The imbecilic politics is dialed to max. The science demonstrates the efficacy of Sputnik V. Some fcukass bureaucrat does not get to decide

The only thing that might come out of this summit is some agreements on arms control at best.

It is an ego event for creepy joe... he needs journalists there... but the risk of Russian journalists speaking to him in English and asking awkward questions probably have his handlers shitting bricks...

The only thing that might come out of this summit is some agreements on arms control at best.

I suspect creepy joe either wants to project as an international statesman that gets things done, or knows how to control those damn Russians because he is not Putins puppet.

I doubt his handlers will want him to spend any time alone with Putin... Platinum rosebud...

And more bad things will happen because of the summit. Things that wouldn't of happened if Putin told the US to **** their summit.

Interview with Dmitry Trenin, Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center

The newspaper "Kommersant" under the headline "Russia will be in a state of confrontation with the West for quite a long time." Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center Dmitry Trenin on the new balance of power in the world ” published an interview with the director of the Carnegie Moscow Center Dmitry Trenin.

A well-known Russian expert in international affairs, director of the Carnegie Moscow Center, Dmitry Trenin, has published a book "A New Balance of Power: Russia in Search of Foreign Policy Equilibrium . " This is perhaps his most complete and monumental work, which, as the author hopes, will give impetus to a broad public debate on the country's foreign policy. In an interview with Yelena Chernenko, a Kommersant correspondent, Dmitry Trenin said what, in his opinion, is wrong with the current model of Russia's development, what foreign policy mistakes the government made in the past and how Russia should behave in the international arena in the future.

"Russian political culture as a whole is quite cynical, while Western political culture is hypocritical. This is not criticism, but observation. I prefer ours as it is not misleading."

    https://www.zerohedge.com/crypto/colonial-pipeline-hack-russians-fbis-ransom-grab-what-really-happened

Speculation has been running rampant over today's FBI press conference revealing the recovery of most of the ransom paid to "Russian" hackers by Colonial Pipeline.

    Ben THE Kaufman summarizes:

Media: "The FBI hacked Bitcoin and can take anyone's funds."

Reality: The pipeline hackers didn't have the Bitcoin in the first place but kept it in a remote server the FBI could access with subpoena.

Media coverage is mostly lies at this point.

Which raises the following point (h/t Jordan Schachtel):

So the "hackers" brought down the largest pipeline on the east coast...

...but couldn't spend 50 bucks on a clean hardware wallet to secure their bitcoin?

    Makes sense to me!

The USA and its anti-Russian propaganda is an epic joke.

He will listen I am sure, and will take an opportunity to talk to these people directly, which will be a revelation to these two idiots because all they hear over and over is that Putin is a monster... a thug... a liar and a murderer... when we see him in interviews he comes across as anything but these things.

Russia and Putin lose nothing by going to this event and listening to what is going to be said.

Creepy Joes people are probably already declaring victory and let them... who cares about stupid US politics... the point is that Putin will have to listen to them and they will have to listen to him and perhaps bypassing all the middle men they might be able to get through some of the bullshit and agree on a few things.

    I am not expecting much.

I noticed that a huge portion of the media, Russian and not (RT, Duran, and the like) are all saying Russia may get banned from SWIFT. I asked the question but never received a reply on the Duran on how they plan to ban Russia from SWIFT and how will US get their titanium/Aluminum, and EU their energy and their metals as well? Once they are kicked from SWIFT, Russia will have to turn off the taps cause that means they wont get money from EU.

I know Iran was banned from SWIFT so I am aware they still trade, but they also had to wait till they could trade when they found alternatives. I know Russia's alternative exists but I am curious who is connected to it currently which can easily transfer money to Russia.

SWIFT is just a messaging system so it is not any sort of cut off from funds transfer. The ploy being planned by NATzO is to cause a
disruption and then blame Russia for "blackmail". The average western MSM consumer sheep needs to be told what to think so
they will not link cause and effect.

I am sure that the disruption will be quickly terminated. Here is where Russia should get some payback for the blood libel by
not restoring the supply for 6+ months. Let NATzO squirm and get nice and juicy GDP decline rates. NATzO fcukers are banking
on Russia working quickly to minimize the disruption. NATzO does not need the disruption to be long, even less than a week of
stopped gas supply will be a big shock. With titanium it is obscure because there is a long lead time to production.

IIRC Russia has setup a financial transfer scheme independent from SWIFT and one of the endpoints is in Switzerland.
These facilities were made after the US left the JCPOA and Iran was cut out from SWIFT.

I hope they do get banned from SWIFT.

SWIFT is an agreement and payment system between most of the worlds banks, but it is not an ancient system... before its existence people traded with products and currency etc etc before SWIFT came into effect.

The point is that SWIFT makes things easy and quick but not necessarily cheap... the profits go to the western overlords that control it.

If the want to cut Russia out of that they are essentially forcing Russia and the countries that want to trade with Russia to set up an alternative to SWIFT... now of course it wont be huge or powerful like SWIFT, but it will also not be something the west or more precisely the US controls, which removes another power from the US to control people.

What would be worse would be adding fees or extra costs with dealing with Russian banks and Russian companies as a sort of penalty for trading with them.

Kicking them out of SWIFT forces them to activate an alternative to SWIFT which I think will be good for Russia in the longer term.

Anyone who wants to buy from Russia can join this new system, so for most countries it wont be a problem being parts of two systems... there are already other systems in use like Paypal and other money transfer systems too... it will just be one more, but it will be one Russia controls and one presumably Russia will make money from... what is not to like?

    Worth watching.

    1) The US is clearly drinking its own propaganda koolaid. It thinks Putin can be bought off like their usual stable of rotten compradors.
There is a statement attributed to Einstein which may not have come from him which goes: repeating the same ineffective action and
expecting a successful result is the definition of mental inadequacy.

    2) The US walks, talks and thinks like a mafia state. It is literally trying to foist a protection racket on Russia as part of its effort to
undermine China. This is consistent with point (1). Mafiosi think that others are like them. They do not understand the motivations
of non-criminals. And don't really care.

    3) The US is fully deluded about the economic weakness of Russia. It believes that stock valuations are real wealth and not virtual vapour
money that can never be realized. That Gazprom does not have the stock valuation of Exxon does not give Exxon more hydrocarbon reserves
and more relevance. Russian companies can turn around technology on time scales that put the USA and the rest of NATzO to shame. Of
course no MSM is going to highlight this since it destroys the narrative that the west is superior.

    4) NATzO retains the syndrome of the original crusaders. It thinks it gets to decide for humanity even though about 10% of the global
    population live in NATzO.

Americans really need to buy a clue. You live in an oppressive lawyer run police state where your so-called freedom of expression,
opinion and your individual rights are at the whim of committees and BS laws passed by politicians beholden to special interests.
You can keep voting for the D. or R. Party until the Sun burns out, but you are not exerting any democratic power. You are not
deciders of anything and if you stick your neck out to be a good Samaritan the system will try to lop your head off.

In the above video you see the Kafkaesque essence of America. Some committee following some BS rules does not need to prove
its case that the engineer's calculations are wrong. It just has to invoke the fact that his license has expired. Because everyone
knows that the brains of engineers expire together with their licenses. Now, tell me how is this video showing us American "freedom".
What actual crime did this engineer commit. I thought the US constitution was there to limit capricious definitions of criminality and
freedom-violating laws. Clearly, this is not the case.

If you need to see what a load of propaganda BS is the whole fable about how "people are innocent until proven guilty" then consider
all the IRS cases. They involve the victims of the state having to prove their innocence. The IRS never has to prove anything, it
just makes demands. And Americans think they live in a free country and project all sorts of inane fantasies on how bad it is in the
    rest of the world.

Biden vs. Vlad the Impaler, by Finian Cunningham for Sputniknews. 14.06.2021.

Both sides acknowledge that relations between the United States and Russia are at an abject low point. And both sides have said they want to make relations better. But who is actually making a positive effort to reduce tensions and give peace a chance?

It should be obvious that the Russian side is the only party that is acting responsibly and with a generous spirit of trying to improve bilateral relations.

President Vladimir Putin says he hopes to open personal communications with American counterpart Joe Biden when they meet for their summit in Geneva on Wednesday. The Russian leader has played down expectations of a breakthrough, but nevertheless, his stated aspiration is for a productive detente.

There is little to no reciprocation of benign spirit from the American side. Biden and his aides may say the US does not want a conflict with Russia. But apart from that rhetorical concession, the Americans are pushing aggression and making the Geneva meeting sound like a showdown.

The unwillingness of the US president to hold a joint press conference with Putin following their private discussions is a telling sign of the obnoxious American attitude.

There are two reasons why Biden doesn’t want to appear side by side with Putin in front of the world.

The first is he would not be able to handle Putin’s intelligent arguments and criticism of American policy. Joe Biden’s mental faculties are in serious doubt following well-publicized gaffes and missteps of forgetting names and incoherent speech. Not meaning to sound cruel, but Putin would demolish Biden in a public discussion.

Biden and the entire American political establishment constantly accuse Putin and Russia of malign conduct, everything from being a “killer” to interfering in elections, cyberattacks and threatening the national security of the US and its allies.

The depiction is a fantasy based on Russophobia and bigoted prejudice. As Putin pointed out in a recent US media interview: there is no evidence ever presented to back up these wild pejorative claims. It is all unsubstantiated, rabid nonsense.

If Putin was on the same public platform as Biden, we can be sure that the veil of lies would be torn from the American facade of acting tough and sanctimonious. Biden would be left quivering and mumbling like an impotent idiot. Indeed, any American politician would be since they are all brainwashed idiots bloated from their own propaganda.

Thus, the world would see in a wonderful moment just how ridiculously naked the American emperor is and all his NATO minions are.

The second reason for why Biden could not abide standing alongside Putin is that that image confounds the American propaganda of demonizing “Vlad the Impaler”. Any appearance of a smiling Putin in a normal friendly setting with Biden would undermine the narrative of Putin-the-bogeyman.

That’s why the meeting has to be held in private and afterward the Americans can spin some account of the talks to make themselves sound morally superior by claiming to have brought up concerns about “human rights” and “malign behavior”. We can be sure if Biden dares to act self-righteous, Putin will deftly slam the absurd hypocrisy.

But it’s also vital for the American side to portray the encounter as a showdown between a good guy and a bad guy. The charade only works if kept in private.

At least in the past, Ronald Reagan was photographed having convivial fireside talks with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev when they met in Geneva in 1985 and produced a landmark arms control treaty. To his credit, too, Donald Trump held a joint press conference with Putin when the pair met in Helsinki in 2018 and there was no acrimony.

But Biden, like most American politicians and media, is full of stupid antipathy towards Putin and the Kremlin. He warned menacingly last week he’s going to tell Putin “what he knows”. Biden says the Russian leader “needs to change his behavior” if there is to be any improvement in relations.

It’s going to be very difficult to engage in productive dialogue when the American mindset is so indoctrinated with false propaganda.

Some observers may wonder is there any point in Putin meeting Biden under those circumstances? After all, it was Biden who invited Putin to meet him.

The willingness of the Russian side to engage – in spite of the American animosity – is a clear sign of political maturity and generosity to try to create a more peaceful world. The onus is on the Americans to change their behavior and stop malign conduct. That’s the real challenge.

It's my opinion, Biden couldn't follow the question so he snapped a reply at the reporter. He had no clue what the reporter asked him.

Biden snaps at reporter over Putin question: 'You're in the wrong business'
President apologizes afterward for being 'such a wise guy'

    https://www.foxnews.com/media/biden-snaps-reporter-over-putin-question-wrong-business

Biden's angry response didn't sit well with some reporters.

"If you’re the most powerful person in the world and you can’t field questions from the media without losing your temper, maybe you’re in the wrong business," New York Magazine's Olivia Nuzzi tweeted afterward.
