Russophobia, Common Lies-Nonsense on Russia - Page 13 Empty Re: Russophobia, Common Lies-Nonsense on Russia

Post  GarryB Sat Jun 04, 2016 3:20 pm

"Ever hear of "you get what you pay for"? If you are on a budget, and don't intend to fight the United States on any level, then buy cheap Russian crap. Many middle eastern countries have gone that route. The world has seen how THAT has turned out when fighting us.

Hahahaha... yeah... with the right equipment any third world shit hole can beat a super power at the game of war... with that sort of logic you would think the US could invade any country and always win.... cough cough Vietnam, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya...

Until the muds and the homos completely take us over you will never be on our level.

I assume he means coloured people when he says muds... sounds like a nazi piece of shit... Russia dealt with them before.

Never be concerned about Russians and 'superiority'. They do not belong in the same sentence. Every white race has it's best attributes. Military engineering is not the forte of our Russian brethren.

Yeah... clearly some Aryan super hardman... those Panthers and Tigers were beautifully engineers, but those primative cheap simple T-34s fucked them hard.

That said, no nation makes their most state-of-the-art weapons known to others(even in leaks) until they have surpassed it with something else. I have ETSed 20 years ago and there are still some things we had then that the people do not know about now. Trust me, even with the recent influx of social debauchery, we are well ahead of pootin and his wannabe resurrection of the USSR.

Is he kidding? The Aurora complex... the SR-71 is it buddy, there is no mach 6 stealth recon bomber... it is made up bullshit, just like the F-35 being anything other than a pension plan for a few CEOs at Boeing, or the various super bombers or super stealth ships that will save the US from the great unwashed... I believe the military technical term is vapourware.

Still, America succeeded where Russia failed in numerous areas of the space race.

Yeah... in most important areas like actually getting something into space like animals or satellites or people the US succeeded a couple of years after the Soviets...

Comment by budellshannon: Not sure about their weapons but their ammo sucks. I used to sell ammo and the Russian stuff was dirty as hell. Wouldn't recommend it unless you want to clean your weapon after every shot or risk it jamming on you from all the residue left behind.

Oh yes... you can't get western weapons dirty or they jam... that is why Georgian soldiers got their AKs out to fight the ruskies in 8 8 8, rather than their fragile temperamental brand new western rifles...

In real wars you only get brand new freshly made clean burning ammo.... like the ammo for the M16s in Vietnam... HAHAHAHA.

Even if Russian jet fighters are better than the F35, it is not the job of F35 to combat Russian jets, that's the job of F22. Once the F22 clears the sky of enemy fighters, F35s can easily fly around, blasting enemy transport aircraft and helicopters out of the sky.

Russia is a real enemy, not some third world country the West is used to fighting. Where are those F-22s going to be operating from? The first 30 minutes of WWIII and every airfield in western europe will have a pretty orange glow.

F-22s wont be clearing anything... they wont even get past a few S-400 and S-350 batteries.

And even if T90 is better (with quantity taken to account) than the Abrams, once the F22 does its job, all those T90s become easy pray for the Warthog, F35 and the like. After they are dealt with, the Abrams tanks can roll by the smouldering shells of T90s, and blast bunkers and other strong poi ts, making way for the infantry.

Warthogs couldn't even survive SA-8s let along TORs and BUKs and Pantsirs. Not to mention Iglas, Verbas, and SOSNAs.

And Abrams had better look out for Konkurs and Metis and Kornets and of course Atakas and Vikhrs.

We have seen all this during both Iraq wars. There Mig29s proved no match for F15s, and after they were cleared from the sky, helicopters and attack planes cleared the way for ground forces.

Against third world airforces with their comms and HQs and air defence networks smashed a whole lot of F-15s supported by JSTARS and AWACS can do a very efficient job of dealing with the one or two enemy aircraft that get airborne and try to challenge them. In tests in Germany however those old unupgraded MiG-29s kick NATO ass... that is why the west switched focus to BVR and AMRAAM because they knew in a close fight against a MiG with a helmet mounted sight and R-73s they were dead.

The disparity of strength between air forces in Iraq wars was so grotesquely large, that iraqui pilots not only didn't dare take off, they even buried their migs in the sand, to prevent their destruction.

And if the Iraqis had F-35s the situation would have been the same... with their infrastructure seriously damaged and no support aircraft they would be no better off... the brave US pilots would have murdered them just the same. I say murder because the US attack on Iraq basically equated to a home invasion... it was very much like WACO... they have illegal weapons in there and we have to go in and get them... although at WACO they probably only killed about 70 women and children whereas in Iraq they liikely killed thousands.

As a whole, I think American weaponry still has a significant edge over any possible enemy. Comparisons between single weapons are pretty useless, what counts is the overall strategic situation, with the combined armed forces taken into account. That's what counts.

I love your logic... you think American weapons are significantly better, but it is pointless to compare them individually presumably because they don't actually compare very well (ie significantly worse), so lets look at the whole military as a system because when the US fights a third world shit hole they come with a full set of 16 chess pieces when the enemy has 8 pawns and a king.

Problem with that logic is that Russia has a full set of 16 pieces and has proven rather smarter at using them than the US has... how many trillion does the US spend on Defence?

Had Gagarin burned up on launch, nobody would have heard about him, and two weeks later Titov would have been launched and become the first man in space. This could never happen in USA, a failure would have been highly publicized.

So they failed to get the first satellite in orbit and the first man in space and the first woman for that matter, but they did it openly and without secrets... and that is what is important?

So why is it no longer so important now?

Snowdon should be a US hero for revealing the dirty dealings of the US government... instead he is called a criminal for revealing the criminal activity of the US. Fucking Hypocrites.

Truth and Justice were supposed to BE the AMERICAN WAY... sadly it has become Lies and Revenge.

BTW, there actually are numerous disastrous events in the Soviet space endeavour, but we just don't know about them, because they only reported Gagarin, and they kept the lid on all the dead in their rocket explosions.

There were hundreds of failures on both sides. There are no secret Soviet deaths in their space industry.

Additionally, their secrecy allowed the Soviets to cheat. The rules at the time said, that the astronaut has to land inside the spacecraft. Gagarin jumped out of his spacecraft, and parachuted down to earth. The Soviets didn't mention that fact, and under the rules on the competition, the Americans actually won, because the first American in space actually landed in the spacecraft.

    What the fuck?

Gagarin was the first human in space AND the first person to actually go into orbit. Shepard didn't even go fast enough to get into orbit... he just went up and came down like a fucking rock.

For people, who haven't experienced communism, this stuff is beyond imagination, so nobody takes this stuff I to account these days. But there is still a stalinist country in the world, where the communist party has a firm grip on media. It's North Korea. There the starving population keeps hearing about how they live in the best country in the world, and they only ever hear of North Korean success and that extends to things like sports. North Koreans never get to hear their national team was defeated, the communist party never releases the news. They get to hear about victories, and they get to watch replay of the match afterwards.

In that kind of society, the government can get away with a lot. Even if the population is starving.

Actually China is communist and so is Cuba and their only problems are related to sanctions and external pressure exerted by the US... otherwise Cuba would be fine.

But we had pilots state that the mig15 would NOT get to the assembly line in the USA because of how poorly it was built. Look it up

After the wall came down we realized that most of their stuff was pretty much crap.

Funny how engineered to the level required is considered crap by you. Not manufactured in the US because there would not have been enough profit margin to make the owner of the factory rich... crap that kicked your ass on many occasions.

This is how bad the Soviet system was:

America put three men in a space capsule.

So the Soviets put three men in a two man space capsule. There wasn't enough room for them to wear space suits, so they sent them up in track suits instead.

It was dangerous and risky, but if they died they would be heroes of the state, and if they lived they would be heroes of he state. It's all the same to the state.

    That's how communism works.

And this is how bad the US system is... US space suits were rigid and made of lots and lots of separate components... each arm and leg joint was a separate piece that had to be put on a person and the seals checked... it took 6 hours to put on a US space suit. The Soviet suit was a one piece, the backpack opened like a door and the cosmonaut jumped in from the rear and shut the backpack rear door and they then checked the seals... it took 30 minutes to do all the checks.

Brand new US suits are a lot like the old Soviet ones... just like the F-15 looks a lot like the MiG-25, and the Bradley IFV looks a lot like the BMP...

Not necessary, US ARMY can crush Russia in less of six hours. F-16 is knowed as a "MiG-Killer", it has the record that destroy over 200 MiG-29 and no one russian jet has shutdown just one. putin still gloryficating the stupid ussr and he want create it again.

Hahahaha... the US army couldn't find its own ass in 6 hours with a torch and a map but without GPS.

During tests after the end of the cold war the F-16 was repeatedly beaten by old model MiG-29s the East Germans had. The F-16 has never taken on a MiG-29 one on one without support.

Did the USSR not care about the men who they sent in outer space like some posters on that forum said? I don't know for sure. It is about propaganda against Russia.

Space is dangerous, many died on both sides learning lessons... one thing they both found is that in oxygen rich atmospheres as used in low pressure capsules anything that will normally burn will explode with a high oxygen atmosphere... both sides had three men each burn to death because of a spark... but the claim is that the Soviets didn't care about their men... I am sure they were in tears in Washington when their men died... NOT.

Does Russia have secret advanced state of the art equipment that is hidden from the public?

Why does it need secret weapons? In terms of small arms they are better equipped, in terms of air defence systems they are substantially better off, in terms of aircraft the new models are not plentiful but as shown in Syria can do a much better job for a fraction of the price the western air forces do it... remember it wasn't just bombers... they had to find targets too.

At the end of the day I couldn't care less if some Americans are idiots and believe their own propaganda.

There are dumb fucks and there are people interested in the truth.

If you look around on this forum there are several Americans that have respect for Russian and Soviet weapons... Zivo, Mike E, Auslander, SOC, ... generally they have respect because they have a better knowledge and understanding of Russian and Soviet weapons and equipment... ie how it is and why it is the way it is.

So there are apparently trolls going on in 4chan pol section flooding the forum with these kind of threads:
Russophobia, Common Lies-Nonsense on Russia - Page 13 WrZiRnV

And I have to say, it is a load of crap. Many other Russians have called them out on it and even Ukrainians and other nationalities. Their claims are:
    - Evil Putin created law for FSB to kill civilians
    - Because USD value is so high it is destroying country
    - oil prices are low
    - Poor Khodorkovsky is being threatened again
    - evil Putin is making lies about immigration system
    - Russians claim that inflation is double (so higher than 16%)

There are others, but it is pathetic really. They claimed that 8chan was banned in Russia but as one guy pointed out, no nationality flags are used on 8chan so it isn't so easy to track people thus he called them out, and the fact that the Russian variant of 4chan 2ch, kicked them out.

Garry thank you. Your responses sound well informed and intelligent.  You respond with good logic and reasoning.  I think we Americans know little about Russia and listen to a lot of propaganda.  I think Americans underestimate Russian capabilities.  It is good to know the other side's point of view.  It is the primary reason why I joined this site; to interact with people and exchange, debate and read other ways of thinking and understanding different worldviews from my own.  Would love to understand the Soviet point of view of the Korean War.

Would love to understand the Soviet point of view of the Korean War.

Actually you might be surprised... Korea and Cuba and Vietnam are all related... your US history will tell you it was all about communism, but that would be wrong.

Korea was an occupied country just like Vietnam and Cuba... for a lot of their recent history Korea was occupied by Japan and the Korean war was an attempt to unify the country. In Vietnam, again it was a foreign power that occupied the country... in this case France. In Cuba the occupation was less obvious but when Cubans could only get jobs in white owned sugar plantations or as cabana boys in hotels owned by the US based mob where most of the tourists went for gambling purposes then things had to change as far as the locals in each case was concerned.

If the US had offered military assistance to reunite Korea and to kick the french out of what they called indochina, and to deal with the mob and the one percenters that owned almost everything in cuba history could have been very different.

They have flooded /pol/ with a large amount of new threads on exact same (copy paste). Some are claiming to be Siberian that they want separation. I called them out to prove they are but won't do so. I counter argue, they just call one a pootin bot, kremlinbot, or everything else. # of other Russians and Ukrainians calling them out on their bullshit has also increased too.

So according to other Russians and Co, these same people were kicked off of 2ch and /int/ since constant trolling. They are much hated.

In the follow up to the recently released film by German journalist Hajo Seppelt “Doping Secret: Showdown for Russia,” Russia’s state television channel Rossiya 1 decided to send its political commentator Olga Skabeyeva and her crew to interview the journalist about the documentary. However, the interview ended with insults, threats and harassment.....

Unfortunately, Tanknet has become better known in recent years as a cesspit of xenophobia and racism. It has been sliding downwards for a couple of years already.
It used to be very informative, but there are a bunch of posters pushing an unrelenting campaign of hatred against who they hate, and the mods simply let them do it.

You used to be able to get proper information from the site a few years ago, but that has dried up. For example, when I last visited, I noted some questions and speculations about a very unique armoured vehicle. The speculation was based on people guessing, or ignorance due to not knowing anything about the vehicles, as many decent knowledgable posters no longer bother posting there due to the sustained hate campaign.
Having information and the backround to the 2 prototype vehicles, I was intending to correct the incorrect speculation, but all I had to do was click open yet another anti-Russian thread (one of about 10 ongoing ones), and I decided not to. The information I had was not in the public domain...one day I will share it, but not there.

This is Tanknets loss.....they are welcome to deteriorate into further ill-informed guesswork.

There are 3 or 4 posters in particular who follow a rabid anti Russian campaign: Swerve, Stuart Galbraith, Gregory, and Damian.
They make no bones about their hatred for Russia or anything Russian. Swerve and Stuart Galbraith in particular have devoted thousands of posts delivering their anti-Russian hate message. Swerve has tried to chase the last remaining Russian poster off that forum.

And just a heads-up: Stuart Galbraith reads this forum.

After many of the good posters have left or got tired of the hate, he has taken it upon himself to cherrypick stuff from this forum, RussianDefence, and present what he thinks will further his "message" over there. He doesn't speak Russian, and hates Russia, but has tried to set himself up as the resident Russia "expert", all the while delivering his poisonous message. He mentions that he gets "info" and pictures from here. I expect one day he will try join to ask questions so he can further refine and deliver his "message" of hate, and I will be here to harrass him and point out and remind him of his hatred and why he would be totally unwelcome. Just like I did to that other spacker from MilPhotos, DForce.

Tanknet is a hollow shell of what it used to be...it's not even informative anymore. I've not bothered to go back there in ages.
I politely asked the mods why such a sustained campaign of hatred was allowed, and pointed out that it would lead to the derioration of the site as more knowledgable posters would leave. I got a week suspension, whilst Swerve, Stuart Glabraith, Gregory and Damian were allowed to continue with their xenophobic and basically racist message.

News about armoured vehicle developments are more recently only making it there weeks, somethimes months after they happen. And in many cases, not at all.

It is a complete waste of time....you don't really learn anything from there anymore once the decent posters decided to leave.

News about armoured vehicle developments are more recently only making it there weeks, somethimes months after they happen. And in many cases, not at all.

It is a complete waste of time....you don't really learn anything from there anymore once the decent posters decided to leave.

Not to mention there is malware on the side besides the horseshit russophobic campaigners.

So Germany and Poland, together, invaded Czechoslovakia starting World War 2, but Poland apologised.

The West backstabbed Poland in 193x. They promised that they would protect Poland, but they let Germany invaded Poland.

The West backstabbed Czechoslovakia and they did nothing when Hitler absorbed Austria.

And I did not see any Western goverment apologized for that.

Yeah, I am in the same boat. I used to visit the tanknet AFV sub-forum to learn about AFVs once in a while but I noticed it getting progressively less active and less informative (more speculative and biased) since about a year or so ago. These days Chrome is giving me a phishing warning about the site so I just stay away. There are other places to discuss AFVs, so no big loss.

Even ignoring the malware warnings visiting the site gives, why bother?

The last time I bothered about half a year ago ago the actual level of information and news was low. The actual AFV side of the forum is basically dead.
All you have left is a hollow shell, with outright racists and xenophobes such as Stuart Galbraith, Swerve, Damian, Gregory, and a few other scum taking over and pushing a message of hate. They've been allowed to completely drive the site down into the toilet with their unrelenting racist campaign of hatred.

Half a year ago already the post count was low, the information side was low, and all that really gets posted is hatred by the gang. I haven't been back since, even though I was a member for 10 years, and there are quite a lot of other knowledgable posters who voted with their feet by leaving when it was clear what was happening.
And the moderator Jeff let them do it. When I politely brought up the deterioration of the site, I got a week ban. When the last remaining Russian poster tried to counter some of the hate, the mod actually attacked him and accused him of spreading propaganda. Some posters opened a thread to ask why the site was dying, but there was zero honesty in it.

You didn't actually learn anything from there toward the end. It was a complete waste of time in the last year or so, and had become little more than just another hate site.

well if you hate other skin colors you´re a racist scumbag, if you hate Jews you´re an antisemite f@ckup and if you hate Russians you´re then a morally superior westerner lowing rule of law and democracy.... that´s why no court ever closes such site because of hate speech...

I used to visit the site much more frequently. Still do, if only to browse the most interesting AFV threads.

The current condition is a reminder to everyone, what censorship and single-mindedness leads to. The current events part is toxic.

The delusional and ignorant fucktards posting there simply don't have anyone to call them out on the nonsense they spout. You have western Europeans posing as experts on eastern European and Balkan history, you have mongrels writing about "Russian nationalist" Bolsheviks, Soviets, Putin, Stalin. It is really that stupid.

With no one to ridicule them, disprove their unfounded claims and post primary historical evidence, they sink ever deeper, becoming more convinced.

Which is why it is important to preserve discussion and pluralism, high number of contributors, on this forum, in my opinion.

Garry thank you. Your responses sound well informed and intelligent. You respond with good logic and reasoning. I think we Americans know little about Russia and listen to a lot of propaganda. I think Americans underestimate Russian capabilities.

The really sad thing is that stupidity is contagious and after discussing such topics with those who believe western propganda I find myself putting down western achievements for the sake of putting them in a better context in comparison with Russia.

The Americans put men on the moon and that was a fantastic achievement... but the fanbois claiming US superiority in everything demanding that is further proof that the US is superior to Russia leads me to point out that a few minor changes and it could all have turned out very differently for both sides.

I fall in to their pattern of thinking where it is not enough for my side to be great... everyone else has to be proven to be rubbish too.

For a while the open thinking of America attracted the best and the brightest the world had to offer... but now it seems it is just money that draws talent there.

The US has had its own way for many years through fair means and fowl and the system it has created around itself is failing. They might smash it down and rebuild it, but I have no confidence they will rebuild it into anything that could be remotely considered fair... it will be a biased once sided system that benefits the already rich and the already powerful and ultimately themselves. When you only reward your own success then the 99% will find they have no future and therefore no real alternative.

The huge irony is the proliferation of Zombie movies and TV shows... the unwashed masses with the smaller and smaller group of "civilised humans just fighting to survive".

In fact I saw the perfect TV show a year or so back where a plague or something wipes out a huge percentage of the population and the rest have to fight it out... based on a US Navy warship of course...

not sure where to post it, but it's just one clear example of typical western arrogance and pure ignorance (here, precisely american). Just read the thread and appreciate the confusion, sheer ignorance and stupidity and delusion of these fools. Just a drop in the ocean of crap, just one more evidence. 12 years old discussion... Yep, they were as stupid back then as they are now, nothing changes.
