In any case Pro Russians protesters needs to clear the path from Crimea to Donetsk and From Crimea to Odesa if possible. Having land locked
Ukraine will force Kiev to negotiate under any term.. But i will say that only full show up of civilians can do it.. Im disappointed with the
extreme passiveness of Central Ukraine ,not a single city taken by pro Russians or at least no protest directly in the capital.  Ukrainians from central Kiev NEED to pressure Kiev with huge rallies at their doors ,that will truly scare the hell of them and understand that they could be overthrow at any moment. A massive force of many thousands in needed in kiev to make them sure that they will never be able to take control of Ukraine by Force and this will save many lives ,once the kiev junta understand they cannot stay in power for long if continue ignoring the demands.

they shouldn't play with toys they cannot handle..

Apparently CHurkig at united Nations told Russia will use its Forces if Ukraine assault eastern cities .
(if civilians start to be killed by the Kiev military and special forces)

#UN #SecurityCouncil-#Churkin makes clear #Russia will restore order if #Ukraine fascist gangs assault eastern cities as urged by #Brennan

This looks like a very strong message of what will happen next ,and Russia is prepared to do. The most likely scenario is that Russia will send Special Forces (my bet they already inside eastern Ukraine waiting for the right moment) armed to the teeth, with modern anti tank rockets and Igla missiles to help push back any Kiev forces ,including hellicopters and planes ,if too many casualties ,a hundred of civilians or Pro Russian forces start to be killed. So prepare to see the mysterious combat forces without insignia again. LOL

It seems that the Slavyansk defenders staged a surprise attack on the Poltava Alfa yesterday; that's why the storm didn't continue yesterday - because Alfa's leader took a hit to the thigh, a leader of Pravyj Sektor who was with him got a bullet in the stomach, Alfa's driver was killed while 2 other Alfa operatives were wounded. This pretty much threw the whole operation into disarray.

Finally, the commander of that same 25th air-assault battallion, who was also nearby - turned to flee into the woods together with some of his subordinates as soon as the attack started. And this is despite the fact that the 25th had 3 BTRs at the place of the attack (which were also sprayed with fire).

It sounds like fiction, but several sources on the Sevastopol forum (one of the main co-ordination/info centres) are backing it up. And it fits in with Avakov's own publication of casualties yesterday; 1 dead and about 5 wounded.

Apparently the plan for today is such - a BMP-2 battallion is incoming, together with division anti-tank guns. These will be used to assault Slavyansk

    - Russia got trolled hard in the UN Security Council

    Now onto some real news:

    - New deadline has passed and gone w/o incident it seems. Junta forces are rethinking their whole counter-terrorism operation thing. Not going so well; took losses yesterday in Slavyanka (at least 1 dead, 8-9 injured), many special forces units refusing orders for this or that, one gets the feeling that much of the military and police is on the verge of changing sides, one only needs to take the initiative and responsibility. Now Timoshenko and Dobkin are coming out and saying that violence is inadmissable; Dobkin is a nobody but Timoshenko is and she's using it to build political capital. A good part of the Ukraine is anti-war, no matter if against Russia or for it. However at the same time, Timoshenko has said that she supports the counter-terrorist operation involving the Ukrainian military. Weird huh.
    - CNN reports that they haven't seen any signs that the protestors or militia's are linked with the Russian military: http://russian.rt.com/inotv/2014-04-14/CNN-ne-nashel-svyazi-mezhdu
    - Small amount of protestors in Zaporozhia yesterday held out against a fascist-encirclement for about 5-6 hours, until the police finally managed to evacuate them (at first the protestors were refusing AFAIK). They were subject to all sorts of food products, some sort of fireworks, pieces of wood, bottles and other projectiles. Nearly 50 injured in total, some seriously.
    - Anti-government protest building up in Kiev, mainly about the catastrophic economic situation in the country but no doubt the anti-war thing too http://itar-tass.com/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/1119407
    - Rinat Akhmetov's office has been defaced in Kiev, under charge of being a separatist http://society.lb.ua/life/2014/04/13/262992_kieve_aktivisti_piketirovali_ofis.html
    - Gorlovka was taken by protestors today, police station was stormed with a few people injured. Police defected to a new commander, a police colonel that has apparently defected to the DPR has subordinated the local police forces and appointed a new police chief in the town.
    - About 50 armed militia volunteers are on their way from Lugansk to shore up defenses in Slavyansk. They look well-equipped, experienced.
    - Lugansk is currently in the process of voting for the creation of a sovereign republic
    - Slavyansk airport has been taken by one of the militia's in the town. Seems that no-one was defending it. Actually the whole place is an open-air museum piece.
    - Several small towns in Donetsk have come under the control of the DPR, Kirovskaya, Zhdanovka and Ilovaisk. It seemed to all be peaceful occupations or as the result of negotiations with local mayors.
    - Mariupol has switched Russian news back on, local providers have fixed that little situation.
    - Kharkov protestors have decided not to storm the regional administration for now, instead are conducting negotiations about referendums, releasing prisoners, or something.
But it seems there was a big rally today. Or was it yesterday's one?

    - Turchinov fired the head of the SBU anti-terrorist centre. If this keeps going, he'll turn the whole Ukrainian security appartus against him not just in eastern Ukraine.
    - The Odessa druzhina has mobilised in order to meet the US destroyer Donald Cook which is due to dock in Odessa:

    - Lot's of news about the 25th air-assault battallion from Dnepropetrovsk. First it was supposed to be staging a mutiny, over an attempt to force them into contract service. Then I heard that it was taking part in the Slavyansk operation. Now some of its servicemen have apparently been convinced to turn away in Lugansk and leave the territory.

I don't understand Belarus president.. Just weeks ago he was asking Russia for more combat planes for defense of its Nation.
Against NATO increasing military near their borders. At the same time he is against the Federation of Ukraine and its split ,knowing full well
that the kiev Junta that siege power is controlled by the same forces of NATO that he was worried when they increase its military near them.
And well know what are the objectives of NATO in Ukraine ,of turning the nation into a major NATO base..which will even increase significantly more the security problems of its own nation ,not only Russia.

He also should know that The Neo Nazis in Power will never give away its power now that they control Ukraine. And that any chance for democratic Fair elections happening while Kiev control 100% of the government and all institutions and will control all voting process is ZERO. So Federalization is the only thing that can really end the conflict in Ukraine. IF all eastern and souther Ukraine split from the rest of the Nation. They effectively will take with them all Ukraine Industrial economy ,business and access to the sea. Even if Ukraine dont split ,having all South and eastern part  of Ukraine independent. Can be used as a very powerful negotiating card against Kiev , by forcing the creation of a real democracy with real reforms and autonomy for all city..and Forcing Central and western Ukraine to move away from NATO
and create a shared government ,if they don't want Ukraine to Split. .

Ironically even Timoshenko.. days ago recently agreed with the federalization of Ukraine.. or at least with significant mayor autonomy for each city ,and that every city elect their own Governor ,security and police.  So you have Putin and Timoshenko in the same side.. But the president of Belarus and Kiev junta in another side.  I cannot believe Belarus President is an ignorant and do not understand the consequences of allowing NATO to take all Ukraine as a military base.  By Eastern and southern zones..of Ukraine winning their Independence ,Russia could sell S-400 missiles to the new Donetsk Republic..and totally destroy any possibility of NATO military bases any part of Ukraine .because S-200s to S-400s sams will esesencially create a no fly zone for NATO in any part of Ukraine and block all their air operations.there. and as a bonus control also all the coast of Ukraine ,so Nato have no ports where to stay if visit Ukraine.

Lukashenko is an experienced and capable politician. I don't know the issue but I am sure that he has his reasons. Probably he reacts as a counter balance.
Lukashenko is an ally when it matters and that's the point.

Now a question for you: Who said that Russia really want a federation? This will give more chances to third countries intervene in Ukrainian affairs.
Additional will help this sick situation in Ukraine crawl around for longer. They probably bluffing like always...

I don't want any federation. No federation! Russia is seriously winning this, please don't stop the show here!
Probably with the exception of the 5-6 well known Western Oblasts everyone else is about to turn against the coup that ousted Yanukovich and their foreign friends.
This is gonna be a triumph, let the cavalry massacre the routing enemy! No prisoners!

You know what Russia can do?

Use Metallic Paint and drop it from bombers on top of the warships radars and spray the radars of the warships so they cannot track anything ,neutralizing the warship capabilities for combat, using some kind of special paint that while can be removed is not easy.. measure like this will not harm anyone but at the same time will send a message that they are not welcome there. They can also use the boats used to pull bigger warships and ram their warship without actually damaging anything.. That will show them ,that they are provoking Russia and that Russia is ready to kick them near their naval base ,regardless of what international laws says.. since US already violated the time US warships can stay in the black sea.
