The link states only 18 MRLS's, the 486 represents the reusable modules holding the rockets.

Poland expects to build most of the vehicles used for the launchers by itself.

It is basically importing the launcher modules from the US.

Not content to max out its credit cards buying shit they can't afford, Poland is also more than happy to waste said funds on increasingly obsolescent weapons that their main opfor has had ample opportunity to adapt to.

Also the US can't supply the ammo for the few dozen HIMARS systems Ukraine has. What makes them think they, with a meager military industrial base can manage to supply nearly 500 launchers?

Add the South korean launchers they orderd as well.
