The TOZ-199 is interesting too... a folding model of the existing semi auto .22lr rifle...

The serial production version of the MP-155 Ultima hunting shotgun

Apparently it's design is inspired by video game guns. So life imitating art.

    More info on it here:

Some interesting civilian firearms available on the Russian market:

ORSIS AR-15J in 223 Rem. Caliber
ORSIS makes quality hunting and sporting guns.

MA-VINTORETZ 9 : Civilian version in 9x39 Caliber with PSO scope
MA (Molot Arms) production is mostly modified, refabricated or refurbished guns made by other manufacturers.

Sadly suppressors are illegal in Russia for civilians so the VSS replica is not quiet...

    But still looks cool.

I don't understand, what is the purpose of such "smart" firearms? To me, it just looks like more stuff that can go wrong in combat.

Suppressors are legal in the US in 42 states with federal paperwork and the payment of a $200 tax. The ATF almost always approves the paperwork unlike machine guns which are more of a hassle - 38 states allow civilian ownership of fully automatic weapons with federal paperwork and the payment of a $200 tax.

As an aside, since machine guns were first regulated in the US in 1933, there has only been one murder committed by a registered weapon and that was committed by a cop in Ohio.

The rail mounts just make it easier to fit add ons, like torches and lasers and in this case cameras.

This is not a weapon of war, this is aimed at civilian users I think and having a built in camera to record what is happening in real time would be useful if it goes to court in a he said she said type situation.

The optics used are pretty handy with a floating point of aim making shooting much easier, and otherwise it is a modular shotgun you can use with a buttstock or a pistol grip.

Personally I would go for a shotgun with a box magazine but we are not allowed those any more... apparently they are dangerous.

The ridiculous thing is that most professional shooters I have seen use a tube mag like this gun and feed rounds in as they go from a slung bag holding loose rounds which they feed into the tube mag as they fire...
