Re: Western propaganda
Thick and rich for the country that treats some election fraud protestors as an "insurrection" to be sitting in judgement over
anti-insurgency operations in China. Make no mistake, this "genocide" is all about fighting armed militants of the jihadi
variety. Apparently jihadi cutthroats are legit, and fraud protestors are not.

According to some sources the Uigur population grew faster then the Han chinese one in the last decades. Had the same sort of "genocide" happened to the north-american indians there would be some 100+ million of them today.

When people get in the way of western imperial ambitions, they are eliminated. This is true even today, e.g. Iraq. This is why
the western elites engage in endless propaganda trying to demonize the un-west and to claim the moral high ground. I hear
about Chinese re-education camps for Uighurs and then remember residential schools in Canada and their precursors in the
UK in Wales during the 1800s. Exterminating a people's language through forced schooling and indoctrination into the
"superior" culture was always practiced in the west.

A better explanation would be that we are in the last stage where a rising power can possibly still be contained by a settled power
That window of opportunity will likely close within the next 2-4 years.
It is also the most dangerous time as the settled power will do anything in its reach to avoid the unavoidable. The Thucyidides Trap.
Although according to some info we've already passed that stage

Re: Western propaganda
In the case of Russia the window closed in 2000. Smug deciders in Washington and its minion states assumed that Russia would
disintegrate. Their assumption was not ignorant since that is exactly what happened in Ukraine. But they made the 1000 year
old western mistake of writing Russia off. Bismark left a warning about this hubris, but he has been forgotten.
Nothing in the next 5 years aside from WWIII would have a chance of putting Russia in a box. But WWIII would mean the
end of NATzO as well. So the NATzO deciders are trapped and their thrashing around with aggression is not going to get them
anywhere.
Nahalny was their last great hope. Even if they find another clown to take over, it will take 15 years to build him up and
it will be much harder since things in Russia have gotten substantially better compared to 2000. Malcontent sedition spreaders
need fertile ground to grow their agenda in. Such ground does not exist in Russia and attempts to pretend it does are
simply inane. The non-systemic western financed and orchestrated "opposition" has to lie because it cannot leverage Russian
reality. This nullifies their potency. You can see this in the drivel spread by Nahalny and is associates about the Yeltsin
"golden years". This may sound OK to the typical resident of NATzO, but is deeply offensive to 98% of Russians who did
not get any benefits from that gangster's paradise period built on shock therapy voodoo economics in a brazen attempt
to turn Russia into a colony.
The US had almost 10 years of compardor rule in Russia where their cronies were jumping at the snap of the fingers. They
failed to control Russia. They have no chance now.

Re: Western propaganda
Hipster-imperial bible VICE did paid propaganda for Saudi Arabia
Hipster media giant VICE worked with Saudi Arabia’s regime mouthpiece SRMG to create a video promoting tourism and a camel festival.
By Ben Norton
The hipster corporate media giant VICE did paid propaganda for Saudi Arabia, according to a British report on Saudi astroturf efforts.
Jim Waterson, the media editor for The Guardian, reported that VICE has worked with a soft-power arm of the Saudi royal family to generate public relations material for Saudi Arabia.
According to internal VICE sources contacted by The Guardian, the Brooklyn-based media company assembled a team to make pro-Saudi content in collaboration with the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG), a regime mouthpiece that is closely linked to the royal family.
The SRMG board of directors is a revolving door of Saudi princes. SRMG also owns numerous major Saudi newspapers that function as unofficial state organs, including the highly influential Asharq Al-Awsat and Arab News.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman even personally met with VICE co-founder and billionaire Shane Smith, during his charm offensive in the United States in early 2018 — when the authoritarian de facto ruler likewise rubbed elbows with key figures from the US ruling class, including Oprah, Bill Clinton, Henry Kissinger, Bill Gates, Tim Cook, Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Thomas Friedman, and Jeffrey Goldberg.
Waterson noted that a video VICE published in March promoting the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival was produced in partnership with SRMG. This video has nearly 5 million views.
This revelation in The Guardian is part of a larger exposé on how the Saudi monarchy paid media outlets and public relations firms millions of dollars to spread propaganda to portray it in a positive light.
The popular British newspaper The Independent similarly has a deal with the Saudi Research and Marketing Group. And SRMG donates to the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change in return for assistance from the former UK prime minister.
Moreover, several major British newspapers, including The Guardian, have published paid advertisements portraying the brutally repressive Saudi crown prince as a reformer.
VICE’s American Regime Propaganda
In a two-part episode of Moderate Rebels, the podcast I co-host with The Grayzone editor Max Blumenthal, we detailed how VICE transformed itself from a hipster bible into an echo chamber for US imperialism and the national security state.
VICE Media has received hundreds of millions of dollars of investment from some of the world’s largest corporate media conglomerates, including 21st Century Fox and Disney, and former top Obama administration official Alyssa Mastromonaco became Vice Media’s COO.
In recent years, VICE has relentlessly pushed for regime change in Syria, Libya, and other countries targeted by the US government. In addition to partnering with Saudi regime mouthpieces, VICE co-produced a hawkish documentary with Council on Foreign Relations President Richard Haass, which brought together notorious neoconservatives and neoliberals to advance US foreign policy interests.
Another co-founder of VICE, Gavin McInnes, since leaving the company in disagreement with the other co-founders, has become a far-right demagogue and leader of the hate group the Proud Boys, which McInnes has proudly referred to as a “gang.”
The VICE co-founder has openly encouraged and incited violence against leftists and marginalized groups, stating, “We will kill you… We will assassinate you,” and “Fighting solves everything. We need more violence from the Trump people. Trump supporters: Choke a motherfucker. Choke a bitch. Choke a tranny. Get your fingers around the windpipe.”

Re: Western propaganda
Western presstitute falsely claiming Russia is a gerontocracy, you gotta love Bryan MacDonald's rebuke:
And the follow up rebukes:
Must-read from
@HenryJFoy
on Putin‘s brutal third act. His regime is beginning to resemble a gerontocracy completely cut off from the younger generation of Russians. 1985 all over again. https://ft.com/content/59498c92-799f-4c61-ac2e-77e7e302cc32 via
@financialtimes
https://twitter.com/GuyChazan/status/1370684025359245317
That doesn't really stack up when you consider the Prime Minister (Mishustin) is 55, the Kremlin Chief of Staff (Vaino) is 49 & his deputy (Kiriyenko) is 58. Meanwhile, Putin is sitting on $580 billion in reserves, whereas by 1985 the USSR was essentially broke.
https://twitter.com/27khv/status/1370707280623190019
And the follow up rebukes:
Not to mention a whole host of government ministers under age of 50:
Patrushev (43, Agriculture), Shadayev (41, Communications), Lyubimova (40, Culture), Kravtsov (46, Education), Reshetnikov (41, Economy), Falkov (42, Science), Kozlov (40, Resources), Kotyakov (40, Labour).
https://twitter.com/27khv/status/1370707780076732417
In fact, I'd hazard a guess that the average age of the Russian government is *substantially* lower than that of the US equivalent.
For example, Putin himself is a *10 years* younger than Joe Biden.
Sorry, but the equivalence with 1985 would not pass a basic fact check.

Re: Western propaganda
West’s Cynical Concern for Myanmar, by Finian Cunningham for Sputnik news.
The three Western powers on the United Nations Security Council have been highlighting concern for human rights violations in Myanmar. But their “concern” seems to have cynical motivation to make problems for China.
Last week the Security Council issued a statement condemning violence against civilians by the military regime in Myanmar. The Asian country has been thrown into turmoil since the military seized power by ousting a civilian government on 1 February.
More than 60 civilians have been killed from soldiers firing on unarmed protesters who are calling for the return of the elected government. At least 1,500 people have been detained including political leaders.
Britain, the former colonial ruler of Burma (now Myanmar), as well as the United States and France, have been demanding that the Security Council condemn the military takeover and subsequent violence against civilians. Last week, the Western powers succeeded in getting China to sign on to a joint statement of condemnation.
Previously, China was rebuked by Western powers for siding with Myanmar’s military after Beijing was accused of giving political cover to its power-grab.
China has invested billions of dollars in making Myanmar a key node in its Belt and Road Initiative for global trade. The country provides transit for two Chinese-built pipelines which transport natural gas and oil over 800 kilometres from the Indian Ocean into mainland China. There are also ambitions projects underway for rail transport and deep-water sea ports.
Beijing had good relations with the civilian government in Myanmar which became established in 2011 when the military junta handed over power and permitted elections. Many of its ambitious projects were negotiated with the elected politicians. It’s fair to say that China is not happy about the military’s sacking of the government. The insecurity in the country is potentially jeopardizing billions of dollars-worth of investments and crucial infrastructure for China’s energy supply and international trade.
That’s why the Western powers are relishing the invidious position China is in over Myanmar.
Beijing’s reticence in joining earlier condemnations was highlighted by Britain and the United States. That bad publicity served to mobilise protesters in Myanmar to target China with their anger. According to Reuters reporting, there are threats being made of sabotage against China’s energy pipelines and other business interests.
No doubt this is how China was pressured into issuing a joint statement of condemnation by the UN Security Council. Britain’s ambassador to the UN Barbara Woodward has said there will be more hard-hitting statements drafted in the future which China (and Russia) will be expected to support.
This is the cynical politics of condemnation. Western powers sense they have China over a barrel with Myanmar due to its strategic economic interests. If China doesn’t condemn then the anger of Myanmar protesters can be directed at ripping up infrastructure. If China does condemn, then it is being put into sour relations with Myanmar’s military rulers. The Western powers appear to be ratcheting up the vice-like position.
The Biden administration has made it abundantly clear that it is ramping up the geopolitical rivalry with China even more than the previous Trump administration. Washington wants to clamp down on China’s rise as a global power. By targeting Myanmar, the United States and its Western allies calculate that they can damage a key node in China’s new Silk Routes for its lucrative global trade and economic expansion.
Britain, which fought three colonial wars in what was Burma and ruthlessly exploited the Asian nation for decades, is the least qualified party to be “concerned” about democracy and human rights in Myanmar.
If the Western powers had any genuine, principled concern, then why aren’t they making statements of condemnation over much more disturbing violations elsewhere in the world?
The utter duplicity of the Western powers shows that their “concern” about Myanmar is a cynical political weapon which they are trying to use against China.

I have to laugh at the sight of Wolf Blitzer breathlessly informing the viewers of CNN that "U.S. Intelligence" sources indicate that Iran and Russia sought to influence the U.S. 2020 elections. I wonder if any other foreign governments attempt to "influence" the U.S. political process? Israel perhaps? Before his CNN anchor job, Wolf was a paid lobbyist for AIPAC. You have to admire the utter shamelessness of these people.

Re: Western propaganda
Nothing surprising about the insane western propaganda. After crying 24/7 about Serb shelling of Sarajevo in the 1990s, they
gave flying fcuks about shelling of civilians by Kiev regime forces since 2014. And you can't even compare the two cases because
the villages and Donetsk residential areas being shelled don't have military targets (*). By contrast the BiH forces used Sarajevo
residents like human shields the same way that the Ukr regime parks its mortars, tanks and howitzers inside residential areas
to use the local civilians as human shields while attacking civilians. Naturally, western liars claim that it is the NR forces that
are doing this. But as with the magical Russian army in the Donbass they never give any evidence and what they trot out is

(*) To those who are doubtful, use your brain, what fcuking targets would NR forces have outside of these residential areas
aside from Kiev regime forces? The residential areas are surrounded by mostly farm fields with a few villages occupied by Kiev's punitive
forces. The are no urban green lines. So NR forces would hide behind their own civilians to fight off these punitive forces? Why
would they do that? Who has the motive? A question never asked anymore.
gave flying fcuks about shelling of civilians by Kiev regime forces since 2014.
But as with the magical Russian army in the Donbass they never give any evidence and what they trot out is
the same as the OSCE rubbish posted above.

Re: Western propaganda
So a previously unknown cinema award is suddenly being labeled "prestigious" after its panel has been infiltrated with 5th columnist rodents and started making a stink by nominating Navalny's political propaganda videos for one of its upcoming events.
This is yet another indication that Russia has a lot of work to do to disinfect its institutions of these 5th column bacteria.

Navalny's Selection For Prestigious Cinema Prize Provokes Rift In Russia's Film Community
MOSCOW -- The Russian Guild of Film Critics has dropped its prestigious White Elephant cinema prize after its own expert panel awarded jailed opposition politician Aleksei Navalny for a series of investigative documentaries revealing evidence of corruption among the country's top officials.
The jury of the White Elephant film award, which is given out in over a dozen categories, announced its list of winners on March 14. Navalny and his creative team, which includes members of his Moscow-based Anti-Corruption Foundation, were nominated in a special category titled Event Of The Year and were expected to be officially recognized at a ceremony next month.
The Russian Guild of Film Critics, a professional organization which is part of the Russian Filmmakers’ Union and is headquartered in Moscow, subsequently announced it would no longer sponsor the award, which it has conferred annually since 1998, first as The Golden Ram and then under the name The White Elephant.
