The spy fiasco in the Czeck Republic seems to be last drop in Putin´s cup of patience.
This is an unprovoked attack on Russia, they have already said it was an accident and more recently they admitted it again.
To blow up a warehouse in a foreign country and kill 2 of its citizens just so you prevent a weapon deal between 3rd parties...damn this is bordering a formal war declaration.
They are not accusing them of that though.... they admit the explosion was accidental and it wasn't the Russians.

Raises a good point... the EU banned Russian ships from docking in EU ports when Russia was sending support to Assads government fighting EU supported terrorists. The munitions in question were going to be sent to the Ukraine to be used on Ukrainian civilians.... sounds like fair game to me... Israel does that all the time and their proof is rarely very strong.
I am inclined to believe the thesis someone did these "fires" to erase the evidence of disappearance of ammunition from the depots.

So you are saying multiple arms depots blew up in the Czech republic and the media said nothing for 7 years.... talk about free and open media... but you say they might have known and were protecting Russia but now big bad creepy joe is telling his attack dogs to attack... the Czech media is ignoring the story are they?
So is it possible the GRU was not invovled in stopping weapon sales to the Ucraine regime? Doubt it very much. This is very much why they exist after all.

Russia is under sanction for supplying parts of the ukraine with weapons and supporting rebels, the west openly supplies Kiev a coup imposed government that eliminated all opposition and is currently shelling its own people... sounds like a cheque they can't cash... perhaps closing embassies is the solution if they want to play such juvenile games.
How about weapons and equipment found in Syria prove the west has been supporting ISIS and Al Quada, perhaps Russia should start treating the US and the EU like the terrorist supporters they are...
In my view they just did a poor job, leaving too many traces that are now actively been used by the enemy to destroy Russia's relations with the west
Took seven years for the accusations to surface and they didn't even stick to those accusations, I would say mission well done if they did it...
Of course you can't ignore the obvious incompetence too... but sabotage is easy.... intel agencies have all sorts of very long time fuses... you could get a four day fuse and open a box of explosives and put it inside and then position the box so that it will be in the middle of the pile when it is stacked for storage...
The equivalent of the western OSS making fake coal with a HE core so when thrown into a furnace it explodes... destroying the train engine.
And this is the reasons I expect a few "changes" are to be made in GRU.
Promotions at the very least... likely a lot of Ukrainians are still alive because that ammo didn't make it to the ORCs.
The whole point of a secret operation is that it will remain secret the whole time.

Once it has achieved its objectives then being revealed can't make it a failure.
Else just fire a Kalibr at the depot and be done with it.
