Iraq Army Cleans Out Pockets of Islamist Insurgency North of Ramadi

Iraqi police and armed forces have eliminated two pockets of Islamist resistance north of Ramadi in the western Anbar province, an operations commander said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Maj. Gen. Ismail Mahlawi, in charge of Anbar operations, told the local Alsumaria television that Iraqi security forces and anti-terror units killed many Daesh fighters with international air support.

Iraqi troops launched a large-scale offensive against Daesh militants last summer. In December 2015, they drove Islamists out of the Anbar provincial capital Ramadi, in preparation for the operation to recapture Daesh stronghold Fallujah.

Daesh is a designated terrorist group that is outlawed in the United States, Russia and numerous other countries worldwide.

actually there's more, including a the B side of that door. There's black lettering on a white livery. Given the way the door looks, maybe a C21 or C12?

There's no while livery for Mil-Mis in Iraq and Mil-Mis have a sliding door, this is a trap door (locking mechanism on the bottom).

Closest thing to that is the emergency door on Mil Mi14. However, Iraq hasn't any Mil 14 left.

Iraqi Air Force Kills 19 Daesh Commanders in Mosul

The Iraqi Air Force on Saturday killed 19 commanders of the Daesh terrorist group in the northern country's city of Mosul, the Iraqi Army’s information bureau said in a statement obtained by Sputnik.

CAIRO (Sputnik) — Mosul, the second largest city in Iraq and with a population of 500,000 people, has been controlled by Daesh for two years. Iraqi forces backed by Kurdish Peshmerga militia are currently preparing an assault on Mosul.

"Air Force fighter jets carried airstrikes against the [Daesh] group's headquarters in Mosul's al-Misaq quarter, when there were high-ranking commanders of the group. As a result of a successful airstrike all the militants in the number of 19 in the headquarters were killed," the statement said.

The Middle Eastern countries, notably Syria and Iraq, are struggling with jihadists, such as the Daesh outlawed in Russia and the United States among others.
