Death of Daesh Leader to Impact Group Greatly - CIA Chief
Death of Daesh jihadi group’s leader Abu Bakr Baghdadi would have a great effect on the extremist organization, Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan said.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A US-led coalition of nearly 60 nations has been conducting airstrikes against the Daesh first in Iraq and later Syria since 2014 — albeit without the approval of the Syrian government or the UN Security Council.
"We will destroy [Daesh], I have no doubt in my mind. And we have to remove the leadership that directs that organization to carry out these horrific attacks If we got Baghdadi, I think it would have a great impact on the organization, and it will be felt by them," Brennan told the NBC News network in an interview released Sunday.
The Daesh is a terrorist organization prohibited in many countries around the world, including the United States and Russia. It operates mainly in Syria and Iraq.

ISIS-linked hackers claim to release personal information of U.S. drone pilots
Islamic State-linked hackers threatened the U.S. military once again by releasing photographs and addresses of drone pilots linked to the takedown of their members.
Over the weekend, hackers with the “Islamic State Hacking Division" published a list of about 70 names they say are U.S. military personnel tied to the death of their once-famed leader, Junaid Hussain, also known as Abu Hussain al-Britani.
The list featured addresses and photos of some prominent U.S. military leaders, such as the commander of the coalition against ISIS in Syria and Iraq, Army Lt. Gen. Sean MacFarland. It is unclear if the names have been taken down by outside sources.
"We are aware that ISIL and other terrorist organizations have periodically purported to release personal information on US service members and military members of our Coalition partners involved in operations against ISIL,” the Defense Department said in a statement.
“We take proactive measures to protect our service members and their families and keep them apprised of changes to the security situation. We will not comment on the authenticity of the information in question and this will have no effect on operations against ISIL."
The U.S. Air Force did not have an additional comment.
Hussain was killed in a drone strike in August. He was previously responsible for exposing the personal information of hundreds of U.S. military and government personnel online.
"Kill them wherever they are, knock on their doors and behead them, stab them, shoot them in the face or bomb them,” the hackers posted, according to multiple reports.
The names leaked were also in vindication for other ISIS members killed in drone strikes, including Mohammed Emwazi, also known as Jihadi John.
In November, Operation Inherent Resolve spokesman Army Col. Steve Warren said that the Pentagon was "reasonably certain" that a drone strike in Syria killed Emwazi, who was linked to beheading videos.
“You press buttons thousands of miles away in your feeble attempt to fight us. A nation of cowards that holds no bravery as you resort to sending your remote-controlled unmanned Reaper and Predator drones to attack us from the skies. So this is for you, America,” the ISIS hackers continued.
Nearly one in five of the Air Force's remotely piloted aircraft missions against the Islamic State involves strikes against the militants, according to Air Forces Central Command.
MQ-1 Predators and MQ-9 Reapers armed with Hellfire missiles have flown a third of the Air Force's sorties against Islamic State militants since the start of Operation Inherent Resolve, providing intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance. The unmanned aircraft have hit ISIS targets on 17 percent of those sorties, according to AFCENT statistics provided to Air Force Times in March.
Remotely piloted aircraft continue to anchor the 24/7 fight against the extremist group.
The group warned they will divulge more intelligence next week “as we slowly and secretly infiltrate England and the USA online and off."

ISIS publicly burns alive 19 Kurdish women for rejecting sex slavery – report
Fighters of the terrorist group Islamic State have publicly executed 19 Kurdish women, local activists in Mosul reported. They were burned alive in iron cages in one of the city squares, sources told Kurdish ARA News agency.
The women, who belonged to the Kurdish Yezidi minority, were executed on Thursday, according to witnesses in Mosul, the Iraqi stronghold of IS (formerly known as ISIS).
“They were punished for refusing to have sex with IS militants,” local media activist Abdullah al-Malla told ARA News.

Once again demonstrating clearly how most of daeshs combat is against the iraqi forces... But you would never think that if you listened to the "defence experts" discussing the conflict who.make it seem like kurds are the number one fighters against daesh.
Similarly daesh last year admitted that the majority of its losses were against the iraqi army and Pmu... And was roundly ignored by the world... not least the defence press.
But the iraqi prime minister mistakenly says that Iraq lost 2500 humvees to isis... And that mistake is reported as "fact" left right and centre.... (iraq lost about 300 humvees and there were never 2500 humvees in the entire northern iraq... Needless to say the majority there were never captured but withdrew to Baghdad.
Iraqis kind of feel like the soviets in ww2.

Don't think much of the defense experts, I didn't believe it when I read 2500 humvees were lost to ISIS that's a crazy amount. Either way, you guys are doing some good work against those ISIS scum.

What, no honour amongst thieves?
AhlulBayt News Agency - The ISIS leader who was in charge of Baitul-Mal (the state's treasury) has reportedly stolen a sizable amount of money and fled along with a number of militants.
Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) official from Mosul said in a statement on Friday that IS Wali (manager) of Baitul-Mal along with three other militants have fled the state to an unknown location after they took out a large amount of money and other valuable archaeological pieces from the state's treasury known as Baitul-Mal.
IS later executed six guards of the treasury building on charge of facilitating the robbery, the statement added.
The Iraq's second largest city of Mosul fell to the IS militants in mid-2014 after the collapse of the Iraqi army in northern Iraq, and the city became the group's main bastion in Iraq which it has been keeping the hold of it ever since.

The Turkish regime offered the Kremlin on Thursday, a chance to conduct joint military operations against the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) in Syria, the AFP reported this afternoon.
This latest offer by the Turkish regime comes just 48 hours after Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
The Russian government has not issued an official response to this offer; however, they are likely to accept, given their commitment to defeating the Islamic State.

Grenade launchers produced by the "Caliphate"
Here on this frame it is clear that they are not only in color, but also in size. There are different modifications for different purposes, one for the destruction of manpower in buildings, others against various techniques. In addition, the IG terrorists claim the independent production of the LNG-9 and RPG-7 grenade launchers.

ISIS RELEASED MORE INFO ABOUT ITS DIY ROCKET LAUNCHERS
The ISIS-linked Magazine Al-Nabaa has published an infographics containing valuable information about ISIS famous DIY rocket launchers.
According to the infographics, the launchers were manufactured by the “Industrialization and Development Authority of the Islamic State ” and entered the service in 2017. They were presented as a shoulder-mounted, multi-role, one-time use rocket launcher that can be used by one fighter.
According to Al-Nabaa, these launchers are used to destroy unarmored vehicles and vehicles equipped with conventional armor such as BMP-1, Humvee, Cougar, Cobra, as well as old Russian- and American-made battle tanks. PG-7V and PG-9 rockets have armor penetration capacity above 300 mm.
There are four types of ISIS DIY rocket launchers:
The thermobaric rocket-launcher armed with a thermobaric rocket, with a range of 250 meters, and the length of the 90 cm and weighing 10.5 kg. It is used to destroy fortifications and to target enemy infantry behind the barriers, inside tunnels and trenches, and can be used against vehicles and battle tanks.
The PG-7V missile launcher is armed with a PG-7V rocket . It has a range of 300 meters and a length of 103 cm. It weighs 10.75 kg. It has a HEAT warhead for penetrating armor. Unlike RPG-7 launcher, it can be used in narrow spaces or inside buildings.
The short-range PG-9 rocket launcher armed with a PG-9 rocket – for SPG-9 recoilless gun – has a range of 300 meters, and the length of 90 cm, weighing 8.25 kg. It is considered the lightest launcher, suitable for urban warfare. It can also be used in narrow areas.
The PG-9 long range rocket launcher is armed with a PG-9 rocket with an additional booster. It has a range of 700 meters and 113 cm long, weighing 12.5 kg and is considered the heaviest and farthest range suitable for open areas.
The Al-Nabaa magazine has attached tips on the correct use of the launchers, including the use of the right type of rocket launcher for each target. For example: shooting at the target when inside the range, lifting the nozzle of the launcher over any wall or edge 20 cm, use the ear protectors during the shoots, the possibility of launching rockets from narrow spaces or inside buildings without worrying about rocket fire.
ISIS DIY rocket launchers not been noticed so far in the Syrian territory, but the terrorist group is actively using it in the Iraqi city of Mosul.

Tajikistan and Paki's better buckle up.
The terrorist group Islamic State has over 10,000 loyal fighters in Afghanistan, and Moscow believes the US may be underestimating their threat, Russia’s special envoy says.
Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) was pushed out of their home base in Syria and Iraq this year by separate military operations of a US-led coalition, and the Syrian Army backed by Russia. Many of the IS fighters who fled those countries ended up in Afghanistan, where the terrorist group has as many as 10,000 troops at the moment, Zamir Kabulov, the head of the Middle East department in the Russian Foreign Ministry, said.
