Re: Russian military movies
I see Fencer got his own movie
It's appropriate since retirement is approaching soon and also it did insane amount of heavy lifting in Syria (I don't think it's original designers were able to even imagine it doing something like this, some airframes had over 1000 combat sorties)
Definitely made it's mark on history in the overtime

Re: Russian military movies
Ironically upgrades have made it even better than it has ever been before... and that means accurate but also affordable...

Re: Russian military movies
OK, guys, some of the links previously posted here have already been lost. I will try to update some and add new ones.
So, the first one is the White Tiger, a film by Karen Shakhnazarov.
The main mistake of English-speaking viewers is that they completely miss the deep meaning of the film, which is filled with allusions to modern reality. If you missed this layer , for you the film will be an average action movie with a mystical component and a strange plot. If you pay attention and can draw analogies , you will understand that the film describes the existential struggle of the inhumane West, hungry for total control over civilization, and the absolute expression of this perverted inhumanity is the Third Reich and the White Tiger. The main idea of the film is revealed in the two final dialogues. Nazism has not gone anywhere, it is here, among us, it is not killed, but only damaged, and it has been an absolute European civilizational narrative for centuries.
The next film that was unfairly not mentioned here: Olympius Inferno.
The film about the events of the war 8.8.8. Is not available on YouTube with subtitles, but it can probably be found here(this is not an advertisement, I just want to give an opportunity to evaluate the film for those who can't watch it in Russian).
Brest Fortress. I think there is no need to add anything here.
Belorussky railway station.
One of the best films about the war, where there is not a single minute of war.
The fate of man
Not exactly on this topic, but also close to war films. Cold summer of the 53rd
