Today Zelenodolsk shipyard launched the 2nd Okean class patrol vessel "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky".
The vessel is 2,700 tons and has a range of 12000 nautical miles. She will serve with Russian Coast Guards at the Kamchatka Peninsula (Pacific Ocean or the Sea of Okhotsk).

"The patrol craft have a modern design, with various comforts for the crew unlike some past vessels in the Coast Guard. They are armed with a single 76 mm gun on the bow, and two 14.5 mm machine guns on the sides. The 76 mm gun can be used to engage surface and airborne targets, along with the ability to engage targets on land. These multi-function vessels can also operate in areas with ice due to their ice strengthened hull. The patrol craft have a flight deck for a Ka-27 helicopter."

Under equipped? It's a Coast Guard.

Unless pirates, whalers and poachers start using something other than AKs this looks more than plenty to me.

It took them only a year to build and launch Purga-class patrol icebreaker.

Looks like number of Ocean-class vessels could grow beyond 4. Delay was due to replacing imported parts but now they seem to have solved everything, engines included:

...Initially, the order for the" Oceans " was limited to four ships, today they talk about nine. In general, once it was about two dozen. Today in Zelenodolsk the stocks of another "Ocean". Lakis has no doubt that it will be delivered on time-until the end of 2019...

Of the 40 Svetlak-class boats built since 1988 38 are in service (Vietnam and Slovenia included)

This boat fills the tier between Rubin-class and speedboats and this upgraded version will be seeing lot's of use in years to come. Definitely mass production item.
