Cut a new order, there never was an order for 60-75 just that they would be doing so by 2020. This order is through 2018 so another order for 2019 and 2020 could still come.

There is a little catch here in 30+ and it is a +. We do not know, how much more than 30 this could be. I would also expect, that soon will follow another contract like the first two contracts, where the second contract follow quite quickly after the first for the first 60 fighters.

Agreed and suspect the 30+ = 36 aircraft or 3 squadrons.

According to bmpd, this contract is indeed for 36 Su-30SM, bringing the totals to 96 for VKS and 20 for VMF, of which 56 and 8 respectively are already delivered (hope i got that right).

I think another contract for similar number will soon follow as 36 fighters is not enough for next year production considering how many Su-30SM per year Irkut could produce. Navy will also need at least 30 more to equip two regiments in Crimea and in Kaliningrad.

Of course there will be. The interest is in 60-75 more aircrafts, so this is probably part 1 of a contract. I believe we seen this before.

    http://sputniknews.com/world/20160329/1037124484/russia-venezuela-sukhoi-jet.html

In the last video of Su-35 we could see two Su-30M2 in the process of completing. I think those blue 89 and 90 are 18th ans 20th Su-30M2 fighters, which complete the contract for 16 jets. Vietnamese order was completed in February with delivery of the last 2 fighters and considering that Venezuela is now completing negotiations for additional 12 Su-30, there is good possibility, that RuAF order additional Su-30M2 to operate with 36 Su-27SM3, which will be modernized in coming years.

In the last Su-35 video we could see two Su-30M2 in the process of production. Vietnam receive their last two Su-30MK2 in February and Venezuelan order for additional 12 Su-30 is not finalized yet. I think those two in production are not the last two from contract for 16 Su-30M2, which were delivered to Belbek in this days. Do you think RuAF order more Su-30M2 to keep production line open for additional order from Venezuela and maybe from Iran or other customers?

The last article prior to this one, on the Su-30M2, was that the Plant was producing them (2) without having received an order for them yet. Perhaps anticipating further orders. Considering they are to support almost 200 Su-35S, Su-27SM3 and Su-27SM, more then 20 would be needed IMO.

Su-30SM with AKU-170 at Domna. So it seems like the R-77-1 found it's way to Su-30SM units too.

    Another Su-30SM for RuAF

Hopefully information is more true this time.

Another idea, is that I am thinking of wanting to work on an Infographic of our own for various equipment.  Issue I think most here agree with is that most infographics that are made are quite basic information and doesn't necessarily tell the truth or the whole story.  If anyone interested, please state so.

good idea imho. Like speed in Ma vs km/h on different heights as Ma also depends on altitude...

The F-22's production stopped at 187 in 2008 -instead of around 700 as planned at the beginning-, the SU-50's production is frozen to 10 until 2020 if not more. Russia continues to develop its SU-30's fleet, and increase its Armata's tank series.
With its powerful radar, its IRST, the SU-30 is able to nullify all F-22's assets. Russia does not need any other aircraft, except and maybe the SU-35 -but maintenance is harder on this last aircraft-.
It leads me to think that SU-30 is equivalent if not better than any other US aircraft.

    http://sputniknews.com/military/20160608/1040989138/su30sm-capabilities-targeting-syria.html

Interesting article about Su-30SM in Syria although not really logical. Su-30SM have TV and laser designating channel in IRST to engage ground targets, but it doesn't have enough negative elevation to designate for others, specially when Su-34 and Su-24M2 could do that job better with their EO targeting complexes and Su-35 could do that job for itself. Most probably Su-30SM work as a command plane, where WSO in back seat coordinate the work of the group and deliver targets to other planes in the group through data link network. But again, Su-34 could do this job as well. This article could only have a sense if Su-30SM in Syria are equipped with new targeting pods and when it do air protection of the group, WSO search for targets with targeting pod and deliver targets to other planes in the group. I don't think, they need Su-30SM as a mediator for delivering targets detected by UAVs.

Anyway, Su-30SM equipped with Khibiny ECM pods and targeting pod will be really capable fighter and fighter-bomber, specially when work networked with others in group.

Armed forces until the end of 2018 will receive 55 fighter su-30CM

    РИА Новости http://ria.ru/defense_safety/20160615/1447882995.html#ixzz4BdWhmLNt

MOSCOW, 15 Nov — RIA Novosti. Air and space forces (VKS) and naval aviation of the Russian Navy will receive up to the end of 2018 55 heavy multi-role fighters su-30CM, said RIA Novosti on Wednesday, Director, production Irkutsk aviation plant (Irkut Corporation) Sergei Yamanov.

The su-30SM manufactured at the Irkutsk aviation plant under contracts with the defense Ministry, and is available in videoconferencing in 2012, and naval aviation in 2014. At the moment, delivered to the troops 61 su-30CM.
"Until the end of 2018 in the interests of the Navy and videoconferencing at the Irkutsk aviation plant will be manufactured and delivered 55 aircraft. Will total 116 su-30CM – 88 for videoconferencing and 28 for the Navy," said Yamana.
Heavy fighters su-30CM one of the first net profit in 2015 in Syria and are used for its intended purpose — as a fighter and as an aircraft target designation for attack aircraft and bombers.

Or to make sure that Erdogan will not make any crazy move similar to Su-24 shotdown; Su-30SM first and foremost is a fighter and Turkish fighters have to think twice before touching it.

Personally I would like to see some Vietnamese Su-30SM equivalents.
