There's no "SDF"; It's the Kurds with some Arab front. The Kurds in that force are about 25K, the arabs so far can't have 8 thousand tops in the ground. Also most of them are Shia. Also to attack Raqqah, they need to get Al tabqah and also clear DEZ complitely. That's not going to happen soon and it would need stretching the forces way too long. Basically anything that the SAA/Iran can bring will be isolated in DEZ. So yeah the best chance is having teh Kurds push on the North, taking some places, some casualties and painstakingly propping up a decent 10/15K force in DEZ. Then attacking backwards toward Palmyra and then quickly going for road N°6 while the Eastern Aleppo troops come forward from Road N°4 to Dayir Ahfir and Maskanah. That would give an Idea about how things can shape up. However, the problem is that the Rastan area needs to get cleared. And there's nothing going on there, unless Iran and Russia bring boots in the ground. Real boots. And more Aircraft.

There's time to do what ever it takes to avenge the fallen. Best bet for a complete fuck up is using the Kurds as a proxy and shooting down F16's "in self-defence". That'd be good.

REpost; and I'll say it again, the tankers seem to be on the move almost every moment, you can see the signs of heavy use in the was the termal sleeve is peeling and skirts and mud guards indicate mucho movimento.

Also this fighting group seems very large. At least 500 people this is becoming an exception in Syria.

Any idea how many T-90s are now in SAA or have been transferred, if at all?
Or is it the Russians operating them?

Probably not more than 7-8, but i dont think they are being operated by Syrians, most likely either Russian soldiers or Russian mercenaries.

More than likely in my opinion. I have not seen any other proof of additional T90s coming to Syria.

Voting is a joke since people herd around "main parties" that are all there to service the elites. In any country few people take a chance
and vote for total unknowns. I am one of those people on occasion. But sometimes you want to remove an incumbent POS by voting
for other POS-light options. By now people should realize that "democracy" is basically a myth. The elites can stay entrenched just like
in any dictatorship since the voters will not aggressively vote for elements that want to remove them. The masses need little to be
pacified as the current information environment (MSM propaganda) and relative standard of living demonstrate. Even the poor vote for
    mainstream parties.

    Nothing new here.

Here that's the maps for the next elections from pools.

    http://i-cms.linternaute.com/image_cms/original/10207192-_.jpg

The FN (nationalists) is sure to win two regions, and is a serious contender in at least 4 more (they tend to better than what they pool since the party have consigns to lie to pollers, and they keep rising)...
They will undoubtedly have the most votes overall (they already did in the last two).

Oh and the way they redid the region boundaries was also to avoid the FN winning several regions (see the old ones dashed).

Except now they may win half of them!

Figured things were going to head in this direction. No Western government can be trusted in this matter. The West wants to maintain pressure on Assad by any means, no mater how nefarious.

Democracy is not just a myth the "democracies" that we have today are among the worst dictatorships we have seen in history. While normal dictatorships and their apparatus have an experiation date due own missmanagement and short sightetness or faded illusion that the dictatorship is beneficial to the people, such dictatorships sooner or later fall always. The todays "democracies" are all based on one and the same aspect that humans have found out and developed into a technology since thousands of years.

The key to success is simple, if you want to rule do not sit on the throne, let a figurehead a puppet sit on the throne, give the stupid mass a face they can smash when policy runs into a deadend, then replace the smashed face with a fresh one and keep going with a new strategy to get your way.

That is what we have in the so called civilized democratic west. Elites own the entire country and all "leaders" which are replaced everytime people get fed up with the current politics. The thing is exactly like is said, all oppositions are controlled they are the Plan B and even C.

People get tired of democrat candidate they vote for a republican, which then becomes figurehead and works for the same elitarian people that control the politics, finances of country and military foreign policy.

The people get calmed, feeding now again the same garbage packed in more candy, fancy shitty words and keep on sucking that garbage untill the elites are pushing their preperations to actions, people get fed up again and they repeat the demise of a "president" via FOX News that tells the people he is weak, he is a communist, he is whatever it takes to make sure the dumb sheeple do not vote for him again to pave the way for the controlled opposition that has been trained and aligned with the elitist doctrine since decades which will be Hillary Clinton, that is inevitable.

The point here is rather then having a chance to actually get rid of dictatorship all people achieve is getting rid of their illusion of someone having the power. They never even have the chance to understand the simple mechanics behind it. People are black and white sheeple, that is the case for majority of people that will make them blind to everything even if you point it to them out it is impossible for them to imagine. Humanity is fucked up.

^Agree. It's a very clever system of oligarchic control, devised with an eye to history and refined with scientific methods. And it would be much harder today for someone to make any substantive alterations to the system from the inside, like FDR did in the US. FDR is still reviled as a class traitor among many elite circles, as he came from their own ranks. Today, a person like him would be identified and weeded out; he'd never get to the presidency. In the UK, take a look at Corbyn. There the deep state has has already put him on notice that he will never be allowed hold the reigns, such as they are, and "democracy" be damned.

    Anyhow, sorry for the OT.

Syrian Army Gains Upper Hand in Fight Against ISIL in Aleppo

The Syrian government forces have gained the upper hand in their fight against Islamic State (ISIL) terrorists in the eastern part of Aleppo province and have advanced near Deir Hafer region, FARS news agency reported.

    http://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20151129/1030957068/syrian-army-advances-raqqa.html

If Deir Hafer is captured by the Syrian Army’s elite special operation unit known as the Tiger Forces the Syrian troops will be in position to re-enter Raqqa province after being expelled by ISIL in August 2014.

Currently, the Tiger Forces are within 5 kilometers from the Western district of Deir Hafer, having left the militants in a vulnerable position with very little resources to counter the offensive, a military source told FARS News.

Earlier this month, ISIL lost the Kuweires military airport. Since then, the terrorists’ defenses have been falling apart all over the eastern part of Aleppo. This has opened the way for the Tiger Forces and their allies to advance to areas previously considered inaccessible.

The militants are also facing a threat at the strategic hilltop village of Tal al-Ahmar, which is another gateway to the Deir Hafer front.

Earlier today, sources said that the Syrian forces and local militia liberated more territories in the province of Aleppo from ISIL militants and retook control of Aqulah village and its surroundings.

The Syrian Army and its allies continued fighting against the terrorists in various parts of Aleppo and forced them to retreat from the village of Aqulah. Scores of militants were killed or wounded in the northern part of the village.

Now notice what happens at 2:20, 2:25 and 3:00...  First at 2:20 they cut video coz they hit the wall with the gun, then on 2:25 they actually smacked the wall with gun and turret than on 3:00 they are piercing their own track covers....with..coaxial gun... in 2-3 minutes they basically did short course on what not to do as a tank crew...

this somewhat looks like from Video game
    Arma 3 maybe.

    Almost got wasted @ 1:06

Actually, those militias would have fucked up the whole assault badly if they stood their ground. The moment the Tank goes over the berm, it's dead metal, it's stuck and has the floor completely exposed. I can't understand why they fled, when you compare whith how the Iranians stood their ground against WAVES of type 69's/T-72's. Then it engages in a rat race inside the hamlet, with enough resolve, the whole attack was dead on its tracks at the berm and we'd have some epic footage.

It's sad. FFS get some guys who know their shit.

Would be magic moment for RPG-7 to the belly maybe even smashing some more terrorists if the turret blows up.
