SAA has lost all the villages they captured since the start of their offensive.

Russia basically threw SAA as lambs to the slaughter to please Erdogan so Erdogan buy S-400 (or not? we'll see). Erdogan supplied hundreds of Russian made Kornet missiles to the evil people and slaughtered SAA in Kafr Nabudah. I wonder who Putin will be able to sleep at night.

That's pretty standard, the SAA has always done this assault, retreat, then assault again strategy, look at Palmyra

Turkey already paid for S-400. If they say no they won't see that money back and russia won't give it to a nato country. Double win for Russia.

Any sources for that? Because the "rebel" tweeps are screeching about taking Kafr Nabudah after heavy fighting. Thats one town. Others like Qalat al Madiq were also captured by the SAA in this offensive and still in SAA hands.

Oh FFS, this Turkey, U.S spat over the S-400 is just the Good cop Bad cop routine, once they have the S-400 it'll be shipped to the States in a heart beat as some show of Turkeys goodwill or something.

Eh I am sure Russia accounted for that and made sure if they do, they would get nothing out of it.

The bigger issue for Russia is joint training between the USAF and The Turks will give the Airforce data on how to deal with the systems.

Even if Ero never handed the system over or kept it away from US eyes, the guy who replaces him may not.

It really was a dumb decision to sell Turkey the S-400 from a military standpoint, one I question to this day.

Russia would of course return most of the money already paid if Turkey decides to change its mind... though I rather suspect there will be penalties for withdrawing from the contract this late in the game that would be rather substantial...

They sold the SA-12 system to them in the 1990s and they also sold the British a 2S6M system too.

It is not like they wont be able to get information on such systems anyway... the Ukraine and Cyprus and Slovakia have S-300 models that they will likely share information on for the right price or just to annoy the Russians.

Turkey already has its own competences in terms of military hardware... they can sell out the Russians for a few pieces of silver and cut off future potential for joint development of their own 5th gen fighter together with Russia and quite a few other programmes they could contribute more than just money towards... but after this do you think the US will let them join development programmes creating anything other than trash like the money vacuum that the F-35 is?

Equally stupid was Russia selling Kornet missiles to Turkey, which Turkey now uses in large numbers to kill Russians in Syria.

Precisely which Russians have been killed with Kornets in Syria... I would be very interested to see the details...

US attacking Turkey is more likely to happen than US attacking Russia. I doubt they would share information on such system bought specially to keep US far away. The guy after Erdogan can wish anything he wants but military generals are not stupid to share information to US that easy.

First of all, s-400 is not that important for russia as its answer to Nato would be nuks before nato even sends its bombers. Its radars are good to monitor nato and China and other borders but at the end of the day what makes you win a war are not defencive weapons but cruise missiles, bombs, sukhois ...

Second, there is s-400 and there is s-400 in IADS. Two different things. And even if they analyze it that doesn't mean they will go through more easily. That system is a beast.

Finally, russians know very well the system so if they cleared its selling that means it is ok for them to let nato analyze it. It's still an export version. And if turkey breaks the rules, they can stop supplying spare parts and missiles and make it a 2 billion $ useless weapon. Syrians are complaining about spare parts of pantsirs, what do you think its gonna be with a s-400.

    Back to topic.

It's dangerous to keep the two subs so close. With those drone attacks they can lose both of them if one burns.

It was mainly Jaysh Izza that took Kafr Nabudah. Jaysh Izza was supplied hundreds of Kornet missiles Turkey bought from Russia (maybe reverse engineered?) and Panthera F9. If it wasn't Jaysh Izza Kafr Nabudah would not have fallen. Now let's see if SAA can keep Qaalat al Mudiq, the other big town SAA took. It's a shame Russia ordered SAA to stop offensive or else Kafr Nabudah would have never fallen and evil people would have never had the footing to mount a counter attack.

Turkey ain't no friend of Russia. Turkey is biggest Islamo Fascist nation on the planet, hated by every other Arab country except Qatar which is also Islamo Fascist. Every weapon Russia sells to Turkey, be it Kornet or S-400, end up killing Russians, be it in Ukraine or Chechnya or Syria, which Turkey supplies weapons to kill Russians. If I were Putin I bulldoze Idlib, Erdogan be damned.

It just show that Russia airforce alone deployed in Syria ,don't have the capability to crush an invading massive army.. This time it was 700 terrorist.. if it was 700 terrorist x 5 in 5 different regions assault ,it will have been much worse.. for Russia and Syria.  In any case.. This needs to be done ,the more terrorist killed the better.. apparently the terrorist lost a couple of hundred of jihadist in the fight.. and Syrian army only 50 soldiers.. so is like 4 to 1 , in favor of Syrian army.. is not so bad..  What is worrying is US troops massive deployment in the border between IRAQ and Syria.. they might be trying to take advantage of SYrian army fighting in Hama , do to a massive offensive
in the east using thousands of military forces..to block Syria from having any road communication with IRAQ .

In the long run ,Russia should have the upper hand , with its complete control of the air space , over Hama and IDLIB.. and the terrorist will be losing way more military in the fight.

It's a shame Russia ordered SAA to stop offensive and cut off all military support to SAA. All that to appease Erdogan that bastard who loves to kill Russians. If it wasn't for Erdogan Idlib would have been much easier than East Ghouta due to sparsely populated open ground. No large population centers.

All units? you do realize the entire Idlib force they have is like 30k-40k Plus strong. You do remember when they made all those deals to evacuate the rebels where they sent them right?.

Barely have any strength left? they have a massive amount left to spare and that's not counting the FSA and the turks.

If you think Idlib is going to be a cakewalk keep dreaming, they have not been one push since the SAA got forced back.

Frankly, unless Russia goes all out with aid the SAA cannot take Idlib.

Idlib is empty land. How many people do you think can live there no water no food no oil no electricity? Don't let that 3 million propaganda fool you. It's not even 100,000. Think medieval days. 30,000 soldiers? 40,000 soldiers? What a load of BS. It's no more than a few thousand at best. Russia can take Idlib within a month like how Turkey took Afrin within a month. Tough soldiers? What a load of crock.
