Not sure if one of them is the same T-55, but a bunch of photos that look to be from the same event. (Pro-ISIS page, also R18+) https://web.archive.org/web/20160620125802/https://justpaste.it/vgad

My guess is that's yesterday's news before SAA retreated.
Some outlets are 24 h slow.

Check out this guy's trip to KRG and Syria a few weeks ago.

Nuts you'd go to all that length to get into Syria, but then just simply buy into the propaganda around Government controlled territory, so only stay in Kurdish cities. Nonetheless, excellent photography and interesting write ups.

    This part cracked me up:
The absurdity of US-backed forces using US weaponry to destroy US-made military vehicles is perhaps an apt reflection of the very complicated mess in the Middle East that America is reluctantly being forced to deal with.

Replace with: caused, is prolonging, doesn't care about. lol1

    Meanwhile:

    https://www.rt.com/news/347556-turkey-killing-refugees-hrw/

Human Rights Watch is investigating reports that Turkish border guards killed an entire family of Syrian refugees fleeing the war-torn country. As Ankara denies the accusations, HRW told RT it holds “no hope” that those responsible will face justice.

Up to 11 Syrian civilians, including an entire family, were shot dead as they tried to cross into Turkey at the Khirbet al-Jouz crossing over the weekend, according to various media outlets. The footage supposedly taken in the aftermath of the shooting showed a number of slain women and children.

They losing soldiers because they are saddled with bunch of Syrian bitches although this is hardly unique problem for Russians. I am sure US military is deeply familiar with this problem in the Mid East.

Problem was not the pickup truck that soldier was standing behind. Problem were SAA clowns who should have been helping him but who ran away instead.

And that equipment is used for right purpose: protecting Russia not being wasted on saving some Mid East shithole and it worthless incompetent population.

Better course of action is to pull all Russian ground personnel back to Latakia and put VKS back on the job but I am sure Syrians will find the way to fuck that up again like they did the first time.

By far smartest approach would be to get as much Syrian and Iranian meat as possible and to throw it in the fire. Syria and Iran have population of tens of millions. That is a lot of perfectly good cannon fodder. Herd those morons, give them AKs and sent them into the meatgrinder.
Get barrier detachments behind them to keep them in line. Given Syrian and Iranian track record of heroism and competence there should be no shortage of volunteers for those detachments.

Letting Russian soldiers die while perfectly usable meat just sits around idle is tragic idiocy.

Haha Papadragon is a savage, how ever what the Russian soldier did is heroic, The Syrian troops in the Raqqa OP have been thrown back because some idiot commander forgot to reinforce their rears, so when the ISIS VBIEDs on mass started attacking what is assumed to be at least a few platoons with god forsaken T-55s they chose to fall back to reinforced lines. How ever, after they destroy this ISIS barrier they will be able to advance farther towards Tabqa. My question is where the f*ck is the helicopter support.

T-55s as a spearhead is the stupidest thing to do when you have T-90s... Either way why the f*** did the gunner not shoot the VBIED with his coaxial machine gun? The ZSU gunner appeared to be playing with himself, while as you can see a professional Russian soldier is shooting by himself towards the jeep. I mean this is crazy, some times the SAA is very professional other times they are worse than the goat f*ckers they are fighting.

They need to forget about Tabqa.
Every day they dying for nothing, in Darayya and Ghouta, elite troops, some say that more then 1/3 of the army is fighting in Rif Dimshq.  dunno

Sending those troops from Tabqa to Darayya and Ghouta would be good idea, finishing off terrorists around Damascus, and moving troops to next front.

Damascus is not a big problem friend, they have to threaten Raqqa in order to pressure ISIS from other areas. IMO Aleppo must be defensive, until Raqqa is threatened and cut off. While at it Latakia must be mopped 100% clean, and then after that threat is over move troops into Aleppo. I agree with you though, troops are dying for nothing.

In order to counterattack, Daesh had to deploy numerous soldiers to fight along a roadway through the middle of nowhere, on terrain that looks like the Mars.

Every terrorists that gets killed out here, is one less terrorist that can fight in the cities and towns in raqqa. ISIS' similar counterattacks have ended in disaster, think Khanasir and Al Safira. This will be the same.

SAA is in serious trouble, pretty much kicked out of Raqqa in less than a day. Also the Palmyra Russian airstrike news can be translated to imminent losses in that front, if SAA doesn't get a grip. They lost some checkpoints there and there are pics of a destroyed T-72 and a captured SAA soldier.

The problem is there a shit load of NATO Speical Forces in Al-Raqqa and Aleppo, so it is not easy as you think.

Yeah Rambo is there too  tongue
Be realistic, SAA losses have nothing to do with uber-capable SF operators. Sure IS has some tw@ts like Gulf advisors, money, gucci kit often times. But their drive and victories over SAA are not attributed to them. IS has no air force, no choppers and not as many UAVs.  SAA is just being their usual incompetent, beyond help really.

Russia needs to consider plan B, Alawistan and Kurdistan. They could even go as far pull a Crimea on Alawistan in the long term.

Hassan Ridha tweeted that SAA will continue the operation for Raqqa. I recommend sending the SAA to training for 3 months before their dumba** selves can fully understand how to fight on open desert plains. First off where are the T-90s that were highlighted in the beginning of the operation. Second off, where the f*ck is the artillery support? thirdly, how are you going to lose to VBIEDs???? God you literally have a video of a Russian soldier with no cultural ties to Syria, fighting die hard to the last where SAA dudes are running away. RiP to the SAA men but this is not acceptable.

A counter-attack should be launched as soon as possible, before these douche bags can dig in, plant IEDs and mines ect. Or further exploit the lines.

    Oh my god...
According to this man, ISIS allegedly cut the corridor, SAA is trapped.
Journalist on the road to Tabqa.

Saponkov(Journalist in Raqqa) writes that IS counteroffensive pushed to within 2km of SyAA artillery positions, BM-21s started direct fires
To the best of my knowledge, last time BM-21 was utilized in direct fire role in Soviet Afghanistan.

Russian reporter Roman Saponkov saying about "catastrophe" in Raqqa and East to Palmyra. ISIS attacking with many dead SAA soldiers, Raqqa battle group is totally destroyed, some possible trapped in IS pocket

This is the text in english: In general, the situation is ambiguous . I do not know how to write , so as not to incur the wrath of the Syrian comrades , but yesterday in the vicinity of 19:00 ( two hours later I left there - Chuyko worked ) LIH popyorli attack . On the eve of weighed position and left PMC " Desert Falcons " . After that, the front collapsed , the Syrian army pulled back to 15-20 km . from the junction Tabka - Deer - Eze - Zoor . This is the province of Aleppo, 2-3 km . to Raqqa province . At night, the rout continued . The enemy struck a powerful blow in the area of the checkpoint " SiriyaTel Towers ." At positions exploded a dozen suicide machines , each of which covers one checkpoint with 50-100 personnel . Now we can talk about several hundred died and wounded. There is evidence that the boiler was formed between the checkpoint " SiriyaTel Towers " and pumping station , which is 2-3 km away. the fork Tabka - Deer - Eze - Zoor . How many people died is not known .At the moment the grouping as a shock unit has ceased to exist . Try to keep at the front checkpoint " SiriyaTel Towers ' ', but extremely pessimistic forecasts . I will not reveal details because I have read and from the other side . In the morning, the enemy continued to pressure bombings , shelling from artillery. Also problems in Palmyra area. Night attack in Raqqa was synchronized with the attack in Palmyra According to unconfirmed reports , lost a few roadblocks , including the so-called "Granary". When we went to Asriyu , we are witnessing a tank fired at insurgents on the road to Aleppo Salaam . On the way back, there have already shelled out Strelkovka . So it may be a problem in that place. In general , there is a feeling that the problems are just beginning. At yesterday's retreat on the photo fork Tabka - Deer - Eze - Zoor . Translated it with google translate and it is pretty accurate I think, basically come down to that the Syrian army got buttfucked by ISIS in a bunch of suicide and artillery attacks

What once were two SyAA T-72M1s, Thawrah oilfield, Raqqa.

Russian delivered Ural-4320-31 armoured truck knocked out by the Islamic State near the Thawrah oilfield.

    more :

From where did they come from?
Islamic State forces used at least three T-72s in their assault, a well equipped contingent indeed.

    Photos
    more:

They let SAA come close to Tabqa, and struck hard from all sides.
Artillery + multiple car bombs(10) on different locations along the road.

I think it's time to fall back and finish off all those pockets.

    Just one post for now.

    Where are the choppers? Mi-24P, Mi-28, Ka-52?????

Palmyra theatre was much larger than Tabqa but the difference was active support of the choppers in addition to others. I have not yet seen combat support from the helos, or maybe I missed it???

Considering there is absolutely no staging ground for helos nearby, probably they are not being used in this offensive and the ground units are all alone by themselves which was not the best way to advance on a well entrenched opponent. The closest to Tabqa airbase is Kuweries, all other secure operational bases are just too far away like Hemim airbase or Hama. Others like Tadmur/Palmyra (which is till far) and Kuweries have not yet been operational. Is that the reason why we have not seen any combat support from the helos in this offensive?

The choppers would have done a great work in this open desert like they did in Palmyra, If anyone got any info on the helos please do post it.

Unless there is an offensive from the Kuweries area to the east along Deir Hafer including the Jirrah airbase, an assault on Raqqa would be very hard. That is the closest airbase to Tabqa and Al Raqqa and this sector need to be secured to have a proper integrated assault on Raqqa and Tabqa.

None of this will be happening if MR PUTIN had proper airforce backing people in the ground
in the RAQQA offensive. and the Syrian army is using NOT using obsolete T-55s . to face suicide bombers armed cars full of TNT. All this casualties could have been avoided had Russia properly armed Syrian ARmy ,or at least had enough Airforce there to bomb the hell of terrorist. but it looks the Russia Airforce split from side to side and and is never all the time in any front line.

And NATO special forces are in Northen Syria US ,France and UK ,close to RAQQA. about 50km or less of Syrian Army positions ,ie. withing range Artillery. So i will not be surprised US special forces are fighting with ISIS.  Veterans Today reported one incident that Hezbolah fighters captured an American SF fighting with ISIS arrested.

    Where are the Russian drones?
    Where are the Iranian Drones?
    Where is the artillery backup?
Why no T-72s in the Raqqa offensive ,Russia have more than 5,000 of them. ?
Where is the Russian Airforce backing the RAqqa offensive ?

None of this loses of ground will be possible with a strong Airforce covering SAA advance in
RAQQA. or at least a dozen of T-72s with auto targeting . Terrorist always use the same tactics of very fast suicide bombers attacks followed by a wave of terrorist on fast pickups with heavy machine guns.  Terrorist use lighting speed attacks with lots of suicide bombers  and a t-55 or a pickup civilian truck is not the correct military hardware to face that.
