Admission Process In Universities In Russia

Guys,

I need some help in understanding the admission process of top Russian engineering colleges/universities like Lomonosov Moscow State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

What do these colleges/universities take into account when deciding on student intake? Do past grades play a big role in the selection process?

For local no easy. top student? But foreign it ok.

Quick question. Is this policy of relaxed admission procedure adopted by all the well known educational institutes in Russia or just a handful?

I have lived/worked in Moscow but do not know the details about the Russian education system, though I do accept that Russian coders are amongst the very best I have worked with.

I think small edu no differ. foreign is money

No worries. I have been there. My application has been rejected by several colleges across the US.

In 2007 I was in Moscow so did contemplate applying to MIPT. However I was above 30, did not have a great bank balance and had taken 2 years off after my secondary education. I realized MIPT will not accept me either.
