Turkey does not intend to send troops to Syria, said the defense Minister

ANKARA/MOSCOW, 15 Feb — RIA Novosti. Defense Minister of Turkey Ismet yılmaz stated that Turkish authorities did not send troops to Syria and no intention of doing so, according to the Agency Anadolu.
"No thoughts about Turkish soldiers entered Syria", — quotes the Minister Agency Anadolu.
Yılmaz also denied the information of some media about the entry of 100 Turkish soldiers on Syrian territory. According to him, this information is not true.

Davutoglu said that Turkey will continue to respond to the attacks of the Kurds in Syria
Referring to the placement of aircraft in Saudi Arabia to Turkey, the Minister noted that the aircraft is not available, but it could happen tomorrow. "Not yet, but they have studied the situation on the ground. Made the decision to deploy four F-16 planes. Today the aircraft was not yet, but tomorrow may arrive. There is agreement in principle. Given proper authorization," stated the Minister.
Over the weekend Turkish artillery fired on fighters of the Kurdish self-defense forces on the territory of airbase Minneh in Syria and in the village nearby. In Ankara called it a reprisal because of "the threat to the borders of Turkey" Kurdish Party "Democratic Union" and demanded that she leave the position to the North of Aleppo, on what the leader of the party of the Syrian Kurds Salih Muslim refused.

Maybe the idea is to "present" some Turkish F-16s as Saudi aircraft so that if Russia decides to shoot them down, they will be counted as Saudi losses, allowing Turkey/NATO to save face.

Well USA, KSA and UAE jointly paid for Turkey's 80 Block 50 F-16C/Ds back in the 90s (reward for GW1 participation).
Still it sounds like a far fetched scenario.

They can try but it will not save their face nor keep them from getting shot down.

I do hope they try though... Twisted Evil

Guys, take out worries on F-16/15.....what we have at the table is a real prospect of murican fanboys to shut their mouth regarding "combat scores"....
What the MiG-29s, Su-30/35/34 have on their target are the F-16s and F-15s....I'd like to see all Saudi 20 x F-15s going into Russian/Syrian MiG-29 scores when things gets hot.....just my wish. Very Happy

Grounds have changed hands many times I guess....the map looks different from the earlier one with consolidation in some places. I wonder if the earlier offensive by SAA Tiger forces in the western direction with the real prospect of closing the supply lines and creating a caludron was a diversionary attack to draw out the terrorists strength from the Thermal plant area?

Video of Kadyrov talking about Chechen special forces infiltration of ISIS. I guess the agents involved have returned to Chechnya, as any Chechens left in the takfiri ranks are going to be under suspicion following this. It may also be a bluff (though I doubt it). But either way it should further demoralise the takfiris.

There was an earlier execution by the ISIS of a so called Russian who they claimed was a Russian agent from Chechnya.

FWIW a CNN report from somewhere on the Syrian Arab Forces front line. According to the reporter, the Syrian commander was not allowed to speak to him, but made a local civilian stand in for him. The reporter also finished with a statement that the SAA hoped to reach Raqqa by the end of the year! I don't there will be much problem meeting that target!  Laughing
