    You won the bet.
But at the time the risks, given SAA's track record were high. They are fixing their record it seems.

KoTeMoRe wrote:It's the same deal with the Syrian militias. they're slowpokes and they need a gentle push. Just stop thinking these guys will move on like terminators from now on. It's a slow process, but they're winning.

Nobody here thinks in terms of terminators and transformers (I hope). But better defence and cautious offense (Tabqa offensive) is still something SAA is making its very early baby steps. One would hope that within next year SAA & co will look and act much better than now.

I don't think they're fixing anything, many flaws are there, look at calm's footage from Liwa Al Quds. There's a lot of basic faults, at some point they cross into open ground towards wall, no smoke or visual cover, use same firehole on wall while being 4/5, take casualties, there's no indirect fire support most of the time, way too many light infantry pushes. That will cause breakdowns because lack of firepower and cohesion.

We can analyze most of these issues and come to basic conclusion. Syria needs mass pacification and a rear-country without security headaches to prepare NCO/JCO group that will be able to work out a basic strategy with all the groups that are involved in this mess.

^yeah we're all taking a bow to your superiour foresight...no sarcasm here. Good day for SAA and allies with gains in North Aleppo, stopping and partial reverse the offensive in W-aleppo and that fresh clusterfuck in Daraa. Oh and Al-Kurdi in East Ghouta.

Now excuse me I need to enjoy dead bodies in Ghouta. On the rocks. Aleppa Nash.

Also calm, that Anna footage is gold mine. Some really sad moments, with a couple of casualties caught on tape. ANNA still the best. Does anyone know if Marat will be back or has he been wounded in action to make a come back?

Oui I knew that would happen.

Like I told you, their offensive failed in aleppo.

It was clear when they purposely gave up pointless ground and when I said you cannot really airstrike that terrain what the SAA was doing.

Said over two days ago the rats lost that battle already.

I do that kind of stuff for a living, so I know how to read a battle. Been right about every battle thus far, cause I lived it.

Why didn't they send BMP-T with it ? It was design to protect tanks in urban warfare.

Their TOW can't even go out of the lunch tubes because of shtora ^^

Serious lack of news today out of Aleppo, even the Rebels have put a media blackout on their supports.

Russian Army never adopted the BMPT, only the Kazakhstan military purchased a few.

I know but they still propose it to export and advertise it in any official video. They could add them the "combat tested" mark and see how the missiles work in real engagement.

How do you guys tell that it's working from the video? Isn't it supposed to be launching smoke grenades if the tank is targeted?

Syrian minister for reconciliation, ticked off the names of four Damascus suburbs formerly held by rebels, who used them to regularly lob mortar shells and rockets into government-held areas. “They’ve all reconciled,” he said.

By that, he meant that the rebels had accepted an amnesty in return for laying down their arms and reintegrating into government institutions.

“The aim was to stop these areas from being a battlefield, and for them to become islands of peace and stability. It’s a major difference between today and two months ago,” he said.

Critics insist that “reconciliation” is a continuation of “surrender or starve” tactics, and that those who reconcile continue to be pursued by the government.

LA TImes, some real "humanitarians". If they care so much about rebels, then where is all the sympathy for the Donbas? None to find in this rag that
called Yeltsin "a palpable humanitarian". "Rebels" shelling government held populated areas is OK in Syria and government shelling of rebel held populated
areas in Ukraine is OK also. The NATO mass media, keeping those norms of humanity straight since before the west existed.

    Egyptian soldiers arrive in Syria:
    https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/egyptian-soldiers-arrive-syria-reports/
DAMASCUS, SYRIA (10:40 A.M.) - A group of officers from the Egyptian Army traveled to the Syrian port-city of Tartous on Tuesday to train with Russia's military advisors near the Islamic State's front-lines.

According to several reports from local activists, the Egyptian officers were accompanied by Russian military personnel upon their arrival to Tartous on Tuesday.

The Egyptian, Russian and Syrian militaries have not confirmed these reports; however, if true, it could be an important step towards reconciliation.
