    They're pushing IS towards SAA.

I have a feeling that Kurds will just cross the river on other place if that happened.

SAA must block them all the way ti iraq if they want to stop their expansion.

Kurds Are not giving up.  lol1

Just spotted this on VT, astonishing that someone at his level said something in public as cutting the ground from beneath his own feet as that. Lavrov must be saying "Thank you Lord". My highlights.

At the Aspen Security Forum on Friday, Special Operations Command chief Army General, Raymond Thomas was asked whether American forces will remain in Syria, after Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) is defeated, possibly, to support the Kurdish forces in the north of the country.

Thomas acknowledged that American forces are fighting in a sovereign Syria, where they will likely “have no ability to stay” if that presence is questioned “in terms of international law,” Thomas said, replying to the Washington Post journalist’s question.

“Here’s the conundrum,” Thomas continued. “We are operating in the sovereign country of Syria. The Russians, their stalwarts, their back-stoppers, have already uninvited the Turks from Syria. We’re a bad day away from the Russians saying, ‘Why are you still in Syria, US?’

“It has come up in the form of some close calls there, but it will be hard – I defer to the lawyers in the crowd and others in terms of international law on the basis for us staying there other than our CT [counterterrorism] writ. We went there for all the righteous reasons, but if the Russians play that card, we may want to stay and have no ability to do it.

Relevant since Aleppo was treated as some sort of mass slaughter by the Russian air force and the SAA.
The same hospital was claimed to be destroyed dozens of times. Then after the liberation of east Aleppo
we learned that at least one hospital was a jihadi HQ and arms depot.

Not sure how to reply to posts using Mobile phone bit in relation to the SAA digging trenches etc looking at the ground it's similar to Jordian deserts the ground is solid I did an exercise with Jordian army and neither army dug in its almost impossible even a uk army digger broke trying to dig a shallow trench they considered digging holes and planting explosives to break up the ground and then dig but takes to long and the attention it brings. So a shovel is pointless. Building defensive positions with rocks sandbags etc was all we could do.
