This counts for the 1533 AD RGT at Vladivostok (589 RGT Nachodka is already equipped with S-400).
After endless announcement during the last three years it seems that the RGT will finally be re-equipped with S-400 until the end of the year.

The first sample of the new S-500 air defense missile system will appear by 2020
http://dfnc.ru/c106-technika/pervyj-obrazets-novoj-zenitno-raketnoj-sistemy-s-500-poyavitsya-k-2020-godu/
http://dfnc.ru/c106-technika/pervyj-obrazets-novoj-zenitno-raketnoj-sistemy-s-500-poyavitsya-k-2020-godu/
According to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Yuri Borisov, the first sample of the newest S-500 air defense missile system "Prometey" should appear by 2020. Also, according to him, the works are conducted in full accordance with the schedule.
The work on the creation of the new anti-aircraft missile system S-500 has been carried out by Almaz-Antey since the beginning of this decade, and the C-500 system is one of the most anticipated and well-known examples of Russian "weapons of the future".
The S-500 is a new-generation anti-aircraft missile system that will effectively fight not only existing weapons, but also those that are just now ripening in the minds of designers or are being developed - hypersonic cruise missiles, hypersonic drone drones, weapons systems, placed on low-earth orbiting satellite platforms, etc. The S-500 will have a wide range of detection and destruction facilities, both aerodynamic and ballistic purposes, including combat parts of intercontinental ballistic missiles in the final phase of the flight.
The S-500 will actually include 2 anti-aircraft missile systems - one for defeating aerodynamic targets, the second for ballistic missiles. The structure of the means for combating aerodynamic targets will be similar to the structure of the S-400 air defense system, which is currently armed with anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russian Air Force. So, the command structure, the observation radar of 91N6AM, as well as anti-aircraft missile battalions in the multifunctional radar (probably representing the improved 92N6 radar used in the S-400 air defense system) and launchers, will enter the S-500 structure. The S-500 will receive a 40H6 ultra-long range missile with a range of up to 400 kilometers, which was originally planned to equip the S-400, and will also be armed with existing anti-aircraft missiles 48N6D. According to representatives of the Almaz-Antei concern, the work on the 40N6 missile is progressing successfully and in accordance with the schedule. Thus, the capabilities to combat aerodynamic targets at the S-500 will increase substantially due to the new ultra-long range missile, which will make it possible to hit long-range radar detection aircraft, air command posts, EW aircraft, etc., operating at a considerable distance behind the tactical aviation orders , and also to hit enemy aircraft, long before the boundary of the use of weapons.
The "anti-missile" part of the S-500 complex will consist of a combat control post, radars 77T6 and 76T6 designed specifically for detecting ballistic targets and aiming missiles at them. It is reported that the S-500 will be able to detect ballistic targets at a distance of up to 2000 kilometers. To defeat the ballistic targets, the S-500 will be armed with advanced missiles 77N6-N. According to information available in open sources, it can be assumed that the 77N6-H anti-missile is a further development of the 9M82 family antimissiles (which are used to combat short-range ballistic missiles in the S-300V anti-ballistic missile system), but with significantly increased characteristics. The capabilities of the 77N6-N missiles are expected to ensure a sure defeat of the combat blocks of ballistic missiles with a range of at least 3.
The S-500 complex will thus be the answer to any challenges of the future. In terms of the missile defense capabilities of the S-500, it is likely to surpass the existing US missile defense system THAAD, as well as the sea-based anti-missile system based on Aegis ships armed with SM-3 interceptor missiles. However, the US missile defense systems are designed exclusively to defeat ballistic targets, while the C-500, in addition to providing an anti-missile defense of a huge territory, can not only fight with the most modern means of air attack, but also with promising ones. In addition, the S-500 system can be integrated into the country's missile defense system, as well as provide control of the whole air defense grouping

New Russian anti-missile system: faster, higher, more powerful
https://www.gazeta.ru/army/2017/11/24/11002088.shtml?updated
https://www.gazeta.ru/army/2017/11/24/11002088.shtml?updated
On November 23, 2017, an entirely new product took off from site No. 35. In appearance, this is the 53T6 antitank of the previous version, whose body is made of high-strength steels using winding made of composite materials with conical charges of solid fuel of specific shape and which has a detachable controllable warhead with gas-dynamic steering engines.
Now a new engine, on-board equipment on a modern electronic-component base, construction materials are installed on the anti-racket. Hence the completely expanded combat capabilities of this product, Gazeta.ru was told by a high-ranking source in the defense-industrial complex.
The renewed anti-missile system began to develop even faster. 53T6 and in former times flew several times faster than the bullet and gained in a matter of seconds the speed of more than 3 km / sec, being the fastest rocket in the world. In the modernized version, its speed approached already to 4 km / sec.
The available overloading of the product has significantly increased. If they used to exceed 200 g, now they are close to 300 g (for example - the S-75 missile could withstand only 8 g, modern missile systems "keep", as a rule, not more than 30 g). And with such overloads, the on-board equipment of the anti-missile system PRS-1M retains its operability.
The new product almost a half times increased the zone of damage in height and range. Now, the interception of combat blocks of the enemy's intercontinental ballistic missiles is confidently carried out at a height well over 50 km.
The missile is equipped with a nuclear warhead with a capacity of several kilotons. According to some sources, fragmentation warhead of directed action has recently been developed. But there is no single confirmation of this yet.
Thus, with the arrival of a new anti-missile PRS-1M to equip the A-135 suburban system near Moscow, the effectiveness of missile defense in Moscow and the Central Industrial District will increase substantially. As a matter of fact, the ABM system A-135 acquires a completely new quality with the new product.
Rumors that on November 23, 2017, the A-235 Nudol anti-ballistic missile, previously spread by some sources, was tested at the Saryshagan training ground was not true. Firstly, the means of the Nudol missile defense system, even in the polygon version, are not deployed at the Saryshagan training ground. Secondly, even the developer of such a cipher as the A-235 does not use it.

Interview with general designer of the Concern of the East-Kazakhstan region Almaz-Antey Pavel Sozinov.
Characteristics of the C-500 will be significantly higher THAAD
Characteristics of the C-500 will be significantly higher THAAD
- What can be said about the prospective anti-aircraft missile system S-500? What are the terms?
- The S-500 anti-aircraft missile system is not just a repetition of the systems of previous generations in another technical and technological edition. The S-500 missile system is classified as a 5th generation system, and it will also solve the missile defense problem. We are striving to substantially exceed by many characteristics those achievements that are realized by Americans in the mobile anti-missile complex THAAD. Another task of the "five hundred" is to further increase the capabilities in the field of air defense. In comparison with the S-400, the new system will be completely different in a constructive and technical way, will have new location and computing facilities, and new anti-aircraft guided missiles.
Another important point - and this is the world trend - the basic operating modes in the S-500 SAM will be automatic.
That is, the intervention of the human operator in the course of combat operations is assumed, but the basic mode of all C-500 facilities separately, and the system as a whole, is automatic. Only in this case it is possible to achieve the desired result in repulsing the impact of modern means of aerospace attack, especially under conditions of massive raids and in difficult conditions of the interference situation.
Technological support is no less important. The S-500 is a large scientific and production-technological program, and not just the design of a system of ready-made elements. It is clear that to achieve unique in the class of mobile air defense / missile defense capabilities, an advanced technological platform is needed. We have it.
- How are the S-500 tests going?
- The process does not do without objective difficulties: most of the tests of the previous generation systems in this class were conducted using polygons now located in the territories of neighboring states, and the inconvenience that arose in this case has not disappeared even today.

Interesting that it suggests it will detect and track and attack air targets without the use of radar.
It must therefore use EO systems for that purpose, though I suspect it should be possible to tie it into the local air defence network to cue it for incoming threats and targets.
Having no organic radar would make it much cheaper and offer the potential to mimic its performance with other platforms like IFVs also armed with 57mm guns and no radar....

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US warplanes operating in eastern Syria were multiple times in crosshairs of a Russian S-300V4 air defense system, Armed Forces Air Defense Troops commander Alexander Leonov has said.
"As part of its military operations, US Air Force strategic reconnaissance planes and bombers were multiple times detected and automatically followed," Lt. Gen. Leonov told Russia’s Izvestiya newspaper in a piece published Thursday.
The general said the surface-to-air system was deployed to Syria in October 2016 year to "expand control over the eastern Syrian airspace, prevent enemy airstrikes at the Hmeymim airfield and the Tartus logistics base."

He said US planes reacted "nervously" to being tracked by Russia’s air defense unit from the distance of 200 to 300 kilometers (124 to 186 miles). The system and its personnel were withdrawn to their permanent deployment site in June this year.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that a US F-22 fighter prevented the Russian pair of Su-25 attack aircraft from carrying out a combat mission to destroy the Daesh stronghold over Syria's Euphates River. The ministry's representative noted however, that after the appearance of a Russian Su-35S fighter, the F-22 stopped dangerous maneuvers and left for Iraqi airspace.

Russia Says Its S-300 Missiles Tracked "Nervous" U.S. Pilots Over Syria

Security,
Countdown to war?
Russia Says Its S-300 Missiles Tracked "Nervous" U.S. Pilots Over Syria
Moscow says that U.S. bombers and reconnaissance aircraft "reacted nervously" when tracked by Russian anti-aircraft missile batteries over Syria.
U.S. pilots allegedly got the shakes when Russia's advanced S-300V4 air defense systems tracked them at ranges of 200 to 300 kilometers (125 to 186 miles), Lt. Gen. Alexander Leonov, chief of Russia's air defense forces, told Izvestia (Google translation here). The aircraft types were not specified, though the United States has flown multiple models over Syria, including the F-22, F-15, F-18 and drones.
Leonov said the S-300V4 was deployed to Syria in 2016 to expand control of the airspace over eastern Syria, as well as to prevent enemy attacks on the Khmeimim airfield and the supply base at the port of Tartus. Leonov did not specify which enemies the missile batteries were supposed to defend against: the Syrian rebels lack aircraft, while U.S. and Israeli planes operate over Syria.

Leonov's comments came after the New York Times reported last month that U.S. F-22s had almost engaged Russian Su-24 strike aircraft attacking American-supported rebels in Syria. Interestingly, Russian media also suggested then that American pilots were chicken: the F-22s allegedly turned tail and fled into Iraqi airspace after being confronted by a "multifunctional super-maneuverable Su-35S fighter," Russia's Defense Ministry claimed.
Leonov also touted improvements in Russian air defense. "Since 2014, the latest modification of the S-300V4 long-range antiaircraft missile system, the most long-range in its class, has come into service," he told TASS. The upgraded S-300V4 missiles are more lethal against aircraft and ballistic missiles.
Russia has also improved the Buk medium-range SAM system, including upgraded radar for the Buk-M2 model with better detection capabilities for aircraft and cruise missiles flying at extremely low level, said Leonov. Since 2016, the Russian military has been receiving the latest version of the Buk-MZ. "Due to their multifunctional radar station with a phased array antenna and new missiles, the Buk-MZ systems are two to three times superior to the capabilities of the previous SAM systems of this class," Leonov added. "One self-propelled unit can fire on up to six targets."
Leonov described several ongoing development projects for air defense. The Arctic version of the Tor-M2, mounted on cross-country tractors, will be fielded next year. A replacement is being developed for the venerable ZSU-23-4 Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft gun—reportedly a 57mm weapon—which Leonov said will be more survivable than the Shilka because it uses passive rather than active sensors.
For man-portable anti-aircraft missiles, Russia is developing a command and control vehicle for the commanders of air defense platoons. In addition, an air defense training complex will use remote-controlled targets to simulate jets, cruise missile, tactical UAVs and hovering attack helicopters.

Regarding 12th:
The (Ukraine) "PS times" are long gone.
Shortly after the Russian's took over the Crimea they established the 12th at the Gwardiskoje AB 45.115993° 33.980325° with two units of S-300 PM (5P85T1)!
Then the Regiment occupied their "new" positions at
Sevastopol 44.544193° 33.432996° (this is the site where the recent pictures of the S-400 deployment were made in early January 2018 - BTW: note the single Pantsir-S in the background!)
and
Belbek 44.706228° 33.598271°.
According to my knowledge this site will receive their S-400 (5P85S2) in February 2018, in order to complete the "regimental set" for the 12th.

Well, Kaliningrad and Crimea would be Russia's two main hotbeds for NATO to attempt something stupid. Best to really reinforce them so it can hold off for longer and cause severe damage to NATO till mainland forces can group and move.

GarryB, have the 77N6-N and 77N6-N1 missiles that are supposed to provide the S-400 with exo atmospheric interception capability cleared all the tests ? IIRC, these two missiles were still being tested & are yet to be deployed.

these images clearly show that Russia withdraw not - as reported - (the never deployed) S-300V but (one of two batteries) S-400 via Tartus harbor
