International Army Games 2018 kicks off at Patriot Park, Moscow region



An opening ceremony for the International Army Games 2018 took place at the Patriot Park in Moscow region. Participating teams marched in formation at the ceremony.

Today, the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Centre and Alabino training ground (Moscow region) hosts an opening ceremony for the International Army Games 2018. The Games will be held from July 28 to August 11 at 24 training grounds in seven countries: Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of Kazakhstan, People's Republic of China and Russian Federation. Sixteen of them are provided by the Russian Federation.

Training grounds are located at the borders of three military districts – Western, Southern and Central: from Kyzyl to Moscow, from St. Petersburg to Terskol. It is the first time as two contests of the International Army Games 2018 take place in Armenia (Commonwealth Warrior) and Iran (Depth). Maritime competitions will be held in the Caspian and East China seas.

The Games include 28 contests on field, air and naval training.

Hi does anyone know of the official website for the games I am sure last year there was one. As I wanted to know full list of countries involved. Will there be a thread this year on the games ?

URUMQI, July 30 (Xinhua) -- The International Army Games 2019 in Korla, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has finished preparation work, military sources said Tuesday.

The games will be held in 10 countries including China, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan starting Aug. 3. The Chinese army will host and take part in four competitions in the Korla Ground Forces Training Center (Xinjiang Military District).

That target seemed to be going rather fast...

But then Igla-S and Verba are very good missiles.

To hit such ballistic high speed missiles though you need good warning systems and an IADS that gives you prior warning and direction for the incoming threat... having guys standing around watching for such things would not work... by the time an attack was detected the guys watching would be bored and tired and probably not paying attention.
