Interesting poll in Turkey..

It looks like Turkey people are not as crazy as their President ERdogan..
in a poll done by a research team... it was found half of the Turkey citizens polled ,
did not support their Government actions in Syria and wants their Government to be neutral
and stay away of it.. and only ~30% of its citizens support Turkey military adventure and
support for terrorist.



This ~30% have to be close number of the real Support ERdogan have in Turkey.
My best guess is that Turkey ,even if it managed to fully control AFRIN , he will face
the same thing that US military had to face in the iraq invasion after they capture all IRAQ.
American troops lost more soldiers to civil armed insurgence and car bombs ,Post invasion ,than
the losses during the invasion of IRAQ.  ERdogan will face endless years of resistance in AFRIN ,
and  thousands of casualties with a major expensive war that will drag Turkey economy..
This is a very risky move ,because Turkey could face its own Free Turkey Army.. and its own rebels
too.. the conditions are there.. for this.. the European Union ,support kurds, Russia too.. and Syria
military is capable to make alliance with them ,whenever interest are the same.

So Afrin could be erdogans vietnam.. a war where americans won all the battles but in the end lost the war.
Because of public opinion and the impact on US economy. Any new leader in Turkey that comes to power
could reverse everything ERdogan have been doing in Syria and call troops back.. and restore relations
with Syria. and Russia is fully aware of this... of Erdogan's very HIGH RISK ,he face in Syria ,of losing the war in
the end.. or even the partition of Turkey from kurdish zones too .. if Kurds began to be heavily armed by foreign players.

So this story is about a Wagner mercenary that died in Syria and was given 5M rubles in insurance money. It seems to make a big deal about recognition etc. I think its all nonsense. Soldiers have been asked too long to die and have their bodies broken for a piece of tin and parades. Some hard cash is better. They brought his body back, and compensated his family. I don't see how this is not MUCH BETTER then the traditional deal where you get a flag and a "the nations gratitude"

Urban warfare and thermobaric bombs are a great combination. If you have some hive of terrorists entrenched in apartment blocks these
bombs can suffocate the vermin by consuming the oxygen in confined spaces while at the same time leveling the buildings. Nice to
see the SAA not wasting soldiers and ammunition by trying to dislodge the vermin with old style approaches.
