MiG has got some very nice export contracts as of late, hopefully they get more from India and close the MiG-35 state tests and return stably to profitability. The new MiG-29 generation should allow to bridge the gap until a new plane is developed, maybe not with the best profit margins but if the ruble continues as massively undervalued as it is now they can crush the competition in terms of pricing.

The other news is that Algeria signed a contract for 14 Su-34E fighter-bombers (apparently not Su-32) from OAK's NAZ. Mena Defence says the first 6 should be delivered this year, with the remaining 8 to be delivered in 2022-2023.24/

The sale of Russian Su-57 and Su-34 to Algeria received the first confirmation from Russia.

Despite the fact that information about the sale of Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighters and Su-34 fighter-bombers to Algeria appeared quite a long time ago, only the day before did the first confirmation appear that Algeria is really armed with these combat aircraft.

According to the Russian news publication Zhukovskie Vesti, the first deliveries of Su-34E fighters to the Algerian Air Force will begin this year, and although information about the supply of Su-57 fighters to Algeria has not yet been commented on, the Algerian media previously stated that that Algeria and Russia entered into a contract specifically for the supply of these combat aircraft.

“First, a batch of 20 Su-34 aircraft will be built at NAZ, and then upgraded Su-34M aircraft will be built and handed over to the Russian military. It is assumed that in 2021 NAZ will build the first Su-34E aircraft for the Algerian Air Force. Algerian Air Force ordered 14 bombers Su-34E " , - said in a statement the publication" Zhukovskiye lead."

According to experts, deliveries of Su-57E fighters to Algeria may begin by 2025, when the mass production of these combat aircraft will reach full capacity, although no official comments on this matter have yet been made.

Sometimes they are right, but my advice is that when you see them publishing something sensationalistic or far fetched, you can put that in quarantine until you see it published somewhere else... frequently they just make things up.

Wow, Algeria is buying anything.

Algeria is after all, just one NATO intervention from turning into the post-apocalyptic shithole that is Libya right next door. Anyone in their position would be buying as much Russian arms as they could afford.

Tank level protection and fire power optimised for engaging enemy infantry and light armour... sounds ideal for a country fighting terrorists that don't have modern HATO MBTs...

Back in 2011-12 there were French politicians who jumped the gun (thinking Syria was already finished) and called for humanitarian bombing in Algeria, the problem was Syria wasn't finished and they let the cat out the bag. No doubt the Algerian leadership caught wind and reacted accordingly.

Also, I highly doubt the Western humanitarian bombers can replicate their work they conducted in Libya, Iraq or Syria, in to Algeria. They're too well armed and trained. Their Iskanders would wreck havoc on their naval fleets and on their invading ground forces. Similarly they have an air defence structure modeled like the USSR/Russia's IAD network. In fact, it's safe to say outside the CIS, Algeria has the military structure that most resembles Russia's.

Algeria is discussing 7b$ deal with Russia .

What is interesting though at the top of this page are MiG-29Ms in Algerian colours... but everyone says Algeria rejected MiG-29SMTs and bought Flankers instead... so now with Su-57s and Su-35s available why would they bother buying those crappy MiGs again... unless the smaller lighter cheaper to operate MiGs might make sense even for countries smaller than Russia....
