I think you mean Su-7 rather than Su-8 which does not exist as far as I know.
(note under the Russian designation system all fighter and fighter bomber aircraft have odd numbers... the only exception is the Tu-95 Bear. Transports, pure bombers or aircraft for roles other than fighter or fighter bomber generally have an even number... the Mig-31 has a fighter interceptor role but it took the place of the Tu-128 which was a pure interceptor.)
The exported types are also exceptions like the Su-20 and Su-22 modifications of the Su-17.
There is a Mig-8 but it is a light high swept wing prototype with a pusher propeller and canard foreplanes.
The situation with the Algerians and the Mig-29SMT was that the deal was for new build aircraft and Mig used planes that had been manufactured years ago but had been sitting in the factories after having been built. In effect these airframes had never flown before and were to all intents and purposes new.
The real problem was Sukhoi offered to sell more Flankers for the same price as the Mig-29SMTs so the Algerians complained and returned the Migs and demanded Flankers instead.
Nothing at all wrong with the Mig-29SMTs, which have since entered Russian AF service BTW.
As you can see it is in Russian AF colours and even has VVS on the rudder (in Cyrillic it looks like BBC), and is most likely one of the aircraft the Algerians rejected.

It is good that Algeria has Su-30s...
Good for Sukhoi, good for Russia and most of all good for Algeria.
Is there any information about the types of weapons bought with the aircraft?
I know most air forces are shy about what weapons they have, and real weapons don't last long if you carry the real thing around on pylons all the time.

Well... the Algerian AF probably has more medium range active homing AAMs in service than the Russian Air Force does by the look of those figures.
Kh-31P anti radiation missiles, Kh-35 anti ship missiles, Kh-59ME TV guided land attack missiles, this is pretty impressive.
And of course the R-73 is a very good base short range IR guided AAM too.
Flash aircraft are not much good without the flash tools to do the job... it is pretty clear the Algerian AF is serious about its job.
Excellent pics BTW thanks for posting.
The two seat Su-30 would be ideal for Kh-59ME attacks.

Thx for info Kratos...
Few questions:
1. Does MKA have Missile and Laser warning systems?
2. Do they have Radar warning? If yes which one?
3. Are there any other differences between MKI(India) and MKA other than MAWS and LWS (if) I know for sure there are no MAWS and LWS on MKI.
4. Your profile picture, is that an official insignia? F-16 killer?

I'm more than happy to answer all your questions my friend
1-Unfortunately like the MKI the MKA isn't equipped with any MAWS and LWS, but not for long
we would install the same MAWS as the MKM but since the Malaysians have a problem with their MAW-300 (the dynamic pressures cause the sensors fail) we backed out.
2-Yes the MKA does have RWR, the L-150 from Pastel
3-The share of imported parts in the Algerian Su-30MKA is estimated at 6-8% mostly French. The cost of the french systems reaches 10% of the contract value, this is mainly due to the price of Damocles and Areos pods
4-No it's not the an official insignia it's just a photoshop
Sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker

Yes, according to Teer@keypubs forum, that is the exact reason why IAF use above mentioned equipment on slow vehicles only and not on MKI. Maybe when Super-30 upgrade is implemented they can find a suitable MAWS.
Any chance of MKA getting any upgrade in near future. Are they talking about it? Maybe they can choose super-30 as well.
Oh it was perfectly understandable so don't worry.Sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker

Looks like a dummy R-27 with no fins or markings.
It seems to get wider, which suggests to me it its a dummy R-27E, but it could easily be a dummy R-77M with a larger more powerful rocket motor (hense the wider body).
The all white paint scheme is often used for "placeholder" dummies that are often shown in loadout photos like this one to hint at a new missile type they are not ready to reveal yet.
Note the missiles with the black bands are also dummy missiles but often have fully functional seekers and are weighted to the correct weight and balance of a real missile so it can simulate carrying a real missile and the seeker can be used for lock on and training.

You were right the first time, it's an R-27R mockup. You can see the attachment points for the bowtie fins.

Wonderfull fighters. Thx for these wonderfull photos.
With a good training, highly motivated pilots, it could cause a sever blow to any US adventures.
Unfortunetly Algeria is the next target by this barbaric crual US empire. They are redrawing all islamic world, and african maps. They started with Iraq, after there was Sudan, Lybia, Ivory Coast, Maly, Afghanistan, and now they are attacking Syria.
Egypt, and Tunisia are going towards a catastrophic civil war, next turn should be Algeria.
For them, Algeria is the key country in order to controll all the West Africa. It is obvious that if Algeria continue, it will be a strong force in the next 20 years.
With its SU-30, Algeria seems to be well prepared, it can respond to any US or european intruder fighters.
However, I think it is not enough, Algeria needs allies, and more weapons from Russia, China. Let's hope this time Russia will be with Algeria's side.

The Island looks rather too big for the rest of the boat... it is like they took the main island from a large carrier and placed it on a much smaller vessel...
