This is quite interesting as I have always been convinced that the Russians definitely have for long deployed general-purpose infantry guided missiles (GPIGM) for general-purpose roles on the battlefield.

    These missiles would

1- be lighter than the lightest ATGMs,
2- have a smaller multipurpose warhead,
3- have a range at least slightly better than sniper rifles, and
    4- be relatively fast.

Orr what about something like this. USN Spike, basically can be integrated in any platform you wish.

"Spike" doesn't meet the 3rd and the 4th requirements. Especially, its "real", "potential" performance figures, as opposed to the "published" figures, will fall substantially short of the 3rd and the 4th requirements. Its "potential" speed would be well below Mach 0.5 and its "potential" range below 500 m.

The missiles I was referring to would have a real range of around 2 km and would be supersonic, possibly close to Mach 2.

    Syrian Civil War: News #6 - Page 29 Spike10

Well according to declassified files its supposed to have range of around 2 miles. Warhead truly is light but thats what we want here, right. And when its about speed... 240ish m/s, its not that bad, Kornet-M has speed abit under 300m/s.

I had seen the "published figures", but they wouldn't be correct.

The warhead mass would be fine though.

Taking into account dynamics of SAA progress Putin/Obama talks would look like:
Putin: Barrack and now say S-400, S-400 Razz

Kerry: Obama and Putin in the near future to discuss the agreement on Syria

Now I am quite sure that Erdogan wants to follow the footsteps of Ngô Đình Diệm

    https://www.rt.com/news/333179-erdogan-terror-operations-syria/

Turkey has the right to carry out military operations not only in Syria, but in any other country, which is hosting terror groups that threaten the Turkish state, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

“Turkey has every right to conduct operations in Syria and the places where terror organizations are nested with regards to the struggle against the threats that Turkey faces,” Erdogan was cited as saying by the Hurriyet newspaper.

Ankara’s stance has “absolutely nothing to do with the sovereignty rights of the states that can’t take control of their territorial integrity,” the president insisted.

“On the contrary, this has to do with the will Turkey shows to protect its sovereignty rights,” he added.

Assad warned Turkey and Saudi Arabia from invasion to Syria

The Syrian President warned that the country will respond to a military invasion. He added that Damascus would be considered terrorists by foreign troops who illegally penetrate into Syria.

Interesting I presume this was agreed with Putin before. and cessation of hostilities do not take into account terrorists?

Turkey is unable to control their Kurdistan territories so time to help them to get rid fo those. But seriously not good war for Russian economy but if must be must be. US is clearly pushing for war to make so callec " crash 2016" depression and fema camps looking like because of Putin and not Wall Street banksters.

It's a 880/kph 2.5 kg missile. With a pound of payload and a 2.5/3 pound booster. It's a scaled down version of the Javelin, with an RPG sized warhead. I'll belive it when they can FF the Spike under any circumstance. As said before I don't get the EFP logic. Half the targets this system should kill aren't affected by EFP's decisively. Using a HE-Frag warhead is bound to increase the size and weight of the missile.

The al Queda terrorists bused to Azaz by the Turks. I think this video was put up on Youtube but then taken down. Not good publicity for Turkey to be seen supporting Queda.

    Assad making the point again

The Syrian authorities announced an amnesty for those members of the opposition groups who lay down their arms and participate in the political process, Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais. According to him, the country's authorities will continue to treat all armed groups as terrorists, as long "as they do not declare that they are ready to enter the political process."

"[If the members of these groups lay down their arms] we will announce amnesty, and it happened over the past two years and more and more lately. Many of them laid down their arms. Some joined the ranks of the Syrian army."

He pointed out that "from the point of view of the law and the constitution, all those who turn their guns on people and the government — the terrorists — in their own country, in our country or any other country in the world."

"We can not say that these people are under the law. They can be recognized as part of it if they lay down their arms and join the political process. This is the only opportunity in any country to recover, or to change the law, constitution or government. This can be done through a political process, not through weapons, "- the Syrian president said.

    This will make you smile

While a growing number of countries around the world are actively looking to ditch the dollar for mutual trade, due to its precarious financial condition one very unexpected group is now insisting on dollar only payments, according to a report by AP.

The jihadist militant group seems to be experiencing grave financial difficulties: it is having trouble meeting its expenses due to Russian airstrikes ruining its oil infrastructure and low oil prices, forcing the group to cut salaries in half and start accepting only US dollars for payments, according to AP report. The long-cherished dream of Daesh to have its own gold, silver and copper-backed currency seems to be forgotten thing of the past. The Islamist group is apparently suffering from a shortage of cash, the agency reports citing some residents escaping from Raqqa, the group’s stronghold in Syria.

It has reportedly cut salaries by half across its self-declared caliphate and has urged the residents of Raqqa to pay for "taxes" and utility fees, such as water and electricity, in black-market American dollars. Reports also suggest that the militants are now releasing detainees for a cut-rate price of $500 each.

There are shortages of necessities, electricity is rationed and prices for basic commodities are spiraling out of reach.

The cause of this state of affairs are the overwhelmingly successful airstrikes undertaken by Russian forces, and the ground operations of the Syrian government troops which have considerably damaged its oil infrastructure. Combined with the dramatic drop in global prices for oil, once a key source of income, the Daesh financial system now appears to be on its last legs.

Interestingly enough, not long ago the group claimed that it would soon start minting its own currency, the golden dinar, as a means of exchange, in an effort to solidify control over areas where it had proclaimed a “caliphate.” The prototype design was also inscribed with a message in Arabic reading “The Islamic State — A caliphate based on the doctrine of the Prophet.”

Thankfully the dream now seems to be forgotten.

    And this won't

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Islamic State (ISIL or Daesh) jihadist group said it was behind the multiple suicide blasts and a car bomb attack in the southern Damascus district home to a Shiite shrine, Lebanese media reported Sunday.

Daesh claimed responsibility for the attacks in Sayyidah Zaynab, Al Mayadeen broadcaster said without citing sources.

An unnamed source in the Syrian government militia told RIA Novosti earlier that the death toll neared 70 in the three suicide attacks and one car bomb explosion.

Sorry, don't understand the point you are trying to make.

This came from Assad's interview with a French program today. It is at least the second if not the third time I have posted on the subject. It seems to be a very successful project.
