An Iraqi friend messaged me asking to clear up a confusion regarding a mistranslation on Kataib Hezbollah’s statement.

When Kataib Hezbollah said they want to prevent "embarrassment". That was a mistranslation. They're not talking about any type of embarrassment. They're literally saying "difficult position/predicament". As in, Kataib Hezbollah, stopped so as not to put the government in a "difficult position or predicament", because the government is currently in talks with America and negotiating their leave. Not "save them from embarrassment".

CONFIRMED: US carried out the strikes:

US Official confirms to BBC that strikes occurring in Iraq & Syria targeted 8 locations, and is just first of many courses, so far.

CENTCOM claims:

Americans forces conducted airstrikes in Iraq and Syria against “IRGCGF” and affiliated groups.

US forces struck more than 85 targets, with several aircrafts, including long-range bombers flown from US. They used 125 precision munitions.

** It’s important to know that the casualties are likely only Syrian (and/or Iraqi) unfortunately.

Hopefully Syria can use this as an opportunity with Iraq to perhaps coordinate a response against the US... by working together and even including Iran and other countries in the region, they will have a better chance of kicking the unwanted invaders out of their countries.

Carried out a military operation against specific Israeli targets in the Umm al-Rashrash area (Eilat) south of occupied Palestine, using a number of ballistic missiles.



— Al-Qassam Brigades:

Targeted an armored personnel carrier (APC), in the neighborhood west of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.

Targeted a Merkava tank with Yassin-105s, causing it to catch fire in the Jora al-Aqad area west of Khan Yunis.

Destroyed an IOF armored personnel carrier (APC) with Yassin-105s, in the Gaza City axis.

Engaged with IOF forces, and eliminated 15 IOF soldiers at point-blank range, west of Gaza City.

Shelled a gathering of invading IOF soldiers in the axis west of Gaza City with mortars.

Successfully targeted 3 Merkava tanks in a complex ambush with Yassin-105s & "Shoav" improvised explosive devices, north of Gaza City.



— Al-Quds Brigades:

Shelled the military site of "Fajah" in a joint operation with the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades using 107mm rockets.

Shelled a gathering of israeli soldiers and vehicles, west of Khan Yunis with 60mm mortars.

Targeted an IOF force of 10 soldiers with a TPG rocket, resulting in casualties, in the neighborhood west of Khan Yunis.



— Al-Aqsa Brigades:

Targeted a Merkava-3 tank with an anti-armor rocket, on the southwestern axis of Gaza.

Shelled a tank parking area near Street 10, southwest of Gaza, with a barrage of short-range rockets.

Targeted a D9-bulldozer with an advanced anti-armor rocket, on the western axis of Khan Yunis.

Launched a 107mm rocket barrage targeting military positions, east of Maghazi.



— Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces:

Targeted gatherings of israeli soldiers behind dirt berms, with a number of mortars, east of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip.

Launched a number of mortars at a gathering of IOF military vehicles in Kissufim military site.



— Al-Asifah Forces:

Targeted 2 Merkava tanks & a D9-military bulldozer with RPGs, on the axis southwest of Khan Younis city.



— Mujahideen Brigades:

Shelled gatherings of IOF soldiers and vehicles in the axis west of Gaza City with short-range rocket barrages.

Targeted a Merkava tank with an anti-tank rocket, in the vicinity of the Soussi Tower in Gaza City.

Targeted the positions and deployment of IOF soldiers, southwest of Gaza City with mortars.



— 🟡 Hezbollah:

Targeted the Ruwaysat al-Alam site in the hills of Kafr Shuba and the occupied Shabaa Farms with rockets.

Targeted the deployment of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Ruwaysat al-Alam site with rockets.

Targeted a building in the Avivim settlement with appropriate weapons.


This list did not include rockets fired from Gaza towards settlements.

STATEMENT by the Iraqi government regarding the US aggression:

The U.S. administration has committed a new aggression against Iraq's sovereignty, targeting the positions of our security forces in the Akashat and Al-Qa'im regions, as well as adjacent civilian areas, with airstrikes from multiple American aircraft.

This blatant aggression resulted in the martyrdom of 16 individuals, including civilians, and left 25 injured, causing losses and damages to residential buildings and citizens' properties.

Subsequently, the US side resorted to deceit and distortion of facts, falsely claiming pre-coordination for this aggression. This false assertion aims to mislead the international public opinion and evade legal responsibility for this rejected crime according to all international norms and laws.

This hostile strike places the security in Iraq and the region on the edge of the abyss, conflicting with efforts to establish the desired stability.

Iraq reaffirms its rejection of its territory becoming an arena for settling scores, and all parties should recognize that our country and its sovereignty are not the appropriate place for sending messages and showcasing power between adversaries.

At the same time, we emphasize that the presence of the international coalition, which has deviated from its assigned tasks and authorization, has become a threat to the security and stability of Iraq, justifying Iraq's involvement in regional and international conflicts.

The Iraqi government will exert every effort required by ethical, national, and constitutional responsibilities to protect our land, cities, and the lives of our sons and daughters in the armed forces in all their forms.

Glory and honor to our brave martyrs, and a speedy recovery for the wounded.

| Statement by Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces/PMU) regarding the American aggression in Iraq:

The savage American aggression continues with blatant airstrikes targeting the official security headquarters of the PMU through air strikes that last night targeted the sites in the Al-Qaim district in western Iraq.

This aggression resulted in the death of 16 martyrs and the injury of 36 others, while the search is still ongoing for the bodies of a number of the missing.

— The toll of air strikes was distributed as follows:

• The Anbar Operations Mobile Headquarters and the support battalion of the 13th Brigade (7 martyrs & 7 wounded)

• Logistics support headquarters (1 wounded)

• Artillery position (1 martyr and 4 wounded)

• Armoured fighter site (3 martyrs, 10 wounded)

• Tank battalion site (4 wounded)

• 2 sites belonging to the 45th Brigade (11 injuries)

• Issam al-Baldawi Hospital affiliated with the medical unit (5 martyrs)

The American targeting is a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Iraqi state, attacking its official security apparatus, reaching the homes of civilians, causing panic, and violating all international laws and norms. Therefore, we emphasize the readiness of the mobilization to execute any order from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to preserve the sovereignty, unity, and safety of Iraq and its people.

Hebrew Channel 14 broadcasted scenes from last Friday, during which an Israeli tank was hit by the Palestinian resistance and caught on fire, with the tank commander suffering burns.

The Israeli 9th Brigade had to enter the scene to rescue the IOF forces. Simultaneously, they launched a drone targeting the resistance fighters.

The value of the resistance fighters' perseverance becomes evident in this operation. They are aware they might face martyrdom at any moment but courageously continue their operations, striving towards liberation.

Chairman of the Hashd al-Shaabi (PMU), Faleh al-Fayyadh:

• The American aggression was a direct targeting of the Hashd al-Shaabi.

• This incident will not go unpunished, as it represents a shameless targeting.

• The blood of the Hashd al-Shaabi represents Iraq’s status and dignity.
• We will not accept that the blood of our children be cheap political material.
• The Hashd al-Shaabi are the pride of the armed forces and the pride of the Iraqis.
• The land of Iraq must be cleansed of foreign presence
• Targeting the Hashd al-Shaabi is playing with fire.

Interestingly, today many of the unclaimed attacks against IOF bases were claimed by the Lebanese Amal movement.

Amal is another Lebanese shia resistance group, they are Hezbollah’s allies.
