4.750m to be precise.Mir wrote:Yet another "no analogues" system that was copied by the Chinese. Also known as the Vaselik gun mortar.
It was used extensively in Afghanistan and usually mounted on the back of MTLB for better mobility.
Range is about 4000m which is typical of a mortar of that caliber. With that rate of fire who needs accuracy!![]()

Czech version with a lot of ammo and some tech to increase accuracy.

It is very easy, just go to a "fact checker" and search for "disinformation" sources, they have nicely and for free compiled there for you all the sources that are worth following
Or just look at western sources and assume the opposite is true... surprising how accurate that turns out to be really...
DPR forces
Nice... only 82mm and not a huge range.... but automatic mortars make up with rate of fire what they lack in bomb weight... Vasilek...
What are range and accuracy like?
Typical target in Ukriane?
Well in comparison to a 120mm mortar the range is much shorter, but in the time you fire one 16kg 120mm bomb you can fire off a whole clip of 4 x 82mm bombs at about 4kgs each... so the weight of HE is about the same but the 82mm rounds will be four separate hits scattered around the point of aim.
Not so good for precision targets... but firing single shot for that improves accuracy... against area targets a burst from half a dozen guns is devastating...
But it can be used for a direct fire either, which is quite unique.
It has HEAT bombs for direct fire I believe. (not much good for indirect fire though).
I counted 19
Hahaha... the US continues to screw Ukraine... MRAPS are the sort of vehicle you use in COIN ops where the biggest threat is mines... I suppose Ukrainian mines probably pose a huge threat to their own forces, but MRAPS are paper thin to RPGs and ATGMs and 30mm cannon and 125mm guns... even 14.5mm HMGs are a serious threat to MRAPS.
They have their place but not against Russian forces.

A new materials with calibration delivered by the fleet was released not more than 2 days ago.
Konaszenkow's briefings are very good reference here, each time he talks about "precision strikes" made by navy, ground forces or airforce we can distinguish if he talks Kalibre, Ch-XX or Iskanders. And I would say not much changed here.
Edit :

The very first example from today's briefing.
First one is izd. 305, but later he talks about destroying railway energetic infrastructure by the precision weapon strikes made by the VKS - that means Ch-XX.
There is no briefing without this kind of examples, so I wouldn't worried about lack of it

So many choices...
My guess: in the coming days Russia will keep up the pressure on all fronts and take a looksie which one crumbles first. Or if the geniuses in Washington and Brussels
try to send troops from one sinking ship to the other.

Some people still think that Russia will stop at the Dnjepr and only assimilate the parts east of it. This was possible back in May, but now I think every city founded by
a Russian will be liberated.

I wonder what the feedback on their use of the NATO gifts is?

Overcomplicated.
Malfunctioning and fragile.

President Vladimir Zelensky on Monday fired the heads of three regional offices of the nation’s Security Service (SBU), Ukraine’s successor to the KGB. Earlier, he dismissed the top official in the agency, citing widespread treason among agents.
The top security officials in the Kiev, Lviv, and Ternopol regions were fired by presidential decree. A new leader was immediately appointed to the SBU’s Kiev office but replacements for the other two have yet to be revealed.

Izdeliye 305 strike is old, from end of July. Russian MoD propaganda work is really bad.
With that said, they are still launching strikes every night. At least 10 Iskander strikes and some Kalibr. Not on the scale from momths ago.
There's more than enough targets. Kremenchug refinery is still working and all bridges over Dnepr are still fine, among other things.

I will give you a first-hand observation of how this idiocy is working&hyping.
There is some mystic "Cherson Rada" somewhere in the Ukro, and it has its "head".
This "head" twitted that the Russian withdrew military command from Cheson, as all the bridges are destroyed, and they have no chance of survival.
Our shitloaders carried that info further, and what turned at the very end today?
Crimea will be NEXT!
![Laughing](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_lol.gif)
From a totally figured story of Ukro propaganda, they released material for two front pages, that informs the Poles about the following :
Ukros are winning.
Russians are retreating from all the territories they captured.
The brilliant strategy of the Ukro army was not to advance head-on, but to destruct the supply and back of Russkies, which they successfully did with overwhelming artillery might.
Russkies are doomed, they can't supply the frontline troops.
The troops know that, that is why the morale is dead low and they are deserting in mass.
As soon as Cherson will be "liberated", the same brilliant strategy will be applied to the Crimea. All the traffic will be suppressed, and the Mordor horde will have no other option than run away facing brave Ukro assault.
That story was confirmed with some more statements from a retired general Rozanski, who left the army from a position of a general commander of armored forces, some 3rd face in the army's chain of command.
If you are an ordinary citizen, with no specialized background or hobby, reading makes a really serious background.
They really constructed an alternate universe, and parallel info channels to fool the audience.
People are armless in this information war.
