Colonial Hubris

The Zionist insistence that Al-Shifa Hospital was linked to Hamas in some way underscores the short-sighted hubris of the IOF. Their assumption was that the bunker they themselves built there back when they occupied Gaza must be being used by Hamas, because:

1. Their infrastructure is clearly so superior to anything the "native savages" can put together
2. Hamas are just as OK with bringing hospitals into warzones as they themselves are.

It's remarkable how ethnosupremacist hubris can be so blinding, and how little they have learned about their enemy over the years.

The tunnel system that the resistance built, stretching hundreds of kilometers, overshadows any kind of bunker the IOF has ever built - and, the resistance in Gaza follows moral and Islamic principles, and would never endanger a hospital by settling in a bunker under it. But this is clearly a hard idea for the Zionists to grasp.

Ground Situation in Gaza

According to Al-Mayadeen's military analyst, the IOF has started retreating on some axes after taking heavy losses from resistance attacks and ambushes.

Meanwhile the IOF advance remains held up on the Beit Hanoun/Beit Lahya axes, as it has been since the start of the ground operation, where they have failed to make any progress and continue taking heavy losses.

Similarly, IOF attempts advance on the Jabalia axis are being fully and firmly confronted by the resistance, who are holding ground there in fierce battles, rather than conducting hit & run ambushes as they do on other axes. It is likely this is due to the urban nature of the area making this kind of defence possible.

Finally, the IOF attempted to surprise the resistance today by pivoting into a new zone, assuming it to be poorly defended because the resistance's forces are held up elsewhere - but ended up being themselves surprised when they found it just as heavily defended as the other axes, and that the resistance thus has plenty of forces ready on all axes, at all times.

SUMMARY of Hamas military spox, Abu Ubaida:



• In the past 72 hours, Hamas destroyed 60 Israeli military vehicles, including 10 APCs

Fearless. But these guys move like amateurs. You don't see rifles providing covering fire; they take shots out in the open; they don't clear backblast; etc. In general they just take too many unnecessary risks that proper training should've ironed out.

They are also in plain clothes. Hamas regulars are uniformed.
