    Now that Moscow has no need to keep up appearances in front of the West, they're really throwing the book at this agent of theirs

    My fav part is that it's supposedly to "keep up supporters" and there was like a group of like 5 purple hair teenagers that came and when they were interviewed by media they said nobody who wasn't in their friend group came xD
    Really need to keep out those masses.

    Honestly he is done. I have a Russian here at work who is the worst of the worst liberal types and even she is done with him.

    We don't know what choice he had. At least in a Russian prison, the chance of getting the final dose of "Novichok" is minimal. Perhaps he was saved from the fate of becoming a sacred sacrifice in the name of the revolution.

    Yeah, the inmates in that prison are probably sick of Navalny with his arm full of soaps throwing them all over the floor in front of them... and very slowly bending down to get them... what a creep.

    The problem with surrounding yourself with Yes Men is that even the dumbest idea gets no criticism or thought... it is a brilliant idea because you had the idea... no critical thinking at all.

    Leads you to do stupid rash things that allow a smart thoughtful opponent to take the advantage of your stupid mistakes.

    The evacuation was not ordered by putin... it was ordered by those in charge of these regions... I doubt they would do it for fun.

    The AEGIS Ashore is a direct violation of the INF treaty which banned all land based cruise missile launchers, which the Mk-41 AEGIS Ashore launcher clearly is.

    Even if it wasn't the SM-6 missile it can launch can easily be fitted with a nuclear warhead and launched on a ballistic trajectory quite an enormous distance which would also be a direct violation of the INF treaty.

    Although certainly Peskov at first seemed to be confused about the evacuations, as was the governor of Rostov

    Well I can see it either way really

    It all just kind of looks like a big theater at the moment, played out by various sides. But I'm pretty sure the final act will be Zelensky being overthrown in Kiev. I just hope mass war is not involved between then and now

    The last 8 years showed clearly what the Nazi regime in Kiev is up to. Of course there were preparations for evacuations made in Russia and Donbass.

    They will be planning for everything... including invading the Ukraine and taking Kiev by force even though the orders for that will never come from Putin.

    The point is planning is good exercises too and often you can mix and match existing plans to quickly form new plans when needed.

    For instance an invasion plan for Kiev might not be of much use, but a core part of it will be crippling the military and political defences of the region which might be useful in other situations, like a Kiev invasion of the Donbass and Lugansk regions...
