Brazil Armed Forces: News and deals - Page 3 Empty Two first operational Gripen of the Brazilian Air Force are delivered

    Post  pampa14 Thu Apr 07, 2022 2:45 pm

Yesterday took off for the first time in Brazilian skies the first two series production F-39E Gripen fighters of the Brazilian Air Force. I share with you the largest and most complete report published on the arrival of fighter jets in Brazil, with tons of photos, maps, diagrams and much more, in addition to a lot of information.

Obviously you are aware that Juniti Saito's ultimate decision to have Gripens and not Rafales, and much less Sukhois or MIGs, is that according to his perception, Sweden is a "safe", "neutral" country, whereas Russia is "communist".

It is good to see that both sides of the aisle in Brazil support the naval submarine program. The Scorpene purchase was made while the leftist government was in power and they funded the nuclear submarine program as well. Which has been a Brazilian imperative, I think, since like the 1970s or earlier.

Brazil’s nuclear-powered submarine program. With all the controversy over the AUKUS partnership, it is somewhat surprising that more attention is not being paid to Brazil’s decades-old naval nuclear propulsion program. Unlike Australia, Brazil has developed a separate nuclear fuel cycle dedicated to its nuclear-powered submarine program. Brazilian submarines would run on low-enriched uranium, rather than the more proliferation-sensitive highly enriched uranium.
Good move! I wonder if Chileans will follow suit!

Chile's Armed Forces will never follow suit due to very close relations with limey intelligence. Argentina is saturated with Chilean infiltrated agents working closely with Whitehall.

The Brits may help Chile, if it stays allied to the West, the same way they'll help Australia to get SSN capability. Time will tell!

could be, but economically weak Argentina will rely on Brazil in naval matters; I don't see them getting much stronger in the foreseeable future to afford SSNs.

Hopefully joining BRICS will boost their trade potential and allow growth in their economy.
