The UN has labelled it an illegal act, Iran commits them too, it's life. Biden would not have allowed the attack to take place and behind the scenes the Europeans were not impressed with killing him. Trump and his madness approach to the world is all. So the leopard will become stable...

Time will tell, it always does.

Your confidence in Biden is touching. The guy is clearly heading rapidly towards ill health. His guardians are carefully planning everything so that he can avoid a head to head with Trump. Regardless of what one thinks of him that would be an event at which Trump would take him apart.

If he made it to the election and won he would never be in power, he would have a 'medical incident' that would rule him out either before or after inauguration. In that situation it is his VP that will be the next President of the US.

Trump is just a figurehead with very little power over strategic direction since the advent of CAATSA. I assume you are aware that when it was passed in 2017 much of the President's foreign policy powers passed to the SoS and SoD? This is why Pompeo is parading around the World, he has real power, well as much as TPTB behind the scenes give him.

You should read up on the Uniparty in the US. The US Government, all arms, is now so corrupt that they have no hope of salvation.

As we have seen, it is the US military that has proved to be the announcer of the final say over what the US does in Syria. There is little sign that there is going to be any change there. probably the only lever is if the US actually exits Iraq. If they exit northern Iraq then their Syrian operation is probably too far out on a limb to be sustained.

Trump hasn't done anything previous presidents haven't done.

Sure he has pulled out of a lot of agreements, but the US was never one that liked to sign those anyway.

And the US has always used economic pressure to get its way... it has just been much less open about it...

America is the problem... the democrats and republicans are two sides of the same coin... it really does not matter who is in charge because it is the job of the other to thwart them from doing anything actually useful.

People complaining about Trump upsetting Americas allies have short memories...

Before the election the western world was happy to make predictions about the US elections, and the general consensus in the western world was that Hilary was going to win easily and that Trump was a joke with no chance at all.

Was it really a shock when he then went over to Europe saying HATO was useless and that europe was a parasitic tick feeding on the blood of Americans.

Perhaps they forgot calling him a joke...

Of course despite repeatedly being asked Putin only ever said his opinion does not matter and that it is for the American people to decide who they want to lead them... but of course that is not an acceptable position in the views of the media so in the background he must have been manipulating the minds of American voters to force them to vote for Trump because he knew it would weaken America, while all those Europeans putting in their two cents endorsing Hilary trying to get on the good side of the woman they thought would lead the US were of course not trying to influence the vote or the voters who watched them on the news telling Americans they would be silly to vote for anyone but Hilary.

Even the independents got blamed for taking Hilarys votes that could have helped her defeat trump... as if people voting for the greens or an independent took votes that belonged to Hilary...

Garry whats interesting is that now Russia/ China/ Iran are choreographing their geo-political moves much more so publicly than before. The troika's mask has really come off now hasn't it. I mean half a trillion in Chinese investments/ oil & gas deals and Zarif renewing that old multi-lateral 20 year cooperation agreement with Moscow. Both happening in the span of a ghaad dang week. It ain't no coincidence I tell you.

    @garry
It’s strange how you continuously speak as if Europe is one country. There were and are lots of differences when it comes to any world leader within Europe but you wouldn’t have the first clue about that because a) you’re not European and b) have never worked within the European political structure. Don’t take offence to that, I’m merely pointing out some facts. You come from a (great) country where rugby union and agriculture are your main exports, a nation that lives in the shadow of a big cousin across the ditch...American ass licking cousin at that. Don’t get me wrong, NZ is far a better nation and the world would be a much better place if it had Ardern’s as leaders but your knowledge of European politics is not quite there tbh. Populous sound bytes with no real substance.

A lot of the comments on here are quite funny. Even from an Englishman trying to give history lessons on how US FP operates with a swagger that he’s in the know and the rest are not...English through and through I guess. I’d be more concerned about the mess that is BREXIT, BoJo and Dominic Cummings if I were in England...not to mention the real possibility of the breakup of the Union, just don’t tell the DUP just yet. Wink

There are political norms, just because one picks trump apart for not following them doesn’t for one minute suggest that he’s deviated from the US bullying norms - it’s just Obama was different in many ways (with his many many faults of course - should’ve stopped the US creation of the turmoil in Syria to name only one). He did show how things can be done differently however, look at his stance against Israel, never before in recent times has a US president stood up to the jews, he did this against the MIC, AIPAC and the rest of the US fuckheads but did it with consultation with Europe.

There are alternatives and change is always possible. US dominance will decrease further as time goes by, as most human geographers will opine, paradigm shifts are inevitable.

Now just let me grab my helmet and take cover....incoming.... respekt

It’s strange how you continuously speak as if Europe is one country.

Maybe when it shows some spine and tells Washington to mind its own business and starts making its own decisions I might think of it as something other than the Washington vassal that it is.

Don’t get me wrong, NZ is far a better nation and the world would be a much better place if it had Ardern’s as leaders but your knowledge of European politics is not quite there tbh. Populous sound bytes with no real substance.

Adern is just another puppet, she does as she is told eventually... not much better than Europe... just much less important/effectual...

There are alternatives and change is always possible.

Quite true, but as anyone talking to a gambler or drug addict or even just someone who smokes... you can talk logic and common sense all you want but until the person with the problem actually faces up to it actually being a problem and making the decision to actually try to do something about it then you are wasting your time... and the critical problem for the US and the EU is that power lies with those with money and they like the way the system is... they got really really rich and as far as they are concerned poor people are stupid or lazy or both.

Change is very unlikely by accident, and it is pretty clear Russia and China have actually made no efforts to undermine the west to help it collapse faster.

The whole concept of the Russian North Sea Route and all these silk roads from China to Europe are banking on Europe staying wealthy... Why was Russia and is China holding so much US debt if they want them to fail surely owning their debt is stupid because in any open war the first thing the US will do is say we are not paying to our enemy any debt so that debt will effectively be written off.

You would only buy debt with someone you are certain can pay it back... of course the US started attacking Russia with sanctions and trying to cut them off from using dollars etc etc so it was perfectly natural for them to then sell off all US debt they held, but still not because they wanted to invade or attack.

Russian responses to western lunacy has been sensible and measured and controlled.

BTW And the Australian shadow is not as big as you might think...

What is most amusing is that critics of Trump ignore the fact that he actually started fewer wars than Obama did, and Hilary would already have been at war with Russia over her kooky ideas about a no fly zone in Syria.

Odds are she likely would have pulled out of that treaty with Iran too because Iran was starting to develop and grow and was getting lots of investment... it is like Russia or China... let it grow and develop for a decade or two and it becomes rather more powerful and dangerous to US hegemony... which of course cannot be tolerated.

"Hearts, Heads&Livers: Syrian Army Uncovered Hideout Of Organ Traders In Greater Idlib (Photos)."

These are the people the west will help and support because Russia and China are soo dangerous... western leaders are fking idiots... but it is never their fault when it bites them in the ass... 11/9 wasn't Americas fault... Osama Bin Laden is an engineer by trade and made most of his millions building cave complexes for the Muj in Afghanistan in the 1980s... how could that go wrong...

I mentioned this setup in the past on a T-55. This is an ideal VBIED killer,  a bit easier to destroy one with four 14.5mm barrels. Lol

Forgot to mention that they have also mounted it on tricks, MT-LB, and BMP.

There looks to be some kind of rebellion/civil war breaking our in Deir east of the river between the Arabs and the Kurds. Been brewing for a while but come to a head with the murder a few days ago of a key Sheik. This could get embarrassing for the US, especially on top of the proposed contracts being let in the US on updating the oilfield infrastructure and refining capacity..

Clear cut warning to Turkey that it's not implementing the agreement on Idlib and Russia will be forced to take action

    From Oleg Blokhin (Anna News)
To prevent the disruption of the fulfillment of the tasks set by the Supreme Commander of the RF Armed Forces, the command of the Russian contingent of troops in Syria is ready to assume the responsibility of ensuring the safety of the M4 with all available forces and means.

This will require expanding Russia's zone of influence to the north of the Idlib zone.  If Turkey continues to evade the implementation of the agreement, this will have to be done, the representative of the security agency in Syria said.

Both agree and disagree. I remember watching James Bond Movie. Where he was doing martial arts training, and was getting used to being beaten to a pulp!

These terror acts by Rats in Europe or Russia, if sustained, will collapse government and cause disruption. But Usraelis are used to " Rockets". They keep having kids and expanding territory. No problems. Maybe Lebanon and Syria are reaching this point. And so is Iran. The trick is to hit back. Even Toweliban managed a ceasefire with yank and withdrawal agreement. And they don't have anti- ThAAD ballistic radar homing stealth missiles, like Iran. Only rifles. But they fire back. The trick is not minding that it hurts. Hitting back. Keeping calm and carrying on.......I eventually had to let go of an ant, that I was inspecting as a child..... It kept biting and it hurt......I never picked up another, till now.... The ants did not survive because of Ferdowsi poem....
