Seems like there was earlier penetration by the terrorists using military uniform or just to prevent such cases. It could also be due to some people/reporters/whatever having some sort of issues with soldiers who asked them for ID etc. (The last word mentioning ego makes me feel that's the case for this instruction)

First one looks like EFP mine, the other one could be also an EFP mine but not so sure. I have never seen one with this rips running along the interior of the disk, they certainly would not benefit an EFP mine in penetration capability.

Pics have surfaced of US dogs and SDF just outside Raqqa. What is SAA and RuAF doing? They need to get into Raqqa soon or it will be hardened by anti Assad forces and US.

There is a limit to what the Russia/Syria alliance can do (with current level of forces) and rushing things will not help either. Lets see how it unfolds. Probably halting the offensive after Kuweries airbase was a mistake (?) and they should have moved ahead to capture Al Bab to the north and to the Eastern city. But sitting away from the battlefield we dont know how easy or difficult it would have been. But if Raqqa is taken, my preference would be to tear into Al Bab and gain as much flanks as possible and make it as wide as possible so that there is IS infested areas in between Kurdish Forces and SAA. SAA needs to take that middle ground so that the Kurdish forces in the east and west do not have a direct linking. I have been saying this for a while coz we cannot trust the Kurdish militias aligned with the muricans

It was already know that the gameplan of the murican dogs was to get to Raqqa using the Kurdish forces. Even the earlier joint attack by the IS and FSA terrorist on the supply route to Aleppo was to halt the SAA advance on Raqqa which was likely with the help of murican pigs supporting with intelligence etc.
Lets not forget that both FSA terrorists and IS are murican teams, one being the A team and the other B team.

Russia is probably waiting and watching how the muricans play their cards. Lets see how it goes, and if Raqqa falls without much fight (like all those clashes between A and B teams, where we hardly see much bloodshed), we can be sure that the B team will mysteriously disappear into nowhere. Raqqa is probably the last remaining PR point the Obama regime can get before leaving office and that is also one of the reason why they are going after it, in addition to getting hold of the territory.

If outside Raqqa is 20km of it, then Russia is 2 km from taking Aleppo.

Isn't really the point. Point is the US is were they shouldn't be, and are not belonged, are getting closer to a major city that if lost to US and its goons, then it is as good as gone entirely. So Assad and RuAF need to be on it. Cause I highly doubt they will bomb anything with US soldiers stationed there. Russians a Assad are having their balls vice gripped for some reason, as I would have told them that they are there illegaly, and if their soldiers die from air bombings, so be it.

If they do enter whole place will become Fallujah redux, only lot longer.

I don't think Kurds will be capable of sticking around for that and "moderates" will probably rejoin ISIS after a while.

    Let them bleed.

If ISIS loses there hold on DEZ, their is nothing stopping the SAA from pushing up the west bank of the Euphrates all the way to Raqqa, it's empty space.

Problem is that true Syrian Army streinght is unknown as it should be but still makes unable to even estimate.

Also many Syrian forces are tied up in different parts of the country because of the streched battle lines.

While I agree that the US has no leg to stand on, especially since it is the main cause of the current non-sense (two competing programs for Syria yeah). It also is a mean to explain that there's NO way they're going for Raqqa now. It would cost the SDF/YPG too much in men, airstrike or not.

The US is dropping calls for Assad to go because the Syrian regime is a better bet than Isis

After Turkey complains, the Pentagon's @OIRSpox says US troops wearing badges of the Kurdish YPG was "unauthorized" & "inappropriate".

A great victory for Turkey, it's not every day you make the US kneel to your stubbornness  Laughing

Kurds aren't as good a force as you think. They'll even go to war with Assad for territorial gains. They're just a good force to use against Turkey, for arming a fu** ton of terrorists in Syria.

The more I hear about these Kurds the more I feel they need a serious priority rethink. Just read an article from one of our propaganda outlets about some girl from Denmark who went off and joined up with the Kurds, and blah blah big dramatized story about her killing ISIS, but she also goes on to explain how she was killing Syrian Gov troops as well...
