The "Kamchatka" border patrol ship of the project 22120 was commissioned. It is reported that on November 23, 2018 in St. Petersburg, at the Shipbuilding Company Almaz JSC, the signing ceremony of the Acceptance Act and the raising of the Flag of border ships, boats and support ships was held on the second-level patrol ship Kamchatka of project 22120 (code " Purga ”) with factory number 052, which became part of the Coast Guard of the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
Until 2018, border patrol ships of the 2 nd rank of the project 22120 were called "border patrol vessels". The contract for the construction of one border patrol vessel of project 22120 with serial number 052 was signed by the Federal Law Service Almaz with the Federal Security Service of Russia at the end of 2016, under the terms of the contract the ship was to be delivered on October 31, 2018 to Murmansk, the initial price of the contract was 1 , 76364437 billion rubles 44 kopecks.
The laying of the patrol vessel (ship) "Kamchatka" under this contract was made at the SF Almaz on May 24, 2017, and launched on May 17, 2018. Factory ship trials were started on October 17, 2018.
Earlier, SF Almaz has already built two border patrol ships (ship) of project 22120. Recall that this project was developed by PCB Spetssudoproekt LLC as a large customs ship on request of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS RF). After the refusal of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation in 2009 from this project, financing of the project continued from the Border Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia.
The lead patrol vessel of the project 22120 with the factory number 050 was built at SF "Almaz" in the spring of 2007 (originally laid for the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation) and became part of the Coast Guard of the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia on April 29, 2011 as PS-581. In the fall of 2011, the Northern Sea Route passed to the permanently stationed site in Nevelsk on Sakhalin, then it was renamed PPS-824, and then it was called PS-824, and in July 2017 it was named “Rear Admiral E. S. Kolchin”.
The second patrol vessel PS-825 of the modified project 22120 with the factory number 051 was started by construction at the Almaz power plant in April 2011, the groundbreaking ceremony was held on November 25, 2011. The vessel became part of the Coast Guard of the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia on July 5, 2013, in September of the same year, also going to Nevelsk on Sakhalin. For some time the ship was designated as PPS-825, and then again as PS-825, and on September 1, 2017 it was named "Rear Admiral Dianov".
According to the annual report of the SF Almaz for 2017, the construction plan of the enterprise for 2018 included the construction of two more border patrol vessels (ships) of project 22120 with factory numbers 053 and 054, the contract for their construction was signed on February 26, 2018 of both courts in 2019. The first of these two border patrol ships "Transbaikalia" (serial number 053) was laid at the enterprise in April 2018, the second ship "Taimyr" (serial number 054) was laid there on May 30, 2018.
