Yes, it is good news that there was no fatalities in either case, but it is certainly something that needs investigation...
BTW the Ka-60 was mostly rejected for the recon role in the Russian military because of its French engines... it will have to wait for Russian engines to be ready before they will consider it for the light helicopter roles it has.
The Ka-226T looks more flexible and appears to have more potential, but a small Ka-62 that can replace all the old Mi-2 Hoplites still in use and of course the western helicopters like the Euro Squirrel and the American Jetranger will be a good thing for Kamov to fill that gap in their inventory.
The Ka-52 is a much heavier aircraft but I think it makes a better recon helicopter... it is certainly not stealthy but it fills the niche the Comanche was going to fill as a companion to the Mi-28NM.
