Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov, has urged Ukrainians to assemble FPV drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at home. Authorities in Kiev believe this will kick-start the mass production of drones.

The minister advised Ukrainians to undergo free training and assemble drones themselves. According to him, production is now developing, and while companies are gaining momentum, citizens "can personally lead Ukraine to victory, even on the home front". He spoke of one such initiative, the People's Drone project, which involves building 7-inch FPV drones at home.

While the Ukrainian government steals foreign aid, citizens are encouraged to build drones at home. To each his own.

    @ukraine_watch

Drones are on their way to becoming a kind of AK 47 of the 21st century. Soon you will see chickens being changed by a drone.

Le Figaro: “the Russian model is more attractive” - a French sociologist predicted a quick collapse for the West, 01.14.2024.

The West is facing imminent collapse, the famous French sociologist Emmanuel Todd, who predicted the collapse of the USSR in the 1970s, said in an interview with Le Figaro. His conclusions are based on three factors: industrial decline and the decline of education in the United States, the disappearance of Protestantism as a value system in Western society, and the growing attractiveness of Russia in the eyes of the rest of the world.

The conflict in Ukraine is not over yet, but the West has already gotten rid of the illusion of a possible Ukrainian victory, noted the famous French sociologist Emmanuel Todd in an interview with Le Figaro. The next stage will be the general collapse of the Western model, Todd predicts in his new book.

His conclusions are based on three factors: first, the industrial deficit in the United States and the fictitious nature of American GDP. The specialist believes that the reasons for the industrial decline in the country are the insufficient level of engineering training and the decline in the level of education in general.

The second factor that will determine the defeat of the West, the author of the book calls the disappearance of Protestantism as a value system of Western society. In his opinion, it was Protestantism that provided a high level of education and universal literacy unprecedented in history, strong individual and collective morality, which led to significant economic and industrial progress in Western countries. At the same time, the worst manifestations of racism were also a consequence of the spread of Protestant ideology. The recent collapse of Protestantism has led to intellectual decline, the disappearance of the work ethic and the emergence of mass greed, officially called "neoliberalism."

Todd believes that the third factor in the defeat of the West is the growing attractiveness of Russia in the eyes of the rest of the world. According to him, Moscow “is finding invisible economic allies everywhere.” The new conservative Russian “soft power” “worked to its fullest” when it became clear that the Russian economy could withstand the shock, the expert notes. As the sociologist explains, to the outside world, modern Western culture looks “crazy” in many ways . Moreover, since the West "lives off the low-wage labor of men, women and children from the former Third World ," its morality is not credible.

Todd is convinced that in the Ukrainian conflict, the Americans will look for a way to maintain the status quo that would allow them to hide their defeat, but this will not suit Russia. In his opinion, Vladimir Putin will achieve his military goals by preserving people. “He wants to preserve the achievements of stabilization of Russian society. He does not want the remilitarization of Russia and is interested in continuing its economic development,” the sociologist believes.

That is why Russia intends to crush Ukraine and NATO now, without giving them any respite. “Let's have no illusions. Russian efforts will increase,” Todd predicts. The West's refusal to see Russian strategy in its entirety has led to general blindness, the book's author believes. In his view, the worst is yet to come for Ukrainians and Westerners militarily.

According to him, what is said in the West about Russia is often incorrect: it is presented as a country in decline, without noticing that it is at a stage of rapid recovery and reconstruction. At the same time, it is possible that it is the hostility of the West that structures and arms the Russian system, fueling patriotism and national unity. And sanctions have allowed Russia to launch a large-scale import substitution policy, which will give their economy a significant advantage over the EU economy, Todd states.

Only if Russia takes out ( A) then NATO will only take out ( B) . Well if the value of ( A) > ( B ) then it makes sense ? But what is left then for both sides ? Lets say ( C ) for Russia and ( D ) for NATO . What if this time ( C ) > ( D) ? Now these could be economic ventures or GPS satellites or undersea internet cables or Gas pipelines . Who would come on top ? So A sighted man , will cross a River over the shallows , and a blind man takes a chance . Seeing in your mind's eye or modelling , enables the safest route . I am sure they must have war-gamed or simulated this war many times . But can you see , in your mind's eye a simulation ? I can . It can help in many situations .

Lieutenant General Stanislav Nikolaevich Pavlovich of the AFU was killed in a Russian strike on the 10th of January.

He also could’ve have been shot down as the article says he was still flying at the age of 65.

I don’t know what worse losing a Lieutenant General on the ground from a Kinzhal strike or being force to use such a high ranking officer as a combat pilot.

Ah, I see, "Ukrainian sources claim," but even Forbes Magazine can't seem to provide "any physical evidence." Oh and is this just one A-50 or 2? Forbes and MSNBC have Ukraine as claiming 2 , why not 100? Now you must excuse me because I am going to do some very adult things with my two porn star girl friends in a hot tub full of money on my private plane on the way to the Maldives. I won't be furnishing any photos or receipts or details so you'll just have to take my word on it and believe it to be true which is basically the same level of evidence the western corporate state propganda press machine requires when it quotes Ukrainian claims.

In fact, this is only half the truth. Most Ukrainians have fled to Russia. And there are 5.3 million of them!

The fact that they have not rushed back on their own accord says a few things... in fact I think if a few EU countries decided to get tough and round them up and fly them back to their motherland that that might create a weight of numbers who really don't want to fight to cause problems in the Ukrainian military and perhaps bring on if not a collapse then at least more widespread mutiny.

The enemy publishes footage of the “disappeared” Abrams

Actually all its problems which make it a pain in the arse for Kiev would also make it difficult to capture.... it is so heavy most engineer vehicles will struggle to drag it, and running the engines clogs them up and ruins the engine...

Only he can't even use a hammer (nice one btw) properly.

In his defence his political opponents staged that... the hammer he was given had flat batteries so he had no chance...

Drones are on their way to becoming a kind of AK 47 of the 21st century. Soon you will see chickens being changed by a drone.

Have you seen the drones made of sticks and bits of string in Yemen... cheap and simple... something the west forgot.

Noone in their right mind would put their money out of the West. Dictators, Oligarchs, they will continue to put their wealth in Europe and the US.

The interesting thing is that most of the worlds rich think they get the best benefit by investing or hiding their money in the west... once that becomes unsafe then they realise they have to invest in their own countries and when they do they help grow and develop their own countries which benefits those that still live there... many of the richest and most wealthy people from not first world countries often buy property in western countries so they can escape if they need to... if their lives are threatened or more seriously they get asked to pay a more fair amount of tax on their ill gotten gains.

Putin loves that the west are bullying the Russian super rich in the west... the only safe place for their money becomes Russia and Russia benefits directly because of the money coming back but also the lessons to new Russian rich people taking over western factories and franchises in Russia realise it would be a mistake to move their money to the west where it can be stolen too.

Foreign investment used to be seen as essential but in fact it is just the rich from foreign countries building things in your country and then draining money from your economy for ever after because they did one nice thing. Local investment means the money stays in the economy...

Foreign investors are not interested in improving things except where it makes a profit... local investors might want improvements to help the local community that they are part of.

One thing crises have proved is that USD is King. There is always a rush to safe haven. This war is not going to change that, quite the contrary.

More and more countries are abandoning the USD because at any time the US could turn on you and block your access to your own money. Not every country now accepts USD or Euros either... and US actions are accelerating its own decline.

From which airbase do the A50 and ILs come from?

Seeing the compelling evidence on that Il-22, it would not be outlandish to indicate the loss of an A-50. Which if true, would be a major loss, a large PR victory for the ukronazis and a reminder that this war is far from won for the Russians.

First of all, it only confirms what Oleg wrote from X (above).
That the IL-22 made it back badly damaged.
If this is true, then the second, the fairy tale of the A50, may also be true.
One would certainly already have pictures and a "search" would certainly also exist.

BS. The Kiev regime always inflates the number of kills of anything. So, no, it does not follow that one damaged plane demonstrates
    another downed one.

Best to wait for details, but looks like A-50 is true as two biggest sources who don’t have incentives to lie reported it.

What system was used? No details out and I can’t tell from the pattern (I have a suspect, but rather not say it… study study study )

The even better thing is to wait for debris to be found.

If it really downed on sea, then some parts might got beached, as sea has current. If it's downed above land, there would be wreckage.

Seeing the compelling evidence on that Il-22,
Story was that two planes were lost.
Seeing one return to base with some damage means that half of the story was proven to be a lie.
Which makes someone question the rest.
