TEHRAN, October 24. /TASS/. A top commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) who fulfilled his duty as a military adviser has been killed in clashes in central Syria, the Fars News Agency has reported.

Brigadier General Reza Khavari "was martyred in clashes with Takfiri terrorists in the Northern parts of the province of Hama, Central Syria, Thursday night." This brings the number of IRGC casualties in the war-torn country over the past several days to eight.

The eight casualties have been confirmed by IRGC Public Relations Chief General Ramezan Sharif.

    US policy coherence in action.

PKK are considered terrorists by the US...

PYD, PKK and PJAK are all allies, part of the KCK.

Their respective military wings (YPG, HPG, YRK) SHARE THE SAME LOGISTICS and to a certain extent, command structures.

THIS IS FUCKING PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE EVEN WIKIPEDIA IS UP TO DATE ON.

Let's give them tons and tons of ammo I'm sure none of that is gonna be used against Turkey...

Well I hope it is used against Turkey, 360 from ISIS etc.

Not exactly a reliable source....I think we'll know about it pretty quickly if they do deploy them there

Looks far to accurate to be a helicopter. That looks like S-8 rocket engagement and the grouping is just on a sniping level. If that was carried out by air it was most probably Su-25.
Very accurate, Would I be correct in assuming the fire came from the side of the video and the camera was probably on a drone?

Interesting, AFAIK probably first time Su-25 filmed in CAS mode, change in tactics?

It is possible that RuAF knows for a fact that rebels do not have any AA capability despite all MANPADS noise so they act accordingly.

Either that or aircraft are equipped with some powerful countermeasures...

It is very worrisome that the SAA and it's allies don't have a bigger presence in eastern Syria, Al Raqqa is pounded from the sky and a ground offensive should be going on.

Another Iranian General, 7 Other IRGC Members Killed in Syria

Brigadier General Reza Khavari, the senior commander of IRGC's Fatemiyoun Division, was martyred in clashes with terrorists in the Northern parts of the province of Hama, Central Syria, Thursday night while fulfilling his duty as a military adviser.

A sum of 7 other IRGC members, mostly from Ansar Corps, have been martyred in Syria in the last two days. Amin Karimi, a member of the IRGC's Ansar Corps, has also been named among those killed in the last couple of days, although his military rank is not known.

IRGC Public Relations Chief General Ramezan Sharif told FNA on Friday evening that the IRGC has boosted the number of its advisors in Syria in recent days following government troops' striking victories in multiple fronts across the nation.

Ramezan Sharif confirmed the 8 casualties sustained by the IRGC in Syria in the last several days.

Asked why the IRGC casualties in Syria are mostly ranking officers, he said Iran does not have combat troops in Syria and has only sent advisors to help syria, who provide counseling services and strategies to the Syrian army commanders in the battlefield and from a very close range to the forefront. He reminded that low-ranking officers are not fit for such a vital job.

Earlier today it was revealed that the bodyguard of Iran's former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been one of the latest IRGC casualties in in Syria.

Abdollah Baqeri Niyaraki was martyred while fulfilling his duty as military advisor in Syria's Northern province of Aleppo.

Baqeri Niyaraki was an IRGC commander who served as a bodyguard of former President Ahmadinejad for some time. Niyaraki was a member of IRGC's Ansar Corps.

His martyrdom came after three other IRGC war veteran commanders were killed during attacks by the ISIL terrorists in Syria.

On October 13, two IRGC commanders, providing military counseling services to the Syrian forces in their fight against the terrorists, were killed in Southern Syria.

Colonel Farshad Hasounizadeh, the former commander of IRGC's Saberin Special Brigade, was martyred while fulfilling his duty as military adviser in Syria and fighting the terrorists in syria.

Also, the former commander of IRGC Hazrat Hojjat 1 Brigade Hajj Hamid Mokhtar-band , was killed in Syria.

Both Hasounizadeh and Mokhtar-band were IRGC war veterans and were martyred in Southern Syria. According to Iran's military rules, those missed or killed in operation are promoted to a higher rank and that's why in a few Persian-language sources, Colonel Hasounizadeh has been referred to as a General.

A few days earlier, a top IRGC commander Brigadier General Hossein Hamadani was martyred during an attack by the ISIL terrorists in the outskirts of the city of Aleppo.

General Hamadani was in Syria to render military advice to the Syrian army and popular forces in their fight against the ISIL terrorists in the Arab country.

In September 2014, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Gholam Ali Rashid announced that Iran's military advisors are present in the friendly regional states to provide those nations with necessary military recommendations.

Why? The SAA withdrew or was beaten out of it. The SAA will move back east when it has secured the west.

Your country was very, very foolish for believing in the Kremlin. Now your paying for it. They are having regular contacts with the israelis and Mossad, it wouldn't surprise me that the russian-israeli cooperation is guilty of all those high ranking iranian deaths in that short period of time.

Bullshit, it's obvious that Syrian intelligence got some serious leaks, and considering the unusual coordination of these assassinations, we're dealing with either Mossad assassins or Saudi assassins cooperating with Mossad.

The dead Nusra commander is Abu Suleiman al Masri, an Egyptian fighter who had previously fought for Hamas in Palestine and called for Jihad in Egypy. Under Sisi he was sentenced to death in absentia.

Holy hell, what kinda trench is this??

I belive one on pic is unfinished, it was probably supposed to be covered above to provide shade with metal sheets and then even abit so trucks/vehicles cant enter, and still soldiers can hide under vehicles in smaller trench, probably built with idea to provide cover/hideout from air strikes.

However this is abit of an overkill to counter tunneling mines.
