Lexus plans to unveil a new electric concept at a show in Japan starting October 26.
At the Japan Mobility Show, which will be held in the Land of the Rising Sun from October 26 to November 5, 2023, Lexus will present a new concept electric car, as reported by the brand’s press service.
The manufacturer states that the electric car will have an aerodynamic silhouette, and the interior will be made using environmentally friendly and high-quality materials.
In addition, the new product will receive a “revolutionary body design” and an updated software platform. The first copies should roll off the assembly line in 2026, and the car will be produced using a “drastically changed method.”
It is possible that Lexus will be equipped with a new type of battery, which the parent brand Toyota talked about on September 14, 2023. These batteries will appear in the series in 2026 and will be able to provide a range of up to 800 km on a single charge. At the same time, it is possible to charge them from 10 to 80% in 20 minutes.
The next step will be the creation of batteries capable of providing a power reserve of around 1000 km. At the same time, in the future the company hopes to create more efficient battery options with which electric cars will be able to cover 1,200 and 1,500 km.
