    Right you are Embarassed
Now that I look for it there are plenty of pics of 055 & 054 with the tailcone one.
055 has it on the lerx flaps too.
Couldn't find any identifiable as 051/052/053 with the tailcone sign.

I don't want to dig around, but supposedly the other prototypes had the full radar suite, just not all the stickers.

Not full no. L-band was planned to be fitted to -8, but it hasnt been fitted prior to that.

You missed one quite large mod zg18. Wink There is bunch of smaller ones too.

Don't know with 100% certainty - but probably. Not complete L-402 tho, T-50-8 is supposed to get L-band and a more complete L-402. T-50-9 *should* have complete package of all the avionics and equipment.

Yes, i was hinting to stinger, and yes the whole plane is covered in RAM.

May it is better to say the whole plane except the new engine cover?

I was kind of hoping for a new paint scheme.

It's not like the T-50's even match, they might as well be liberal with the prototype's colors.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to apply RAM to a part that has to be opened/removed on the prototypes for tests.

    RAM has been painted over.

Also, I think RAM is missing in some places, it's definitly not on the engine cowlings and some other places.

Now we wait for the Phase 2 prototypes, didn't some official say it would look similar but have some huge changes?

There was all this bitching in various fora about how the T-50 engines are cylindrical and not angular prisms. This was
supposedly some super major flaw in the design. But it would have been trivial to put angular panels in the same location
where the 056 has white tube sections compared to the 055. The detail that all the F-22 fanboys missed was that
any scatter from the bottom of the aircraft is dominated by the wings and other parts of the body and not the engine
sections. From the side the T-50 has a smaller cross section than the F-22 and the contribution of the cylindrical
engine enclosure is irrelevant. Scatter from the front and back of the T-50 from signals hitting the bottom at some shallow
angle are basically equivalent for cylindrical and angled panels; there is negligible backscatter.

Paint =/= RAM. They first coat RAM then paint it all. So RAM might as well be pink underneath the paint. RAM is medium gray in color.

Well, they had issue with fire suppression system on T-50-6-2 so they had to remove cowlings multiple times i bet and just in preparation to flights in general, that is why we see the rivets, otherwise they would be covered by paint/RAM. I dont have any way to prove this; but i bet the cowlings are RAM treated.

And 6-2 IS Phase 2. The designation is kinda of a give away. Wink

I am aware, however i somehow expected them to keep RAM layer visible on later prototypes to make it easier for maintenance. Or actual surface "colored" paint has part in preserving RAM paint underneath?

The pigmented top-coat certainly offers a certain protection to the RAM. Both materials should be designed to work as a sstem, though.

So it would encompass structural changes, new materials and/or what other?
And the new engines would be installed on what prototype?

No that this 2. That would the future phase 2. I sispect they would do more than just engines.

Yes. T-50-6, stopped in production and then reborn as T-50-5R was the last "Phase 1" frame. The difference between them is what you see externally + RAM + heavy reworked airframe (T-50's had major structural issues) + more composites. Now on the last one there are many questions for 6-2 in particular, but it is planned that eventually almost whole surface will be covered in composites on Phase 2.

IIRC it was planned that T-50-9 was supposed to get new engines (doesnt mean Izd.30 necessarily) and currently the plan is to fit Izd.30 to a T-50 in late 2017-early 2018, what frame exactly unknown.

That's Feodosya in the southeast coast. Today is the final part of the exercises, for the last over two hours they've been running amok over our harbor and right over our house, literally so close to the house the windows shook, we could smell the fuel and all of our rather large dogs were together in a pile in their palace, said pile roughly 3 cubic centimeters they were huddled so close. They don't like very loud noises.
