What privileges does one have with "russian citizenship"?

The passport is pretty much worthless, since it has almost no visa free travel anywhere.

What are you even talking about?
117 countries, pretty much all of south america and Asia.
In combination with a western passport you basically get the whole world visa free. It's fucking awesome. And a bunch of countries are easier to get into than with a western passport.
I'm a big history fan and both Turkey and Iran are much easier to get access to with my Russian passport than my Canadian one.
