Nasir Hec Mansur, commander of a unit of the Syrian Democratic Forces told Sputnik Turkey in an interview that the US-led coalition forces will use the recently liberated Tabqa military base during the operation in Raqqa.
The Syrian Democratic Forces in the course of fierce clashes with Daesh managed to take back control of the strategically important Tabqa military base situated near Raqqa.
In an interview with Sputnik Turkey Mansur said, “The military base in Tabqa is of great importance to us. The planes of the coalition forces will take off from there during the operation for the liberation of Raqqa.” He further said that the military base in Tabqa is important because of its geographical location, as it is situated west of the Euphrates River. “At present, our forces have surrounded the city of Tabqa and we expect to take it under our control in the near future,” Mansur said.
With the capture of Tabqa, the number of military bases at the disposal of the Syrian forces has increased to two. Last year, the forces established control over the Minig air base, south of Aazaz.
Earlier, it was reported that the US-led coalition conducted 30 strikes consisting of 72 engagements against Daesh in Syria and Iraq on Monday, including five strikes near Tabqa, Operation Inherent Resolve said in a press release. Furthermore it was reported that the ongoing operations to isolate Raqqa are proceeding satisfactorily and are gaining momentum, a senior Department of State official announced Monday.
"Things are moving toward Raqqa," the official said. The isolation phase is proceeding very well, and in fact, accelerating," the official stated.
Following the isolation of the city, the battle for its liberation will begin. At present, Daesh controls vast territories of Syria's Raqqa province, including the regional capital itself.

This is anti-Kurd propaganda. In the maps the military installations are marked. Easy to see 8 military installations in the Eastern sector of the territory controled by the Kurds in Syria, and one more in the Western sector.
What happened until now? nothing.

You never know what you are going to find next on Twitter! How about the location of the big grain silos in Syria? I must say I am surprised at where they seem to be but at least not many are left for ISIS now.

Syrian Arab Army recaptured Al-Majdal, Al-Sheer, Khattab, Zawr al-Jadid and Zwar al-Hamid - Northern #Hama
Rebels completely captured ISIS pocket in Suwayda
Huge territory captured in a couple of days.
First they blocked IS east of Al Sein airport. And advanced in East Qalamoun mountains.
Pocket is fully captured, SAA didn't even move. there is some sort of a deal going on there.
clear map of the same area, they are close to linking

How are ISIS eliminated from an area like that? Where have they gone given no obvious escape route?

Before this "opposition advance1" they had open roads to go out, so they probably left.
There were some news in that time that IS is evacuating south Syria and going to Raqqa and DEZ.

Most of the ISIL pulled out after they failed in their attempt to take Al-Sein Airport. This area is either a mountain range on the left and desert on the right. These rebels have a long time ceasefire with the Government and have in the past received both air and artillery fire support from the Government when fighting either ISIL or AQ forces. They are the small minority moderate rebels that Obama liked to pretend were the norm.

Indeed. Daesh and Al Qaeda are both US (and pals) sock puppets. There is no way the US would
allow only a single rebel force of jihadis to do its imperial dirty work. It needs factions to exert control.
But since the whole adventure is n Syria is in a slow collapse, the factions are basically merging.
The jihadis have slightly different flavours of the same turd agenda. Only the Kurds can be considered
an independent rebel entity and it is not always dancing to Uncle Scumbag's tune.

In fact there is not difference between the blacks and the greens in the maps. The greens are also jihadis. Despite the propaganda.
The alone real difference is between the Turks (not Turkmen, paramilitary Turks from Turkey) and the Arabs (in line with Saudi Arabia, Qatar,...).
The game of labels in the Syrian opposition is truly fake. The Turkmen, a fake label for the Syrian Azeries, are not Turkmen, are not Syrian Azeries, they are paramilitary Turks from Turkey. And the "moderate Arab Syrians" are not moderate, are jihadis, are not from Syria, they are jihadi Arabs from almost all the Arab countries and Europe, and some even are not Arabs, they are jihadis from from central and south Asia.

If these are new settlements then that is clear squatting. They can be kicked out legally after the SAA secures most of the country.
I'd like the same collection of bloody hypocrites (USA, Canada, UK, etc) bleat about the "rights" of these clowns to Syrian territory
at the same time they demand that the Russians in Crimea surrender their rights and their lives to the Kiev regime.

At least ten airstrikes were observed around midnight as Russian jets targeted positions held by Ahrar Al-Sham and Jaish Al-Islam near the towns of Al-Kafeer and Babsqa.
Amid the Russian aerial bombardment, a weapons depot was blown to smithereens, causing significant destruction.

You could see this a mile away, SAA and Allies need to grab as much resources as possible. Russia, China, Iran an Syria should start using gold instead of dollar and it will greatly reduce US influence.

Based on readings thus far, authors have said that the gold standard to represent the value of currency has been replaced by levels of production, though the purchasing power and exchange rates are set by certain international banks.
Non-military, non linear, multidimensional etc, however we may describe the warfare of western supranational forces vs Asian and Eurasian forces deserves a thread of its own.Similar the Syrian War deserves its own thread that delves into strategy, operational art and tactics rather than just news and updates.
