Maybe the idea is to present some Turkish F-16s as Saudi aircraft so that if Russia decides to shoot them down, they will be counted as Saudi losses, allowing Turkey/NATO to save face.

Since when Saudis fly F16... he surely wanted to say F15.

The threat to SyAAF fighters from ground fire have receded, but still they should avoid such bomb runs with a dive. Russia needs to upgrade these strikers to make them possible for high altitude bombing.
