They have 26-27 different Armata variants to develop and get into production before mass production of the tanks needs to start... and a similar number or Kurganets and Boomerang too.

SAINT PETERSBURG, August 31. / TASS /. The project 20385 "Thundering" corvette, built by Severnaya Verf (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation), is scheduled to be handed over to the Russian Navy in December. General Director of the enterprise Igor Orlov told reporters about it on Monday.
"He is at sea now on tests. We plan to transfer it in December," he said.

Thats been a really quick transition from arriving without radars installed to getting depermed.
Bit of a shame that they had to put some of the EW gear in ugly mount on the Hangar side, I guess not enough space on this mast for it or maybe some interference issues?
BTW delay on Gremyaschy apparently is due to delays with Zaslon according to ppl at Balancer...

Uran makes it cheaper but UKSK transforms any ship into a multirole ship increasing its capacities by easily 8 times (8 multirole missiles instead 8 antiship missiles).
Next one should be build only with uksk. That would require a redesign however but it's worth the effort.

It is called the Project 20385, hopefully they will replace these after the navy is satisfied with the first few ships, but until then the old dock workers need pay and the new ones need training.

I think only project 20385 has UKSK, project 20380 has Uran missiles.

Indeed which was why I wanted to see more of them, also bumps the Redut cell count to 16.It is called the Project 20385
Disadvantage is it was designed for German engines & domestic replacement leaves it underpowered.
Aldar longname has the Zaslon suite but on an otherwise 20380 hull.Project 20385 is a different version with better sensors.
I just want them to build a decent number of some standardised model.

I mean these 10 new corvettes ordered. They should have UKSK launchers. This will greatly increase their potential. When the 3M22 missiles and the modernized Oniks and Kalibr M come along, they should increase the number of UKSK launchers to 16.
Apparently there is a design of the Karakut version with 16 UKSK launchers? This is amazing firepower for a 800 tons ship.

Well it won't be 800 tons anymore if they put 16* UKSK on it.
The quoted displacement rise for Buyan-M to get 16 cells is from 900 to 1300tons, thats nearly 50% displacement increase.
They got on the wrong side of a vicious cycle.

I guess one advantage is opponents will have a hard time knowing which variant they are facing. You think its the Uran version then 400km away you get whacked by a Tsirkon lol.
