Sounds like the paranoid ramblings of the sort of people who thought the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan was to get warm water ports... or the sort of people who thought that Iran handed over F-14s and Phoenix missiles to the Soviets in the 1980s because obviously that must be what the MiG-31 and R-33 were based on...

Re: RUSSIA - CHINA Military Contracts:
Why would china spend a fortune getting access to Su-35s and then give them away to an enemy of a friend of Russia?

The Chinese sound rather upset to the threat of US sanctions for their purchase of S-400s and Su-35s... this should be interesting... especially in regard to the other buyers of S-400 including India and Turkey and Saudi Arabia... assuming they all go through of course...

Re: RUSSIA - CHINA Military Contracts:
Russia completes delivery of Su-35 fighter jets to China under a 2015 contract
As Interfax reported on November 26, 2018, Russia completed the delivery of multi-purpose Su-35 fighter jets to China as part of the contract. This was announced on Monday by an interlocutor of Interfax.
"The last aircraft under the contract were sent to China," he said. According to him, the full implementation of this contract, which involves not only the delivery of aircraft, will end in 2020.

The FSMTC of Russia does not comment on this information.
Rostekh said earlier that China bought 24 fighters from Russia, the contract price is about $ 2.5 billion.
Earlier, Rostec reported that four Su-35s were transferred to China in 2016, 10 Su-35s in 2017. Thus, in 2018, China received the last 10 fighters.
In 2015, China officially became the first foreign customer of Russian Su-35 multirole fighters. Prior to this, the Su-35 was operated only by the Russian VKS.
In September, the US Treasury announced the imposition of sanctions on the department of technology development of the Central Military Council of China due to the purchase of China S-400 and Su-35. Restrictive measures were introduced within the framework of the CAATSA Sanctions Act (“The Act on Counteracting America’s Opponents through Sanctions”), aimed at curbing trade in Russian arms.
Serial production of the Su-35 is conducted at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Gagarin Aviation Plant (part of the Sukhoi company).
From the side of bmpd, we recall that China ordered 24 Su-35 fighters under a contract with Rosoboronexport, concluded in November 2015. The first four Su-35 fighters under this contract were built at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu.A. Gagarin PJSC "Company" Sukhoi "in 2016 and distilled in the PRC on December 25, 2016, the next five Su-35s were distilled in the PRC on July 3, 2017, five more were distilled in the PRC on November 30, 2017, and another five - in June 2018. Now, apparently, the final five aircraft were delivered.
In the PLA Air Force, Su-35 fighters enter service with the 6th Aviation Brigade (the former 6th Aviation Regiment of the 2nd Aviation Division) at the Suiji Airfield near Zhanjiang (Guangdong Province) equipped with Russian Su-27SK fighters.

In brief, some S-400 missiles fell overboard/were damaged when in transit on the long journey to China. There was a storm that hit the ship in the English Channel in December 2017. The shipping company is now being sued for damages. The insurance company is already paying out.

Anybody else suspicious about shipping S-400 missiles past Britain... when a storm suddenly hits... why did they even go that way?
Were some supposed to fall overboard so the British could recover them and take a good look... was it a scam... was it a double scam... send fake missiles with the wrong setup to fool the west and get some insurance company to pay for it?

Re: RUSSIA - CHINA Military Contracts:
Mi-17V-7 helicopters with a VK-2500-03 engine of the PLA army aviation
Multipurpose helicopters of the Mil family under the designation Mi-17V-7 with a VK-2500-03 engine manufactured by the St. Petersburg-based UEC-Klimov JSC (part of the United Engine Corporation of the Rostec State Corporation) began to enter service with the Army Aviation Narodno -China Liberation Army.
The use of VK-2500-03 engines in Mi-171 helicopters provides an increase in carrying capacity, static and dynamic flight ceiling. In addition, the large available engine power in emergency flight mode provides increased flight safety with one engine running.

Sounds like Russia are now making enough helicopter engines to supply export customers as well as domestic production... that is good news as they are no longer dependent on the Ukraine for such things.
